Božić je došao i na istok grada Splita, no ne uz pomoć gradske vlasti već mještana i lokalnih političara kojima je dozlogrdilo čekanje i odlučili su uzeti stvar u svoje ruke.

Mejašani su tako po prvi put dobili blagdansku rasvjetu i Gradski kotar se ponosno pohvalio kićenjem tri ulice.

- Nakon što sam proteklih godina bezuspješno molio Grad Split da nam za blagdane ukrasi ulice, vidjevši manjak želje da se to zaista realizira, kotarsko vijeće je odlučilo ukrašavanje uzeti na sebe - piše Toni Piplica, predsjednik kotara iz redova HDZ-a.

- S obzirom na limitiran kotarski proračun gdje većina istoga bude potrošena na komunalne probleme, počeli smo skromno. Ukrasi su postavljeni u ulice Mejaši, svetog Spasa i Lovački put - kaže Piplica i najavljuje da im je cilj svaki godine okititi još koju ulicu više. 

Tako će iduće godine dašak božićne čarolije osjetiti i stanovnici Puta svetog Ižidora, Ulice Josipa Jovića, Ulice 141. brigade Hrvatske vojske i Puta Vrborana.

Piplica je za Slobodnu Dalmaciju rekao i da nisu čekali pomoć gradskih tvrtki da bi instalirali dekoracije, već su samostalno angažirali privatnu tvrtku i u kratko vrijeme obogatili svoje ulice.

Božić je došao i na istok grada Splita, no ne uz pomoć gradske vlasti već mještana i lokalnih političara kojima je dozlogrdilo čekanje i odlučili su uzeti stvar u svoje ruke.

Mejašani su tako po prvi put dobili blagdansku rasvjetu i Gradski kotar se ponosno pohvalio kićenjem tri ulice.

- Nakon što sam proteklih godina bezuspješno molio Grad Split da nam za blagdane ukrasi ulice, vidjevši manjak želje da se to zaista realizira, kotarsko vijeće je odlučilo ukrašavanje uzeti na sebe - piše Toni Piplica, predsjednik kotara iz redova HDZ-a.

- S obzirom na limitiran kotarski proračun gdje većina istoga bude potrošena na komunalne probleme, počeli smo skromno. Ukrasi su postavljeni u ulice Mejaši, svetog Spasa i Lovački put - kaže Piplica i najavljuje da im je cilj svaki godine okititi još koju ulicu više. 

Tako će iduće godine dašak božićne čarolije osjetiti i stanovnici Puta svetog Ižidora, Ulice Josipa Jovića, Ulice 141. brigade Hrvatske vojske i Puta Vrborana.

Piplica je za Slobodnu Dalmaciju rekao i da nisu čekali pomoć gradskih tvrtki da bi instalirali dekoracije, već su samostalno angažirali privatnu tvrtku i u kratko vrijeme obogatili svoje ulice.
