Dobro napreduju pripreme da se umjesto muzeja uspomena u Brodarici s više od 7000 eksponata, ranije nazvanog Muzej Vremeplov, ta rijetka zbirka preustroji u hrvatsko-američku Kuću sjećanja, i to u Zagrebu, na čemu radi sedam ljudi iz kruga domaćih stručnjaka i osoba iz američkog veleposlanstva.


Takav oblik zagovara i ravnatelj hrvatskog dokumentacijskog centra Domovinskog rata dr. Ante Nazor, koji bi prihvatio dio zbirke koji se odnosi na prilike u Hrvatskoj od Domovinskog rata i nakon njega.


To smo saznali od Ive Svirčića na Brodarici, koji je dodao da ga je sin čuvenog skladatelja Jakova Gotovca, skladatelj Pero, koji je umro prije dvije godine, obavijestio da mu je njegov otac ostavio original partiture čuvene pjesme "Marjane, Marjane", svojevrsne splitske himne.


I sve to zato što mu je dalekih šezdesetih godina bio od velike pomoći pri popravku automobila koji se pokvario na putu za Split i tamošnji festival koji se upravo održavao. I otac i sin boravili su zbog toga dva dana na Brodarici i potom na vrijeme stigli u grad pod Marjanom.


Pri kraju svojega života, Jakov Gotovac se toga sjetio i htio mu se odužiti. A Svirčić taj dar sada želi vratiti gradu Splitu.
Pored toga, "Amerikanac s Brodarice" očekuje i darovanje iz ostavštine Pere Zlatara, novinara i publicista kojeg je davno upoznao u Barceloni i s kojim je surađivao i održavao prijateljske odnose. O tome ga je obavijestila Zlatareva rodbina. Zasad još ne zna o kakvom se darovanju radi.


To su samo dva zanimljiva detalja koji na svoj način ilustriraju bogatu zbirku Svirčićevu, čovjeka koji je šezdesetih godina pobjegao iz Jugoslavije. Najprije u Italiju, a potom u SAD (Cliveland), gdje je nakon nekoliko godina dobio i američko državljanstvo.


Na velikim brodovima-hotelima za krstarenje (Weat atar, Oceanic, Atlantic i drugima) oplovio je svijet, radeći na njima kao konobar, a kasnije i kao chef kuhinje.


- Kad sam se iskrcao - pripovijeda bivši pomorac i poznati kuhar, dobio sam posao u hrvatskome veleposlanstvu u Washingtonu kao glavni kuhar i domar, gdje sam redovito susretao poznate ličnosti i državnike, čije fotografije sada rese moju zbirku.


Uza sve to, otkako sam se 2000. godine trajno vratio iz SAD-a u Hrvatsku, zbog niza zapreka nisam uspio ostvariti mirovinu, pa živim dijelom od poljoprivrede i od američke socijalne pomoći, te onoga što zaradim u sezoni najmom parkirališta za četrdeset turističkih automobila.


U svemu, zaključuje Svirčić, radujem se što će se napokon ostvariti moj san u domovini, da ovaj fundus uspomena iz Hrvatske i svijeta dobije dostojno mjesto i bude dostupan javnosti.

Dobro napreduju pripreme da se umjesto muzeja uspomena u Brodarici s više od 7000 eksponata, ranije nazvanog Muzej Vremeplov, ta rijetka zbirka preustroji u hrvatsko-američku Kuću sjećanja, i to u Zagrebu, na čemu radi sedam ljudi iz kruga domaćih stručnjaka i osoba iz američkog veleposlanstva.


Takav oblik zagovara i ravnatelj hrvatskog dokumentacijskog centra Domovinskog rata dr. Ante Nazor, koji bi prihvatio dio zbirke koji se odnosi na prilike u Hrvatskoj od Domovinskog rata i nakon njega.


To smo saznali od Ive Svirčića na Brodarici, koji je dodao da ga je sin čuvenog skladatelja Jakova Gotovca, skladatelj Pero, koji je umro prije dvije godine, obavijestio da mu je njegov otac ostavio original partiture čuvene pjesme "Marjane, Marjane", svojevrsne splitske himne.


I sve to zato što mu je dalekih šezdesetih godina bio od velike pomoći pri popravku automobila koji se pokvario na putu za Split i tamošnji festival koji se upravo održavao. I otac i sin boravili su zbog toga dva dana na Brodarici i potom na vrijeme stigli u grad pod Marjanom.


Pri kraju svojega života, Jakov Gotovac se toga sjetio i htio mu se odužiti. A Svirčić taj dar sada želi vratiti gradu Splitu.
Pored toga, "Amerikanac s Brodarice" očekuje i darovanje iz ostavštine Pere Zlatara, novinara i publicista kojeg je davno upoznao u Barceloni i s kojim je surađivao i održavao prijateljske odnose. O tome ga je obavijestila Zlatareva rodbina. Zasad još ne zna o kakvom se darovanju radi.


To su samo dva zanimljiva detalja koji na svoj način ilustriraju bogatu zbirku Svirčićevu, čovjeka koji je šezdesetih godina pobjegao iz Jugoslavije. Najprije u Italiju, a potom u SAD (Cliveland), gdje je nakon nekoliko godina dobio i američko državljanstvo.


Na velikim brodovima-hotelima za krstarenje (Weat atar, Oceanic, Atlantic i drugima) oplovio je svijet, radeći na njima kao konobar, a kasnije i kao chef kuhinje.


- Kad sam se iskrcao - pripovijeda bivši pomorac i poznati kuhar, dobio sam posao u hrvatskome veleposlanstvu u Washingtonu kao glavni kuhar i domar, gdje sam redovito susretao poznate ličnosti i državnike, čije fotografije sada rese moju zbirku.


Uza sve to, otkako sam se 2000. godine trajno vratio iz SAD-a u Hrvatsku, zbog niza zapreka nisam uspio ostvariti mirovinu, pa živim dijelom od poljoprivrede i od američke socijalne pomoći, te onoga što zaradim u sezoni najmom parkirališta za četrdeset turističkih automobila.


U svemu, zaključuje Svirčić, radujem se što će se napokon ostvariti moj san u domovini, da ovaj fundus uspomena iz Hrvatske i svijeta dobije dostojno mjesto i bude dostupan javnosti.
