Potvrdila nam je to mlada restauratorica Jelena Tomasović iz tvrtke “Neir” koja je s kolegama gotovo svaki radni dan u proteklih sedam mjeseci provela u vlažnoj i hrđom nagriženoj unutrašnjosti čuvenog spomenika.

- S obnovom smo počeli 23. lipnja prošle godine i moram priznati da je bilo posla, jer je spomenik zaista bio u lošem stanju. Poznato je da je kip prvotno bio montiran na Peristilu 1929. godine, a onda su ga 1941. demontirali Talijani nakon okupacije našega grada.

Dijelovi su bili raštrkani na više lokacija po gradu, da bi se ponovno spojili 1954. godine prilikom postavljanja spomenika na današnjoj lokaciji ispred Zlatnih vrata.

Od tada se Grgur nije obnavljao, a kroz njegove pukotine ulazila je voda, pa su željezni vijci korodirali, nakupljao se kamenac - rekla nam je restauratorica, dodajući kako je spomenik sastavljen od 30 komada čiji su spojevi dobrano zahrđali, da su se neki doslovce raspadali na dodir.

U međuvremenu, vijci su zamijenjeni mesinganim spojnicama, a očišćene su i unutarnja i vanjska strana kipa.

- Ostaje nam još nekoliko manjih zahvata i krpanje rupa s broncom, kao i završno premazivanje slojem voska. Vjerujem da će rokovi biti ispoštovani - veli nam Jelena, uz koju su na obnovi radile njezine kolegice Ela Mrduljaš Kutlača i Jelena Fuštar, kao i Valentina Ljubić Tobisch iz Tehničkog muzeja u Beču, te prof. Filip Rogošić s Umjetničke akademije iz Splita, stručnjak za restauraciju metala, koji je na praksu vodio i studente, što im je bila jedinstvena prilika s obzirom na specifičnost samog spomenika.

Restauracija Grgura Ninskog iznosi gotovo 670.000 kuna, a obavlja se uz sufinanciranje Ministarstva kulture.

Potvrdila nam je to mlada restauratorica Jelena Tomasović iz tvrtke “Neir” koja je s kolegama gotovo svaki radni dan u proteklih sedam mjeseci provela u vlažnoj i hrđom nagriženoj unutrašnjosti čuvenog spomenika.

- S obnovom smo počeli 23. lipnja prošle godine i moram priznati da je bilo posla, jer je spomenik zaista bio u lošem stanju. Poznato je da je kip prvotno bio montiran na Peristilu 1929. godine, a onda su ga 1941. demontirali Talijani nakon okupacije našega grada.

Dijelovi su bili raštrkani na više lokacija po gradu, da bi se ponovno spojili 1954. godine prilikom postavljanja spomenika na današnjoj lokaciji ispred Zlatnih vrata.

Od tada se Grgur nije obnavljao, a kroz njegove pukotine ulazila je voda, pa su željezni vijci korodirali, nakupljao se kamenac - rekla nam je restauratorica, dodajući kako je spomenik sastavljen od 30 komada čiji su spojevi dobrano zahrđali, da su se neki doslovce raspadali na dodir.

U međuvremenu, vijci su zamijenjeni mesinganim spojnicama, a očišćene su i unutarnja i vanjska strana kipa.

- Ostaje nam još nekoliko manjih zahvata i krpanje rupa s broncom, kao i završno premazivanje slojem voska. Vjerujem da će rokovi biti ispoštovani - veli nam Jelena, uz koju su na obnovi radile njezine kolegice Ela Mrduljaš Kutlača i Jelena Fuštar, kao i Valentina Ljubić Tobisch iz Tehničkog muzeja u Beču, te prof. Filip Rogošić s Umjetničke akademije iz Splita, stručnjak za restauraciju metala, koji je na praksu vodio i studente, što im je bila jedinstvena prilika s obzirom na specifičnost samog spomenika.

Restauracija Grgura Ninskog iznosi gotovo 670.000 kuna, a obavlja se uz sufinanciranje Ministarstva kulture.

Grgur će zasjati za mjesec dana
