Anketa na portalu Slobodne Dalmacije za svega nekoliko sati pokazala je da su čitatelji zainteresirani za ideju splitsko-dalmatinskog župana da se aerodromu u Resniku dade ime svetog Jere, no ne i da im se sviđa. Čak 66 posto među brojnima koji su sudjelovali izjasnilo se protiv, 25 posto su za taj prijedlog, a 9 posto kaže da im je svejedno.

Anketa je anonimna, a pitali smo nekoliko ljudi iz javnog života grada što oni misle.

Dr. Joško Belamarić, povijesničar umjetnosti:

- Ne znam da li je potrebno davati imena aerodromima, možda u turističkim mjestima. Venecija ima "Marco Polo", Rim "Leonardo da Vinci", negdje časte političare, "Charles de Gaulle", ali nije to baš običaj. A kad je riječ o svecima, meni se čini da je to još teže naći.

Ja sam Šibenčanin i ako treba nadjevati ime splitskom aerodromu onda bi Faust Vrančić to zaslužio, kao u Dubrovniku Ruđer Bošković, aerodromi su velike tehnološke cjeline vezane za inžinjerstvo. A Vrančić, kao nulta točka povijesti znanosti u nas, sa svojim padobranom, "machine novae", "homo volans", sa izumima, inžinjerijom... svakako bi ga se isplatilo počastiti.

Potpuno mi je jasan prijedlog o svetom Jeri, mislim da mi trebamo sve učiniti da ga "usidrimo" u ovaj prostor. Trebamo ga vratiti u svijest sa prijevodima, knjigama i izložbama, sve ono što treba i što on zaslužuje, ali ako treba ime aerodromu – logičnije mi je da se zove po Faustu Vrančiću.

- Drago mi je! On je zaštitnik Dalmacije, bio je vrhunski čovjek, skroman, intelektualac, a okružen ženama. Svima nam na ponos, bolje da ga brendiramo kao Dalmatinca nego Slovenci kao svoga. Lani je bila i proslava 1600 godina njegove smrti. Ipak, sve velike aerodrome po svijetu, kako god se zvali, "Kennedy" ili "De Gaulle", ljudi zovu po nazivu grada u kojemu su – njujorški ili pariški. Ali, zašto ne?

Andro Krstulović Opara, gradonačelnik Splita:

- Mislim da je to jedna lijepa i dobra ideja. Iskreno, kad sam bio ravnatelj Muzeja Ivana Meštrovića pitao sam njegova sina bi li imao nešto protiv da se zračna luka u Splitu nazove imenom jedinog našeg umjetnika koji ima svjetski značaj. Tada sam organizirao izložbu o njemu u Parizu. On se složio, uputio sam inicijativu na nekoliko adresa, čak i ravnatelju zračne luke, no nije bilo odjeka.

Bilo je još inicijativa, iz Šibenika, da ga se nazove imenom Fausta Vrančića, ni ona nije prošla. Ali ova bi mogla proći jer je nedvojbena.

Sveti Jere je jedna od najznačajnijih osoba rođenih u Dalmaciji, splitska je najveća dalmatinska zračna luka, prepoznaljiva i međunarodno. Mislim da bi mogao biti dobar prijedlog. Ako mi kao predstavniku suvlasnika dođe na stol ja ću je podržati. Ja sam voljan mijenjati mišljenje, iako je moja inicijativa bila "Ivan Meštrović".

Kad pogledate nama blisku Italiju, zračne luke su posvećene međunarodno poznatim umjetnicima, Raffaellu Santiju, Leonardu da Vinciju, ljudima koji su obilježili svjetsku umjetnost i kojima se Talijani ponose. Kao ravnatelj sam obišao mnoge gradove i Meštrović je najpoznatije ime nekog Hrvata u svijetu. Smatrao sam i da bi dubrovačka mogla uzeti ime znanstvenika Ruđera Boškovića koji ima svjetsku reputaciju.

Ja sam svojevremeno premijeru Plenkoviću prije predsjedanja EU predlagao da jače naglasi godinu svetog Jeronima, čovjeka koji je napravio prekretnicu pisane riječi zapadnoevropske civilizacije. Ta je obljetnička prigoda zbog korone propuštena ali ne treba propustiti sjetiti se toga velikana na kojega možemo biti ponosni u narednim godinama. Ako je imenovanje aerodroma jedan od tih koraka, ja u svakom slučaju to podržavam.

- Iznimno se radujem borbi okolnih regija, čak i država za status 'Jeronimove kolijevke', ovo malo podsjeća na raspravu o Teslinom porijeklu i domovini. To govori kako je sveti Jeronim univerzalna i iznimno vrijedna povijesna osoba, znanstvenik i jedan od mudraca ranog kršćanstva čija je karizma do danas neokaljana prašinom vremena. Dakako, krivo mi je što mudra 'Britannica' izrijekom navodi pretpostavku o njegovu rođenju pored Ljubljane, bilo bi dovoljno da piše Dalmacija, pa dokud ona u antici sezala. Jeronim svakakako nije bio ni Slovenac, ni Hrvat, bio je rimski građanin i sasvim sigurno Dalmatinac, takvim ga smatra sva povijest. A baštinici Dalmacije i svega dalmatinskog smo, srećom, baš mi, pa tako možemo biti i negovi 'fanovi'.

Na brendiranje ustanova, institucija i javnih sadržaja njegovim imenom imamo puno pravo, tako se to radi posvuda. Pa neka nam Bog oprosti što smo Dalmatinci i ne znamo drugačije.

Anketa na portalu Slobodne Dalmacije za svega nekoliko sati pokazala je da su čitatelji zainteresirani za ideju splitsko-dalmatinskog župana da se aerodromu u Resniku dade ime svetog Jere, no ne i da im se sviđa. Čak 66 posto među brojnima koji su sudjelovali izjasnilo se protiv, 25 posto su za taj prijedlog, a 9 posto kaže da im je svejedno.

Anketa je anonimna, a pitali smo nekoliko ljudi iz javnog života grada što oni misle.

Dr. Joško Belamarić, povijesničar umjetnosti:

- Ne znam da li je potrebno davati imena aerodromima, možda u turističkim mjestima. Venecija ima "Marco Polo", Rim "Leonardo da Vinci", negdje časte političare, "Charles de Gaulle", ali nije to baš običaj. A kad je riječ o svecima, meni se čini da je to još teže naći.

Ja sam Šibenčanin i ako treba nadjevati ime splitskom aerodromu onda bi Faust Vrančić to zaslužio, kao u Dubrovniku Ruđer Bošković, aerodromi su velike tehnološke cjeline vezane za inžinjerstvo. A Vrančić, kao nulta točka povijesti znanosti u nas, sa svojim padobranom, "machine novae", "homo volans", sa izumima, inžinjerijom... svakako bi ga se isplatilo počastiti.

Potpuno mi je jasan prijedlog o svetom Jeri, mislim da mi trebamo sve učiniti da ga "usidrimo" u ovaj prostor. Trebamo ga vratiti u svijest sa prijevodima, knjigama i izložbama, sve ono što treba i što on zaslužuje, ali ako treba ime aerodromu – logičnije mi je da se zove po Faustu Vrančiću.

- Drago mi je! On je zaštitnik Dalmacije, bio je vrhunski čovjek, skroman, intelektualac, a okružen ženama. Svima nam na ponos, bolje da ga brendiramo kao Dalmatinca nego Slovenci kao svoga. Lani je bila i proslava 1600 godina njegove smrti. Ipak, sve velike aerodrome po svijetu, kako god se zvali, "Kennedy" ili "De Gaulle", ljudi zovu po nazivu grada u kojemu su – njujorški ili pariški. Ali, zašto ne?

Andro Krstulović Opara, gradonačelnik Splita:

- Mislim da je to jedna lijepa i dobra ideja. Iskreno, kad sam bio ravnatelj Muzeja Ivana Meštrovića pitao sam njegova sina bi li imao nešto protiv da se zračna luka u Splitu nazove imenom jedinog našeg umjetnika koji ima svjetski značaj. Tada sam organizirao izložbu o njemu u Parizu. On se složio, uputio sam inicijativu na nekoliko adresa, čak i ravnatelju zračne luke, no nije bilo odjeka.

Bilo je još inicijativa, iz Šibenika, da ga se nazove imenom Fausta Vrančića, ni ona nije prošla. Ali ova bi mogla proći jer je nedvojbena.

Sveti Jere je jedna od najznačajnijih osoba rođenih u Dalmaciji, splitska je najveća dalmatinska zračna luka, prepoznaljiva i međunarodno. Mislim da bi mogao biti dobar prijedlog. Ako mi kao predstavniku suvlasnika dođe na stol ja ću je podržati. Ja sam voljan mijenjati mišljenje, iako je moja inicijativa bila "Ivan Meštrović".

Kad pogledate nama blisku Italiju, zračne luke su posvećene međunarodno poznatim umjetnicima, Raffaellu Santiju, Leonardu da Vinciju, ljudima koji su obilježili svjetsku umjetnost i kojima se Talijani ponose. Kao ravnatelj sam obišao mnoge gradove i Meštrović je najpoznatije ime nekog Hrvata u svijetu. Smatrao sam i da bi dubrovačka mogla uzeti ime znanstvenika Ruđera Boškovića koji ima svjetsku reputaciju.

Ja sam svojevremeno premijeru Plenkoviću prije predsjedanja EU predlagao da jače naglasi godinu svetog Jeronima, čovjeka koji je napravio prekretnicu pisane riječi zapadnoevropske civilizacije. Ta je obljetnička prigoda zbog korone propuštena ali ne treba propustiti sjetiti se toga velikana na kojega možemo biti ponosni u narednim godinama. Ako je imenovanje aerodroma jedan od tih koraka, ja u svakom slučaju to podržavam.

- Iznimno se radujem borbi okolnih regija, čak i država za status 'Jeronimove kolijevke', ovo malo podsjeća na raspravu o Teslinom porijeklu i domovini. To govori kako je sveti Jeronim univerzalna i iznimno vrijedna povijesna osoba, znanstvenik i jedan od mudraca ranog kršćanstva čija je karizma do danas neokaljana prašinom vremena. Dakako, krivo mi je što mudra 'Britannica' izrijekom navodi pretpostavku o njegovu rođenju pored Ljubljane, bilo bi dovoljno da piše Dalmacija, pa dokud ona u antici sezala. Jeronim svakakako nije bio ni Slovenac, ni Hrvat, bio je rimski građanin i sasvim sigurno Dalmatinac, takvim ga smatra sva povijest. A baštinici Dalmacije i svega dalmatinskog smo, srećom, baš mi, pa tako možemo biti i negovi 'fanovi'.

Na brendiranje ustanova, institucija i javnih sadržaja njegovim imenom imamo puno pravo, tako se to radi posvuda. Pa neka nam Bog oprosti što smo Dalmatinci i ne znamo drugačije.

Evo što su o želji župana Bobana da se aerodrom nazove po Sv. Jeri rekli poznati Splićani: ime se nekima sviđa, a drugi imaju zanimljiv prijedlog

Anketa na portalu Slobodne Dalmacije za svega nekoliko sati pokazala je da su čitatelji zainteresirani za ideju splitsko-dalmatinskog župana da se aerodromu u Resniku dade ime svetog Jere, no ne i da im se sviđa. Čak 66 posto među brojnima koji su sudjelovali izjasnilo se protiv, 25 posto su za taj prijedlog, a 9 posto kaže da im je svejedno.

Anketa je anonimna, a pitali smo nekoliko ljudi iz javnog života grada što oni misle.

Dr. Joško Belamarić, povijesničar umjetnosti:

- Ne znam da li je potrebno davati imena aerodromima, možda u turističkim mjestima. Venecija ima "Marco Polo", Rim "Leonardo da Vinci", negdje časte političare, "Charles de Gaulle", ali nije to baš običaj. A kad je riječ o svecima, meni se čini da je to još teže naći.
