Partija je stari Jelaska. Rečenica je to koja se danas repetira po Splitu, a da ama baš nitko ne pita o kojem se, zapravo, pokojniku radi. Jer, Ante Jelaska, premda u poznim godinama života, nije se predavao; i svugdje ga je bilo, i svi su ga znali. I zato je samo jedan bio "stari Jelaska". Onaj koji se pojavljivao bilo kada i gdje god je trebalo braniti antifašizam i njegove stečevine, što je barba Ante radio srčanije od ikoga. Drug Ante, a zapravo gospodin, šjor Jelaska, bio je izdanak građanskog, kulturnog, otmjenog Splita, grada koji su voljeli i poštovali ne samo Splićani, nego i svi ostali. I zato će ga se dugo pamtiti. I onaj Split kakav je Jelaska predstavljao, i Antu Jelasku kao njegovog protagonista i najodanijeg borca.

Ranih devedesetih, kad su mnogima, zamantani žarom nacionalne ognjice, partizani postali "bad guys", Jelaska ih je srčano branio. I to na svakom koraku: najžešće, najustrajnije i najhrabrije od svih. Vratne bi mu žile nabrekle kad bi čuo nešto što nije odgovaralo istini i bacalo ljagu na pale borce, mladost koja je izginula za slobodu njegovog i našeg Splita, Dalmacije i Hrvatske. I Jugoslavije; dakako, jer Jelaska se suprotstavljao falsifikatima i onima koji su htjeli pisati povijest od devedeset i prve, preskačući sve ono prije kao nebitno ili još gore - nevaljano. Jelaska ih je stalno podsjećao da nije tako, nije im dao mira, pa su ga vremenom i najžešći oponenti s krajnje desnice, koji su ga u početku strašno vrijeđali zazivajući mu i smrt, počeli uvažavati, čak ga i pozdravljati s poštovanjem. Uvažavati kao neistomišljenika.

A, da je te i takve Jelaska u svakom smislu pobijedio, svjedoče i godine u kojima nas je napustio. Sa svojih devedeset i šest, koliko će mu stajati na grobnom mjestu, ispada da je mnoge žestoke nacionaliste i šoviniste nadživio, dokazavši im koliko je u njega bila vrela ta slobodarska krv kojom su ga partizani napojili.               

Uvijek elegantno odjeven, sa šeširom na glavi, umirovljeni kazališni redatelj plijenio je svojom gordom pojavom. Najviše će mlađima ostati u pamćenju kad je drhtavom rukom na štandarac na Pjaci upisao najveći datum u povijesti Splita, a koji je, zločest netko, namjerno preskočio - 26. 10. 1944. "Oslobođen je Split - ponos hrvatske Dalmacije", naslov je iz "Slobodne" na koji je šjor Ante podsjećao u svakom svom javnom istupu, a bilo ih je zaista mnogo.

Bilo da je vrlo vješto i argumentirano iznosio činjenice iz NOB-a, bilo da je polemizirao s drugima preko novina, televizije ili uživo. Kao mlad novinar, imao sam čast sučeliti se s Jelaskom na te teme pa me nazvao "mladim pivčićem", aludirajući na žestinu kojom sam branio svoje stavove, što mi je bilo jako simpatično, a i njemu je, shvatio sam, bilo drago što je u meni osjetio revolucionarni plam kakav ga je nosio u mladosti. Zato sam ga rado ugošćavao u svojoj emisiji na Kanalu 5, gdje je vremešni Jelaska branio antifašizam i ljevicu kao da je mladi skojevac, a s druge strane stola parirao mu je ljuti pravaš Luka Podrug.  

Ante Jelaska, kazališni redatelj i publicist, rodio se u Splitu 20. 7. 1925. godine. Školovao se u Zemaljskoj glumačkoj školi u Zagrebu. Bio je član HNK u Splitu, gdje je radio do umirovljenja 1988. godine. Postavio je sljedeća djela P. Budaka (Mećava), M. Ogrizovića (Hasanaginica), C. Goldonija (Ribarske svađe), N. V. Gogolja (Ženidba), P. Kanavelića (Šimun Dundurilo), M. Matkovića (Heraklo), I. Brešana (Predstava Hamleta u selu Mrduša Donja), M. Smoje (Ča je pusta Londra…), M. Uvodića (Libar Marka Uvodića Splićanina), I. Tijardovića (Mala Floramye). Režirao je i na Splitskom ljetu. Objavljivao je tekstove o dramaturgiji, slikarstvu i pjesništvu. Godine 2019. dobio je Nagradu Grada Splita za životno djelo.

Partija je stari Jelaska. Rečenica je to koja se danas repetira po Splitu, a da ama baš nitko ne pita o kojem se, zapravo, pokojniku radi. Jer, Ante Jelaska, premda u poznim godinama života, nije se predavao; i svugdje ga je bilo, i svi su ga znali. I zato je samo jedan bio "stari Jelaska". Onaj koji se pojavljivao bilo kada i gdje god je trebalo braniti antifašizam i njegove stečevine, što je barba Ante radio srčanije od ikoga. Drug Ante, a zapravo gospodin, šjor Jelaska, bio je izdanak građanskog, kulturnog, otmjenog Splita, grada koji su voljeli i poštovali ne samo Splićani, nego i svi ostali. I zato će ga se dugo pamtiti. I onaj Split kakav je Jelaska predstavljao, i Antu Jelasku kao njegovog protagonista i najodanijeg borca.

Ranih devedesetih, kad su mnogima, zamantani žarom nacionalne ognjice, partizani postali "bad guys", Jelaska ih je srčano branio. I to na svakom koraku: najžešće, najustrajnije i najhrabrije od svih. Vratne bi mu žile nabrekle kad bi čuo nešto što nije odgovaralo istini i bacalo ljagu na pale borce, mladost koja je izginula za slobodu njegovog i našeg Splita, Dalmacije i Hrvatske. I Jugoslavije; dakako, jer Jelaska se suprotstavljao falsifikatima i onima koji su htjeli pisati povijest od devedeset i prve, preskačući sve ono prije kao nebitno ili još gore - nevaljano. Jelaska ih je stalno podsjećao da nije tako, nije im dao mira, pa su ga vremenom i najžešći oponenti s krajnje desnice, koji su ga u početku strašno vrijeđali zazivajući mu i smrt, počeli uvažavati, čak ga i pozdravljati s poštovanjem. Uvažavati kao neistomišljenika.

A, da je te i takve Jelaska u svakom smislu pobijedio, svjedoče i godine u kojima nas je napustio. Sa svojih devedeset i šest, koliko će mu stajati na grobnom mjestu, ispada da je mnoge žestoke nacionaliste i šoviniste nadživio, dokazavši im koliko je u njega bila vrela ta slobodarska krv kojom su ga partizani napojili.               

Uvijek elegantno odjeven, sa šeširom na glavi, umirovljeni kazališni redatelj plijenio je svojom gordom pojavom. Najviše će mlađima ostati u pamćenju kad je drhtavom rukom na štandarac na Pjaci upisao najveći datum u povijesti Splita, a koji je, zločest netko, namjerno preskočio - 26. 10. 1944. "Oslobođen je Split - ponos hrvatske Dalmacije", naslov je iz "Slobodne" na koji je šjor Ante podsjećao u svakom svom javnom istupu, a bilo ih je zaista mnogo.

Bilo da je vrlo vješto i argumentirano iznosio činjenice iz NOB-a, bilo da je polemizirao s drugima preko novina, televizije ili uživo. Kao mlad novinar, imao sam čast sučeliti se s Jelaskom na te teme pa me nazvao "mladim pivčićem", aludirajući na žestinu kojom sam branio svoje stavove, što mi je bilo jako simpatično, a i njemu je, shvatio sam, bilo drago što je u meni osjetio revolucionarni plam kakav ga je nosio u mladosti. Zato sam ga rado ugošćavao u svojoj emisiji na Kanalu 5, gdje je vremešni Jelaska branio antifašizam i ljevicu kao da je mladi skojevac, a s druge strane stola parirao mu je ljuti pravaš Luka Podrug.  

Ante Jelaska, kazališni redatelj i publicist, rodio se u Splitu 20. 7. 1925. godine. Školovao se u Zemaljskoj glumačkoj školi u Zagrebu. Bio je član HNK u Splitu, gdje je radio do umirovljenja 1988. godine. Postavio je sljedeća djela P. Budaka (Mećava), M. Ogrizovića (Hasanaginica), C. Goldonija (Ribarske svađe), N. V. Gogolja (Ženidba), P. Kanavelića (Šimun Dundurilo), M. Matkovića (Heraklo), I. Brešana (Predstava Hamleta u selu Mrduša Donja), M. Smoje (Ča je pusta Londra…), M. Uvodića (Libar Marka Uvodića Splićanina), I. Tijardovića (Mala Floramye). Režirao je i na Splitskom ljetu. Objavljivao je tekstove o dramaturgiji, slikarstvu i pjesništvu. Godine 2019. dobio je Nagradu Grada Splita za životno djelo.

Druže Ante, cijenjeni šjor Jelaska, neka Vam je laka spli'ska zemja. Počivali u miru!

Partija je stari Jelaska. Rečenica je to koja se danas repetira po Splitu, a da ama baš nitko ne pita o kojem se, zapravo, pokojniku radi. Jer, Ante Jelaska, premda u poznim godinama života, nije se predavao; i svugdje ga je bilo, i svi su ga znali. I zato je samo jedan bio "stari Jelaska". Onaj koji se pojavljivao bilo kada i gdje god je trebalo braniti antifašizam i njegove stečevine, što je barba Ante radio srčanije od ikoga. Drug Ante, a zapravo gospodin, šjor Jelaska, bio je izdanak građanskog, kulturnog, otmjenog Splita, grada koji su voljeli i poštovali ne samo Splićani, nego i svi ostali. I zato će ga se dugo pamtiti. I onaj Split kakav je Jelaska predstavljao, i Antu Jelasku kao njegovog protagonista i najodanijeg borca.
