Čuo sam nedavno da je međunarodno priznati slovenski arhitekt Boris Podrecca, autor obnovljenog Đardina, šokiran što mu skejteri godinama uništavaju ulazni zid u perivoj. Prije dvije godine su iz Banovine obećali zamijeniti ploče, ali nisu napravili ništa. Tridesetak ploča je napuklo. Tamo gdje ih par nedostaje, ogolio se beton i crijevo proviruje.
I to baš nasuprot obnovljenom Grguru i Zlatnim vratima s kojih su konačno skinute skele. Kad se turisti uspnu na Tomislavovu ulicu, čini im se da su došli u neki siromašan grad koji nije u stanju svoju jezgru dostojno komunalno opremiti.
Možda političari misle da je oportuno dopustiti devastaciju zida i kamene rampe Đardina jer tako podilaze novim aktivnostima za mlade. Ali, skejterska supkultura i nije toliko nova. Sjećam se kad sam imao desetak godina da su se pojavili skateboardi, a to je bilo pred četrdesetak godina.
Dosta su koštali, ali glavni problem je bio što ih je teško bilo nabaviti. Otac mi se tada sjetio da će kod meštra u firmi gdje je radio srediti stvar. Na kraju sam dobio nekakav mini karet, samo što nije imao timun ni balinjere. Nisam to htio nositi vani kao skejt, da se poštedim bruke.
Uglavnom, ovo s Đardinom mi izgleda kao da odrasli i ovaj put na krivi način misle da razumiju što mladima treba. U smislu: “Bolje neka i tu skaču, nego da se bodu iglama.” Nema smisla niti objašnjavati koliko je takav stav pogrešan, jer pružiti priliku (sub)kulturi mladih ne bi smjelo za posljedicu imati uništavanje gradske imovine.
Jeste li vidjeli od Paga do Dubrovnika sličan slučaj da se tolerira oštećivanje javnog prostora u povijesnoj jezgri?
U situaciji kad smo došli u podanički odnos prema turizmu, koji postaje naša monokultura, čak je i simpatično vidjeti da mladi pokazuju kako nisu ušli u taj žrvanj. Ali, ovdje se radi o vandalizmu. Ako skate park na Žnjanu nije dovoljan, treba urediti još jedan.

Čuo sam nedavno da je međunarodno priznati slovenski arhitekt Boris Podrecca, autor obnovljenog Đardina, šokiran što mu skejteri godinama uništavaju ulazni zid u perivoj. Prije dvije godine su iz Banovine obećali zamijeniti ploče, ali nisu napravili ništa. Tridesetak ploča je napuklo. Tamo gdje ih par nedostaje, ogolio se beton i crijevo proviruje.
I to baš nasuprot obnovljenom Grguru i Zlatnim vratima s kojih su konačno skinute skele. Kad se turisti uspnu na Tomislavovu ulicu, čini im se da su došli u neki siromašan grad koji nije u stanju svoju jezgru dostojno komunalno opremiti.
Možda političari misle da je oportuno dopustiti devastaciju zida i kamene rampe Đardina jer tako podilaze novim aktivnostima za mlade. Ali, skejterska supkultura i nije toliko nova. Sjećam se kad sam imao desetak godina da su se pojavili skateboardi, a to je bilo pred četrdesetak godina.
Dosta su koštali, ali glavni problem je bio što ih je teško bilo nabaviti. Otac mi se tada sjetio da će kod meštra u firmi gdje je radio srediti stvar. Na kraju sam dobio nekakav mini karet, samo što nije imao timun ni balinjere. Nisam to htio nositi vani kao skejt, da se poštedim bruke.
Uglavnom, ovo s Đardinom mi izgleda kao da odrasli i ovaj put na krivi način misle da razumiju što mladima treba. U smislu: “Bolje neka i tu skaču, nego da se bodu iglama.” Nema smisla niti objašnjavati koliko je takav stav pogrešan, jer pružiti priliku (sub)kulturi mladih ne bi smjelo za posljedicu imati uništavanje gradske imovine.
Jeste li vidjeli od Paga do Dubrovnika sličan slučaj da se tolerira oštećivanje javnog prostora u povijesnoj jezgri?
U situaciji kad smo došli u podanički odnos prema turizmu, koji postaje naša monokultura, čak je i simpatično vidjeti da mladi pokazuju kako nisu ušli u taj žrvanj. Ali, ovdje se radi o vandalizmu. Ako skate park na Žnjanu nije dovoljan, treba urediti još jedan.
