Mnogi jedva čekaju dolazak Toyote FT-86 na tržište, ali isto tako, za mnoge je uzbudljiviji dolazak Subaruove verzije kupea. Doduše, Toyotin pulen ima sve ono što treba, pogon na zadnje kotače, malu masu, 200 KS i nisku cijenu.
Za očekivati je da će Subaruova verzija imati pogon na sve kotače, što će isključiti bijeg “repa” pri vožnji na klizavim podlogama. Međutim, Subaruova zvijezda će, po svemu sudeći, raspolagati s 250 KS, što je, ako ništa drugo, više od 200. Motor je novi 2,0-litarski (vjerojatno atmosferski) boxer, kao onaj u FT-86.
S obzirom na to da je najmanji motor koji Subaru trenutačno nudi američkim kupcima 2,5-litarski boxer, koji u turbo WRX verziji isporučuje 265 KS, postavlja se pitanje zašto bi Subaru stavljao manji i slabiji motor u kupe od 30.000 dolara, u odnosu na WRX koji košta 25.000 dolara?
Ipak, treba sačekati službena izvješća, jer će Subaruova verzija biti veća od Toyotine, budući da leži na “izduženoj” platformi.

Mnogi jedva čekaju dolazak Toyote FT-86 na tržište, ali isto tako, za mnoge je uzbudljiviji dolazak Subaruove verzije kupea. Doduše, Toyotin pulen ima sve ono što treba, pogon na zadnje kotače, malu masu, 200 KS i nisku cijenu.
Za očekivati je da će Subaruova verzija imati pogon na sve kotače, što će isključiti bijeg “repa” pri vožnji na klizavim podlogama. Međutim, Subaruova zvijezda će, po svemu sudeći, raspolagati s 250 KS, što je, ako ništa drugo, više od 200. Motor je novi 2,0-litarski (vjerojatno atmosferski) boxer, kao onaj u FT-86.
S obzirom na to da je najmanji motor koji Subaru trenutačno nudi američkim kupcima 2,5-litarski boxer, koji u turbo WRX verziji isporučuje 265 KS, postavlja se pitanje zašto bi Subaru stavljao manji i slabiji motor u kupe od 30.000 dolara, u odnosu na WRX koji košta 25.000 dolara?
Ipak, treba sačekati službena izvješća, jer će Subaruova verzija biti veća od Toyotine, budući da leži na “izduženoj” platformi.
