Na iznenadnu smrt 16-godišnjeg sina Johna Travolte pala je ružna sjena - pojavile su se sumnje da Jett nije bolovao od Kawasaki sindroma, nego od autizma, kojeg je njegov otac uporno negirao, pa je nesretnik preminuo zato što nije primao odgovarajuću liječničku terapiju.

Autizam se, naime, nalazi na popisu bolesti koje scijentologija, čiji je Travolta zagriženi sljedbenik, uopće ne priznaje, pa stoga brani njeno liječenje, kao što ne dopušta liječenje drugih psihičkih poremećaja.

U prilog tezi da je Jett bio autističan ide podatak da mladić, kako pišu neki mediji, gotovo uopće nije govorio, premda je fizički bio sposoban za to, te da je bio jako povučen.

Nadalje, napad od kojeg je nenadano preminuo jedan je od simptoma upravo te bolesti. Kod oboljelih od Kawasaki sindroma, pak, napadi  do sada nisu zabilježeni.

Vjeruje se kako je nesretni tinejdžer tek jedna od više tisuća mentalno oboljelih pripadnika scijentološke crkve koji je umro jer zbog pravila te vjere nije primao potrebnu terapiju.

Na iznenadnu smrt 16-godišnjeg sina Johna Travolte pala je ružna sjena - pojavile su se sumnje da Jett nije bolovao od Kawasaki sindroma, nego od autizma, kojeg je njegov otac uporno negirao, pa je nesretnik preminuo zato što nije primao odgovarajuću liječničku terapiju.

Autizam se, naime, nalazi na popisu bolesti koje scijentologija, čiji je Travolta zagriženi sljedbenik, uopće ne priznaje, pa stoga brani njeno liječenje, kao što ne dopušta liječenje drugih psihičkih poremećaja.

U prilog tezi da je Jett bio autističan ide podatak da mladić, kako pišu neki mediji, gotovo uopće nije govorio, premda je fizički bio sposoban za to, te da je bio jako povučen.

Nadalje, napad od kojeg je nenadano preminuo jedan je od simptoma upravo te bolesti. Kod oboljelih od Kawasaki sindroma, pak, napadi  do sada nisu zabilježeni.

Vjeruje se kako je nesretni tinejdžer tek jedna od više tisuća mentalno oboljelih pripadnika scijentološke crkve koji je umro jer zbog pravila te vjere nije primao potrebnu terapiju.
