R. Lee Ermey, narednik koji je postao glumac i ostao zapamćen po ulozi instruktora Hartmana u filmu 'Full Metal Jacket' Stanleyja Kubricka, umro je u nedjelju sa 74 godine, od komplikacija prouzročenih upalom pluća.

Bivši marinac rođen je u Kansasu 1944. i prijavio se u vojsku 1961., te je u vrijeme Vjetnamskog rata doista bio vojni instruktor. U Vijetnamu je ratovao 14 mjeseci. Stožerni narednik Ermey dobio je liječnički otpust iz vojske 1972. i zatim se upisao na studij na Filipinima, upravo gdje je Francis Ford Coppola snimao 'Apokalipsu' (Apocalypse Now).

Na tom je filmu Ermey radio u ulozi konzultanta i tehničkog savjetnika, ali je odglumio i ulogu pilota helikoptera. Na isti način se pojavio i u 'Full Metal Jacketu': isprva je bio angažiran kao savjetnik, ali kako Kubrick nije našao pravog glumca za ulogu narednika Hartmana, bivši marinac Ermey javio se na audiciju.

Ostvario je i karijeru u davanju glasa u animiranim filmovima 'Toy Story' bio je mali zeleni vojnik Sarge, glumio je generala Kramera u filmu 'Toy Soldiers', bio je major Tilman u 'Mississippi Burning', trener i suosnivač Nike-a Bill Bowerman u 'Prefontaine'... Ukupno više od 60 uloga.

Sukladno njegovom vojničkom habitusu, nije nikakvo iznenađenje da je bio u upravnom odboru National Rifle Association, te glasnogovornik Glocka.

R. Lee Ermey, narednik koji je postao glumac i ostao zapamćen po ulozi instruktora Hartmana u filmu 'Full Metal Jacket' Stanleyja Kubricka, umro je u nedjelju sa 74 godine, od komplikacija prouzročenih upalom pluća.

Bivši marinac rođen je u Kansasu 1944. i prijavio se u vojsku 1961., te je u vrijeme Vjetnamskog rata doista bio vojni instruktor. U Vijetnamu je ratovao 14 mjeseci. Stožerni narednik Ermey dobio je liječnički otpust iz vojske 1972. i zatim se upisao na studij na Filipinima, upravo gdje je Francis Ford Coppola snimao 'Apokalipsu' (Apocalypse Now).

Na tom je filmu Ermey radio u ulozi konzultanta i tehničkog savjetnika, ali je odglumio i ulogu pilota helikoptera. Na isti način se pojavio i u 'Full Metal Jacketu': isprva je bio angažiran kao savjetnik, ali kako Kubrick nije našao pravog glumca za ulogu narednika Hartmana, bivši marinac Ermey javio se na audiciju.

Ostvario je i karijeru u davanju glasa u animiranim filmovima 'Toy Story' bio je mali zeleni vojnik Sarge, glumio je generala Kramera u filmu 'Toy Soldiers', bio je major Tilman u 'Mississippi Burning', trener i suosnivač Nike-a Bill Bowerman u 'Prefontaine'... Ukupno više od 60 uloga.

Sukladno njegovom vojničkom habitusu, nije nikakvo iznenađenje da je bio u upravnom odboru National Rifle Association, te glasnogovornik Glocka.
