Iako je u medijima već progovarao o svojoj seksualnosti, Duncan James nikad prije nije izričito potvrdio da je zaljubljen i sretan, u vezi s muškarcem. Sve do svoje posljednje objave na Instagramu.
"Ponosan sam što sam gej", komentirala je britanska zvijezda otvoreno, uz fotografiju koja ga prikazuje s dečkom, sretne i zagrljene po prvi put javno.
Vijest je ekspresno obišla britanske medije. Prezgodni Duncan, idol tinejdžerica i tinejdžera zaluđenih nekad popularnom grupom "Blue", oduvijek je, piše Sun, i sam dovodio u pitanje svoju seksualnost, no nije se "deklarirao". Početkom 2000-ih, na vrhuncu popularnosti pop petorke, predstavljao je stoga u javnosti enigmu, naročito zato što je glasio za "lomitelja ženskih srdaca" i "notornog ženkara".
No koliko je zbog skrivanja patio u prošlosti, otkrio je pjevač ranije za Evening Standard. Prepričao je situaciju u kojoj je kolegama iz benda priznao da ga privlače muškarci.
"Napao sam mini bar, napio se i pokucao mu na vrata (Simonu Webbeu iz benda "Blue"). Ridao sam, uplakan sjeo i rekao: Sjećaš se mog prijatelja Petea? Zaljubljen sam u njega. On je moj tajni dečko.
On mi je odgovorio: Ti si gej? Mislio sam da ćeš mi reći da imaš rak...", prepričao je James.
No nakon godina skrivanja, veza sa ženama i tajnih druženja s muškarcima, posljednja je objava na njegovu Instagramu odjeknula kao bomba - pjevač je sretan i zaljubljen, a svoju sreću ne krije. 41-godišnjak je u vezi s Brazilcem Rodrigom Reisom s kojim je i pozirao zagrljen na fotografiji.
"Godinama se nisam identificirao kao gej muškarac zbog vlastitih problema kad je u pitanju bilo "izlaženje iz ormara", ali konačno sam zadovoljan u svojoj koži i zbog ovog muškarca pored mene sretan sam što sam gej. Predivna si osoba, izvana i iznutra i hvala ti što si stavio osmijeh na moje lice", napisao je James.
Duncan James 2009. izjavio je da je "biseksualac", 2012. da je "gej", no nikada se do ovoga trenutka nije u javnosti pokazao s dečkom. Dapače, na brojne je javne događaje dolazio u ženkome društvu, pridodajući i to "pritiscima javnosti" i imidžu koji je htio stvoriti.
Oglasio se nedugo nakon objave kako bi zahvalio svima na podršci. Jedan od komentara na njegovu Instagramu glasi:
"Ljubav je ljubav! Bez obzira na spol, boju kože i religiju. Kad ju pronađete, slavite ju!".

"Ponosan sam što sam gej", komentirala je britanska zvijezda otvoreno, uz fotografiju koja ga prikazuje s dečkom, sretne i zagrljene po prvi put javno.
Vijest je ekspresno obišla britanske medije. Prezgodni Duncan, idol tinejdžerica i tinejdžera zaluđenih nekad popularnom grupom "Blue", oduvijek je, piše Sun, i sam dovodio u pitanje svoju seksualnost, no nije se "deklarirao". Početkom 2000-ih, na vrhuncu popularnosti pop petorke, predstavljao je stoga u javnosti enigmu, naročito zato što je glasio za "lomitelja ženskih srdaca" i "notornog ženkara".
No koliko je zbog skrivanja patio u prošlosti, otkrio je pjevač ranije za Evening Standard. Prepričao je situaciju u kojoj je kolegama iz benda priznao da ga privlače muškarci.
"Napao sam mini bar, napio se i pokucao mu na vrata (Simonu Webbeu iz benda "Blue"). Ridao sam, uplakan sjeo i rekao: Sjećaš se mog prijatelja Petea? Zaljubljen sam u njega. On je moj tajni dečko.
On mi je odgovorio: Ti si gej? Mislio sam da ćeš mi reći da imaš rak...", prepričao je James.
No nakon godina skrivanja, veza sa ženama i tajnih druženja s muškarcima, posljednja je objava na njegovu Instagramu odjeknula kao bomba - pjevač je sretan i zaljubljen, a svoju sreću ne krije. 41-godišnjak je u vezi s Brazilcem Rodrigom Reisom s kojim je i pozirao zagrljen na fotografiji.
"Godinama se nisam identificirao kao gej muškarac zbog vlastitih problema kad je u pitanju bilo "izlaženje iz ormara", ali konačno sam zadovoljan u svojoj koži i zbog ovog muškarca pored mene sretan sam što sam gej. Predivna si osoba, izvana i iznutra i hvala ti što si stavio osmijeh na moje lice", napisao je James.
Duncan James 2009. izjavio je da je "biseksualac", 2012. da je "gej", no nikada se do ovoga trenutka nije u javnosti pokazao s dečkom. Dapače, na brojne je javne događaje dolazio u ženkome društvu, pridodajući i to "pritiscima javnosti" i imidžu koji je htio stvoriti.
Oglasio se nedugo nakon objave kako bi zahvalio svima na podršci. Jedan od komentara na njegovu Instagramu glasi:
"Ljubav je ljubav! Bez obzira na spol, boju kože i religiju. Kad ju pronađete, slavite ju!".
