Twitter Inc. je pozvao svojih više od 330 milijuna korisnika da promijene svoje zaporke nakon što je kvar doveo do toga da su neke od njih bile pohranjene kao običan tekst na njegovu internom računalnom sustavu.

Društvena mreža je priopćila kako je popravila kvar te da interna istraga nije pronašla nikakvih nagovještaja da je netko iznutra ukrao zaporke ili ih zloupotrijebio, ali je pozvala sve korisnike da razmotre promjenu zaporki "iz čistog opreza". 
Mreža nije rekla koliko je zaporka pogođeno. Međutim, osoba upoznata s reakcijom kompanije rekla je da je brojka "znatna" te da su bile izložene "nekoliko mjeseci".

Twitter je otkrio kvar prije nekoliko tjedana i izvijestio je o njemu neke regulatore, rekla je ta osoba, koja nema ovlasti da govori o tom pitanju.

Ovo otkriće dolazi u vrijeme dok zakonodavci i regulatori diljem svijeta pomno istražuju način na koji te kompanije pohranjuju i osiguravaju podatke korisnika, nakon niza sigurnosnih incidenata koje se dogodile među ostalim u tvrtkama Equifax Inc, Facebook Inc i Uber.

Twitter Inc. je pozvao svojih više od 330 milijuna korisnika da promijene svoje zaporke nakon što je kvar doveo do toga da su neke od njih bile pohranjene kao običan tekst na njegovu internom računalnom sustavu.

Društvena mreža je priopćila kako je popravila kvar te da interna istraga nije pronašla nikakvih nagovještaja da je netko iznutra ukrao zaporke ili ih zloupotrijebio, ali je pozvala sve korisnike da razmotre promjenu zaporki "iz čistog opreza". 
Mreža nije rekla koliko je zaporka pogođeno. Međutim, osoba upoznata s reakcijom kompanije rekla je da je brojka "znatna" te da su bile izložene "nekoliko mjeseci".

Twitter je otkrio kvar prije nekoliko tjedana i izvijestio je o njemu neke regulatore, rekla je ta osoba, koja nema ovlasti da govori o tom pitanju.

Ovo otkriće dolazi u vrijeme dok zakonodavci i regulatori diljem svijeta pomno istražuju način na koji te kompanije pohranjuju i osiguravaju podatke korisnika, nakon niza sigurnosnih incidenata koje se dogodile među ostalim u tvrtkama Equifax Inc, Facebook Inc i Uber.
