Prof. dr. Janoš Terzić, pročelnik Katedre za imunologiju i medicinsku genetiku na splitskom Medicinskom fakultetu i poznati hrvatski znanstvenik, spremno je kazao kako treba još puno velikih otkrića i Nobelovih nagrada da se riješi problem raka, ali mnogi napredci se događaju svaki dan.
- Ono što svatko može napraviti za sebe samog je prevencija koja uključuje prestanak pušenja, redovitu tjelovježbu, reguliranje tjelesne težine, zdravu prehranu koja isključuje zaslađena pića i crveno meso, a uključuje voće, povrće i mikrobiom, zatim cijepljenje protiv HPV-a i hepatitisa B, kemoprofilaksu...- kazao je dr. Terzić dodavši kako je za produljenje životnog vijeka važnu ulogu igra epidemiologija.
Radovi dr. Terzića objavljeni su u mnogim uglednim časopisima poput “Cancer Cella”, poput onih o povezanosti upale i raka debeloga crijeva, a citirani su na stotine puta, što je dokaz da je ovaj liječnik uistinu stručnjak u svom poslu.
- Prije su teze govorile da čir na želucu nastaje zbog kiseline ili faktora stresa (psihosomatski), no danas je poznato da je uzrok bakterija. Tu upalu odmah treba otkloniti, odnosno suzbiti antibioticima, jer infekcija mikroorganizmima koja traje i ne liječi se, u razdoblju od deset ili petnaest godina, može rezultirati malignom bolešću, odnosno rakom želuca.
Terzić je naglasio da se stanice raka neprestalno dijele, teže k besmrtnošću, ali da im u biti slijedi evolucijska smrt. Nažalost, to nekad znači i smrt nositelja.
- Treba imati na umu da je svaki tumor u početku tek jedna stanica, pa ako je se otkrije na vrijeme, uspjeh liječenja je puno veći.
Stoga treba odlaziti na redovite kontrole k liječniku poput kolonoskorije, CT pluća, mamografije, Papa testa, biomarkera, mjerenje hlapljivih organskih tvari u izdahnutom zraku... Treba voditi računa o svom zdravlju - upozorava Terzić.

Prof. dr. Janoš Terzić, pročelnik Katedre za imunologiju i medicinsku genetiku na splitskom Medicinskom fakultetu i poznati hrvatski znanstvenik, spremno je kazao kako treba još puno velikih otkrića i Nobelovih nagrada da se riješi problem raka, ali mnogi napredci se događaju svaki dan.
- Ono što svatko može napraviti za sebe samog je prevencija koja uključuje prestanak pušenja, redovitu tjelovježbu, reguliranje tjelesne težine, zdravu prehranu koja isključuje zaslađena pića i crveno meso, a uključuje voće, povrće i mikrobiom, zatim cijepljenje protiv HPV-a i hepatitisa B, kemoprofilaksu...- kazao je dr. Terzić dodavši kako je za produljenje životnog vijeka važnu ulogu igra epidemiologija.
Radovi dr. Terzića objavljeni su u mnogim uglednim časopisima poput “Cancer Cella”, poput onih o povezanosti upale i raka debeloga crijeva, a citirani su na stotine puta, što je dokaz da je ovaj liječnik uistinu stručnjak u svom poslu.
- Prije su teze govorile da čir na želucu nastaje zbog kiseline ili faktora stresa (psihosomatski), no danas je poznato da je uzrok bakterija. Tu upalu odmah treba otkloniti, odnosno suzbiti antibioticima, jer infekcija mikroorganizmima koja traje i ne liječi se, u razdoblju od deset ili petnaest godina, može rezultirati malignom bolešću, odnosno rakom želuca.
Terzić je naglasio da se stanice raka neprestalno dijele, teže k besmrtnošću, ali da im u biti slijedi evolucijska smrt. Nažalost, to nekad znači i smrt nositelja.
- Treba imati na umu da je svaki tumor u početku tek jedna stanica, pa ako je se otkrije na vrijeme, uspjeh liječenja je puno veći.
Stoga treba odlaziti na redovite kontrole k liječniku poput kolonoskorije, CT pluća, mamografije, Papa testa, biomarkera, mjerenje hlapljivih organskih tvari u izdahnutom zraku... Treba voditi računa o svom zdravlju - upozorava Terzić.
