Pijana papiga zvuči kao ime nekog punk benda, ali zapravo, riječ je o australskoj stvarnosti. Kraj sezone manga znači da se na zemlji nalazi mnogo plodova tog voća, koji lagano fermentiraju. Mnoge životinje vole tu poslasticu koja tako nevino leži na zemlji, čekajući da je pojedu. Mnoge životinje nakon što pojedu taj slastan zalogaj totalno podivljaju, piše VauMiau.

Stvar je, naime, ozbiljna. Samo prošlog tjedna Broome Veterinary Hospital, smještena u gradu Broomeu u pokrajini Kimberley, primila je desetke pijanih crvenokrilih papagaja. Konzumacija etanola za te životinje često je veoma kobna. Veterinar Paul Murphy rekao je kako su samo ptice koje su imale sreće dospjele u kliniku, gdje su spašene. Mnoge su umrle prije nego su ih ljudi pronašli i spasili. Ubio ih je alkohol. Doslovno.

- Od trovanja obično pate nekoliko dana, ne dogodi se to odmah. U tom vremenu ih ljudi lako mogu uloviti, jer su letargične i u nekom od stadija pothranjenosti - rekao je veterinar Paul Murphy, koji se brine za papige na oporavku.

Za ABC net pojasnio je kako papige ne umiru samo od trovanja, nego ih ubije i njihovo pijano ponašanje.

- Znaju nam doći i jer su ih ljudi pokupili sa zemlje nakon što su se zabili u prozor ili su ih našili kako sjede na podu, a tako su lak plijen, recimo, mačkama. Trijezna papiga nikada neće sjediti na zemlji izlažući se opasnosti - istaknuo je Murphy.

Ono što je u cijeloj priči nejasno je zašto su ove papige najpodložnije utjecaju fermentiranih manga. Neki smatraju da je razlog tome činjenica da im je to voće najdostupnije, a prilika čini lopova, pa se papige zato u ovo doba godine doslovno ubiju od alkohola. Drugi pak misle da je stvar u mirisu voća koje truli i koje im je iznimno privlačno. Naime, mango ima puno šećera, što privlači papige, pa ga zbog toga upravo one najviše jedu i, posljedično, imaju najviše problema zbog konzumacije.

Stručnjaci apeliraju na ljude koji primijete papige da ih ne odnesu doma i zatvore u kaveze. Treba ih dovesti veterinarima, koji će im pomoći u oporavku i potom ih pustiti ih u divljinu. Problem je što mnogi misle da, ako im papiga dopusti da je ponesu sa sobom, to znači da ona želi biti kućni ljubimac. To nije točno. Pijana je, ne zna što radi.

Pijana papiga zvuči kao ime nekog punk benda, ali zapravo, riječ je o australskoj stvarnosti. Kraj sezone manga znači da se na zemlji nalazi mnogo plodova tog voća, koji lagano fermentiraju. Mnoge životinje vole tu poslasticu koja tako nevino leži na zemlji, čekajući da je pojedu. Mnoge životinje nakon što pojedu taj slastan zalogaj totalno podivljaju, piše VauMiau.

Stvar je, naime, ozbiljna. Samo prošlog tjedna Broome Veterinary Hospital, smještena u gradu Broomeu u pokrajini Kimberley, primila je desetke pijanih crvenokrilih papagaja. Konzumacija etanola za te životinje često je veoma kobna. Veterinar Paul Murphy rekao je kako su samo ptice koje su imale sreće dospjele u kliniku, gdje su spašene. Mnoge su umrle prije nego su ih ljudi pronašli i spasili. Ubio ih je alkohol. Doslovno.

- Od trovanja obično pate nekoliko dana, ne dogodi se to odmah. U tom vremenu ih ljudi lako mogu uloviti, jer su letargične i u nekom od stadija pothranjenosti - rekao je veterinar Paul Murphy, koji se brine za papige na oporavku.

Za ABC net pojasnio je kako papige ne umiru samo od trovanja, nego ih ubije i njihovo pijano ponašanje.

- Znaju nam doći i jer su ih ljudi pokupili sa zemlje nakon što su se zabili u prozor ili su ih našili kako sjede na podu, a tako su lak plijen, recimo, mačkama. Trijezna papiga nikada neće sjediti na zemlji izlažući se opasnosti - istaknuo je Murphy.

Ono što je u cijeloj priči nejasno je zašto su ove papige najpodložnije utjecaju fermentiranih manga. Neki smatraju da je razlog tome činjenica da im je to voće najdostupnije, a prilika čini lopova, pa se papige zato u ovo doba godine doslovno ubiju od alkohola. Drugi pak misle da je stvar u mirisu voća koje truli i koje im je iznimno privlačno. Naime, mango ima puno šećera, što privlači papige, pa ga zbog toga upravo one najviše jedu i, posljedično, imaju najviše problema zbog konzumacije.

Stručnjaci apeliraju na ljude koji primijete papige da ih ne odnesu doma i zatvore u kaveze. Treba ih dovesti veterinarima, koji će im pomoći u oporavku i potom ih pustiti ih u divljinu. Problem je što mnogi misle da, ako im papiga dopusti da je ponesu sa sobom, to znači da ona želi biti kućni ljubimac. To nije točno. Pijana je, ne zna što radi.

Pijana papiga zvuči kao ime nekog punk benda, ali zapravo, riječ je o australskoj stvarnosti. Kraj sezone manga znači da se na zemlji nalazi mnogo plodova tog voća, koji lagano fermentiraju. Mnoge životinje vole tu poslasticu koja tako nevino leži na zemlji, čekajući da je pojedu. Mnoge životinje nakon što pojedu taj slastan zalogaj totalno podivljaju, piše VauMiau.

Stvar je, naime, ozbiljna. Samo prošlog tjedna Broome Veterinary Hospital, smještena u gradu Broomeu u pokrajini Kimberley, primila je desetke pijanih crvenokrilih papagaja. Konzumacija etanola za te životinje često je veoma kobna. Veterinar Paul Murphy rekao je kako su samo ptice koje su imale sreće dospjele u kliniku, gdje su spašene. Mnoge su umrle prije nego su ih ljudi pronašli i spasili. Ubio ih je alkoho...
