Glumica Selma Blair već se nekoliko godina bori s multiplom sklerozom, autoimunom bolešću koja pogađa središnji živčani sustav. Bolest joj je dijagnosticirana 2018. godine, a Selma je prošla kroz teško liječenje. Naime, kako bi "resetirala" svoj imunološki sustav i obnovila matične stanice, liječnici su Selmi preporučili presađivanje stanica i agresivnu dozu kemoterapije koja se inače daje pacijentima oboljelima od raka, piše Gloria.

No, sve to je ostavilo velike posljedice na njezin organizam koji je svakim danom bio sve slabiji. Jako teško se kretala, boljeli su je kukovi i noge, no unatoč tolikoj patnji, glumica je redovito dijelila svoju borbu s fanovima na društvenim mrežama. Jer, jedina želja čovjeku koji je bolestan jest za ozdravi, a u tome mu treba potpora baš svih.
Unatoč bolesti, Selma je došla na premijeru svog filma u glamuroznoj haljini, a prozirni štap pomagao joj je u kretanju.
Selma je svoj život proteklih nekoliko godina željela evidentirati na nešto trajniji način pa je snimila dokumentarac pod nazivom "Upoznavanje Selme Blair" koji pruža 'sirov' uvid u borbu s bolešću i sve što je prošla. I nije joj bilo nimalo lako.
- Provela sam toliko dugo pokušavajući se ubiti ili otupjeti, smisliti kako biti polumrtva, a sada samo želim pomoći drugim ljudima da se osjećaju bolje, govori Selma u 90-minutnom filmu. U njemu ne krije ni najteže posljedice bolesti - mucanje, trzanje tijela, hodanje sa štapom ili pak nemogućnost pisanja ni dvije riječi. Osim toga, nakon tretmana pojavile su joj se modrice i trpjela je nepodnošljive bolove.

- Osjećam se bolesno. Evo što se događa. Nema blještavila ni glamura, noći su duge. Gotovo svaka noć. Mišići na vratu i licu mi se grče ili se toliko stisnu da ne mogu pronaći način da ih rastegnem. Povrh svega imam i želučanih problema. Hvala mom sedmogodišnjem sinu Arthuru na pomoći, otkrila je glumica u filmu.
Njezin Arthur (10) najveća joj je podrška te joj je čak pomogao obrijati glavu nakon kemoterapije kada joj je kosa počela ispadati.
Na pitanje hoće li se ikada vratiti glumi, ona odgovara s jasnim 'ne', no onda dodaje: Ne znam. Ne znam tko bi vjerovao u mene.

Jer, jedina želja čovjeku koji je bolestan jest za ozdravi, a u tome mu treba potpora baš svih.
Unatoč bolesti, Selma je došla na premijeru svog filma u glamuroznoj haljini, a prozirni štap pomagao joj je u kretanju.
Selma je svoj život proteklih nekoliko godina željela evidentirati na nešto trajniji način pa je snimila dokumentarac pod nazivom "Upoznavanje Selme Blair" koji pruža 'sirov' uvid u borbu s bolešću i sve što je prošla. I nije joj bilo nimalo lako.
- Provela sam toliko dugo pokušavajući se ubiti ili otupjeti, smisliti kako biti polumrtva, a sada samo želim pomoći drugim ljudima da se osjećaju bolje, govori Selma u 90-minutnom filmu. U njemu ne krije ni najteže posljedice bolesti - mucanje, trzanje tijela, hodanje sa štapom ili pak nemogućnost pisanja ni dvije riječi. Osim toga, nakon tretmana pojavile su joj se modrice i trpjela je nepodnošljive bolove.

- Osjećam se bolesno. Evo što se događa. Nema blještavila ni glamura, noći su duge. Gotovo svaka noć. Mišići na vratu i licu mi se grče ili se toliko stisnu da ne mogu pronaći način da ih rastegnem. Povrh svega imam i želučanih problema. Hvala mom sedmogodišnjem sinu Arthuru na pomoći, otkrila je glumica u filmu.
Njezin Arthur (10) najveća joj je podrška te joj je čak pomogao obrijati glavu nakon kemoterapije kada joj je kosa počela ispadati.
Na pitanje hoće li se ikada vratiti glumi, ona odgovara s jasnim 'ne', no onda dodaje: Ne znam. Ne znam tko bi vjerovao u mene.

Glumica Selma Blair već se nekoliko godina bori s multiplom sklerozom, autoimunom bolešću koja pogađa središnji živčani sustav. Bolest joj je dijagnosticirana 2018. godine, a Selma je prošla kroz teško liječenje. Naime, kako bi "resetirala" svoj imunološki sustav i obnovila matične stanice, liječnici su Selmi preporučili presađivanje stanica i agresivnu dozu kemoterapije koja se inače daje pacijentima oboljelima od raka, piše Gloria.
No, sve to je ostavilo velike posljedice na njezin organizam koji je svakim danom bio sve slabiji. Jako teško se kretala, boljeli su je kukovi i noge, no unatoč tolikoj patnji, glumica je redovito dijelila svoju borbu s fanovima na društvenim mrežama.
