U novoj studiji istraživača sa Sveučilišta New York, Štokholmske ekonomske škole i Sveučilišta u Barceloni potvrđeno je da kad se naglo obogate, muškarci u prosjeku imaju veću vjerojatnost da će se oženiti i imati djecu, a manju da će se razvesti. Isto tako potvrđuju i da je sa ženama stanje potpuno drugačije. Iznenadno bogatstvo žene ne utječe na vjerojatnost da će se udati ili imati djecu, ali povećava vjerojatnost da će se brzo razvesti, piše Tportal. 

Ekonomisti vjeruju da njihovo područje rada može pomoći u objašnjenju različitih ogranaka obiteljskog života, kao na primjer brak, razvode i rađanje djece, a time se bavio dobitnik Nobelove nagrade Gary Becker prije nekih 50 godina.

Njegova teorija kaže da se ljudi vjenčavaju zbog istog razloga iz kojeg nacije trguju, zbog komparativnih prednosti. Ako su muškarci bolji u zarađivanju novca, a žene bolje u brizi o domu i djeci - ili obrnuto, udruživanje snaga smisleno je rješenje.

Istraživači su primijetili da je vrlo teško pronaći veliki broj ljudi koji su doživjeli skok svojih prihoda, zbog čega su godinama prikupljali neekonomske podatke o njima. Rješenje autora bilo je proučiti igrače švedske lutrije.

Nagrade se kreću od manjih do velikih, a, kao u svakoj lutriji, pobjednici se biraju nasumično. Autori studije su zatim stvorili velike uzorke dobitnika i onih koji nisu dobili na lutriji iz javno dostupnih izvora te su ih spojili s državnim podacima, uključujući one o prihodu, braku, razvodu i rođenju.

Studija je pokazala da neoženjeni muškarac koji dobije na lutriji oko 96.000 dolara ima 30 posto veću vjerojatnost da će se oženiti u sljedećih pet godina, a ako je oženjen, ima 40 posto manju vjerojatnost da će se razvesti u sljedećih deset godina. Uz to, vjerojatnost da će muškarac imati više djece u sljedećih 10 godina iznosi 14 posto.

Dobitak na lutriji utjecao je na žene na samo jedan značajan način: gotovo je udvostručio vjerojatnost da će se one razvesti. Istraživači napominju da je, kako je učinak vidljiv tek u godinama neposredno nakon dobitka na lutriji, moguće tumačenje toga da bogatstvo ubrzava već započete razvode.

Ovo je istraživanje "pokosilo" rašireno stajalište o tome da mlade odrasle osobe odgađaju brak dok ne postignu financijsku stabilnost, ali je i potvrdilo da muškarci postaju privlačniji kada su financijski dobrostojeći.

Autori studije objasnili su da muškarci i žene cijene različite kriterije pri odabiru partnera i da žene više cijene potencijal zarade, inteligenciju i društveni status potencijalnih partnera od muškaraca, piše Tportal.

U novoj studiji istraživača sa Sveučilišta New York, Štokholmske ekonomske škole i Sveučilišta u Barceloni potvrđeno je da kad se naglo obogate, muškarci u prosjeku imaju veću vjerojatnost da će se oženiti i imati djecu, a manju da će se razvesti. Isto tako potvrđuju i da je sa ženama stanje potpuno drugačije. Iznenadno bogatstvo žene ne utječe na vjerojatnost da će se udati ili imati djecu, ali povećava vjerojatnost da će se brzo razvesti, piše Tportal. 

Ekonomisti vjeruju da njihovo područje rada može pomoći u objašnjenju različitih ogranaka obiteljskog života, kao na primjer brak, razvode i rađanje djece, a time se bavio dobitnik Nobelove nagrade Gary Becker prije nekih 50 godina.

Njegova teorija kaže da se ljudi vjenčavaju zbog istog razloga iz kojeg nacije trguju, zbog komparativnih prednosti. Ako su muškarci bolji u zarađivanju novca, a žene bolje u brizi o domu i djeci - ili obrnuto, udruživanje snaga smisleno je rješenje.

Istraživači su primijetili da je vrlo teško pronaći veliki broj ljudi koji su doživjeli skok svojih prihoda, zbog čega su godinama prikupljali neekonomske podatke o njima. Rješenje autora bilo je proučiti igrače švedske lutrije.

Nagrade se kreću od manjih do velikih, a, kao u svakoj lutriji, pobjednici se biraju nasumično. Autori studije su zatim stvorili velike uzorke dobitnika i onih koji nisu dobili na lutriji iz javno dostupnih izvora te su ih spojili s državnim podacima, uključujući one o prihodu, braku, razvodu i rođenju.

Studija je pokazala da neoženjeni muškarac koji dobije na lutriji oko 96.000 dolara ima 30 posto veću vjerojatnost da će se oženiti u sljedećih pet godina, a ako je oženjen, ima 40 posto manju vjerojatnost da će se razvesti u sljedećih deset godina. Uz to, vjerojatnost da će muškarac imati više djece u sljedećih 10 godina iznosi 14 posto.

Dobitak na lutriji utjecao je na žene na samo jedan značajan način: gotovo je udvostručio vjerojatnost da će se one razvesti. Istraživači napominju da je, kako je učinak vidljiv tek u godinama neposredno nakon dobitka na lutriji, moguće tumačenje toga da bogatstvo ubrzava već započete razvode.

Ovo je istraživanje "pokosilo" rašireno stajalište o tome da mlade odrasle osobe odgađaju brak dok ne postignu financijsku stabilnost, ali je i potvrdilo da muškarci postaju privlačniji kada su financijski dobrostojeći.

Autori studije objasnili su da muškarci i žene cijene različite kriterije pri odabiru partnera i da žene više cijene potencijal zarade, inteligenciju i društveni status potencijalnih partnera od muškaraca, piše Tportal.

U novoj studiji istraživača sa Sveučilišta New York, Štokholmske ekonomske škole i Sveučilišta u Barceloni potvrđeno je da kad se naglo obogate, muškarci u prosjeku imaju veću vjerojatnost da će se oženiti i imati djecu, a manju da će se razvesti. Isto tako potvrđuju i da je sa ženama stanje potpuno drugačije. Iznenadno bogatstvo žene ne utječe na vjerojatnost da će se udati ili imati djecu, ali povećava vjerojatnost da će se brzo razvesti, piše Tportal. 

Ekonomisti vjeruju da njihovo područje rada može pomoći u objašnjenju različitih ogranaka obiteljskog života, kao na primjer brak, razvode i rađanje djece, a time se bavio dobitnik Nobelove nagrade Gary Becker prije nekih 50 godina.
