Godišnji globalni pokret, tzv. 'Srpanj bez plastike ili Plastic Free July', od 2011. godine, kao dio 'Plastic Free' fondacije potiče ljude na smanjenje potrošnje plastike i osvještava o promjenama koje je potrebno uvesti u svakodnevicu za dobrobit svih nas. Ono što je prije devet godina u Velikoj Britaniji započelo kao skromno okupljanje, godinama je počelo privlačiti sve veći broj ljudi, a procjenjuje se da se samo prošle godine projektu odazvalo preko 230 milijuna ljudi.

Nadahnjujući ljude da razmisle o svakodnevnoj upotrebi plastike i malim promjenama u načinu života, kampanja pokazuje kako svi možemo pomoći smanjenju utjecaja plastike na naš planet, a jedna od činjenica kojom posebno upozoravaju jest da će, nastavimo li se ponašati kao i do sada, do 2050. u svjetskim morima biti više plastike nego riba.

Porast svjesnosti

Posljednjih godina, uz poticaj brojnih ekoloških aktivista i kampanja, svjesnost o očuvanju okoliša krenula je rasti među ljudima, a neke velike korporacije i trgovački lanci odlučili su to podržati i pokušati smanjiti uporabu plastike, izbacivši plastične vrećice iz upotrebe.

Oni koji su zadržali plastične vrećice u svojoj ponudi, povisili su njihove cijene, što je također doprinijelo smanjenju njihova korištenja.

No, u jeku pandemije koronavirusa, zbog straha od zaraze, upotreba jednokratnih plastičnih predmeta naglo je porasla kako bi se suzbila opasnost od širenja zaraze, tako da je sada važnije nego ikada razviti svijest o pravilnom korištenju plastike, njenoj redukciji svakodnevne upotrebe i reciklaži. 

Iz kampanje 'Plastic Free July' naglašavaju da je unošenje malih promjena jednostavnije no što se čini, a alternativa plastici je mnogo. Evo nekoliko korisnih savjeta.

Kod kupnje voća i povrća pokušajte ne koristiti plastične vrećice za vaganje već višekratne platnene ili mrežaste koje se mogu prati i ponovno koristiti. Ručak na posao nosite u kutiji ili posudi koju možete oprati i iznova koristiti, a svakako izbjegnite i kupnju gotovih jela u plastičnoj ambalaži koju potom bacate i stvarate nepotreban otpad.

Za vrućih dana, nabavite si staklenu bocu za vodu kako biste izbjegli kupnju osvježavajućih pića u plastičnoj ambalaži, a slamke apsolutno izbacite iz uporabe. 

U kupnju nikada ne krećite bez vlastite, platnene vrećice, a četkice za zube i štapiće za uši pokušajte zamijeniti verzijama od bambusa. Tekući sapun zamijenite krutim, a plastični Tupperware staklenim verzijama. Prilikom odabira odjeće radije se odlučite za predmete od prirodnih materijala poput lana, pamuka ili vune, a izbjegnite poliuretansko ili elastično vlakno.

Ako još uvijek niste uveli promjene u svoj dnevni ritam, prisjetite se samo da je u svijetu dosad proizvedeno više od 8,3 milijardi tona plastike, a oko 80 posto tog materijala završit će na odlagalištima otpada ili još gore - oko nas. Promjena kreće od nas samih, a osim kao dio tog pokreta, budimo dio i konačnog rješenja.

Godišnji globalni pokret, tzv. 'Srpanj bez plastike ili Plastic Free July', od 2011. godine, kao dio 'Plastic Free' fondacije potiče ljude na smanjenje potrošnje plastike i osvještava o promjenama koje je potrebno uvesti u svakodnevicu za dobrobit svih nas. Ono što je prije devet godina u Velikoj Britaniji započelo kao skromno okupljanje, godinama je počelo privlačiti sve veći broj ljudi, a procjenjuje se da se samo prošle godine projektu odazvalo preko 230 milijuna ljudi.

Nadahnjujući ljude da razmisle o svakodnevnoj upotrebi plastike i malim promjenama u načinu života, kampanja pokazuje kako svi možemo pomoći smanjenju utjecaja plastike na naš planet, a jedna od činjenica kojom posebno upozoravaju jest da će, nastavimo li se ponašati kao i do sada, do 2050. u svjetskim morima biti više plastike nego riba.

Porast svjesnosti

Posljednjih godina, uz poticaj brojnih ekoloških aktivista i kampanja, svjesnost o očuvanju okoliša krenula je rasti među ljudima, a neke velike korporacije i trgovački lanci odlučili su to podržati i pokušati smanjiti uporabu plastike, izbacivši plastične vrećice iz upotrebe.

Oni koji su zadržali plastične vrećice u svojoj ponudi, povisili su njihove cijene, što je također doprinijelo smanjenju njihova korištenja.

No, u jeku pandemije koronavirusa, zbog straha od zaraze, upotreba jednokratnih plastičnih predmeta naglo je porasla kako bi se suzbila opasnost od širenja zaraze, tako da je sada važnije nego ikada razviti svijest o pravilnom korištenju plastike, njenoj redukciji svakodnevne upotrebe i reciklaži. 

Iz kampanje 'Plastic Free July' naglašavaju da je unošenje malih promjena jednostavnije no što se čini, a alternativa plastici je mnogo. Evo nekoliko korisnih savjeta.

Kod kupnje voća i povrća pokušajte ne koristiti plastične vrećice za vaganje već višekratne platnene ili mrežaste koje se mogu prati i ponovno koristiti. Ručak na posao nosite u kutiji ili posudi koju možete oprati i iznova koristiti, a svakako izbjegnite i kupnju gotovih jela u plastičnoj ambalaži koju potom bacate i stvarate nepotreban otpad.

Za vrućih dana, nabavite si staklenu bocu za vodu kako biste izbjegli kupnju osvježavajućih pića u plastičnoj ambalaži, a slamke apsolutno izbacite iz uporabe. 

U kupnju nikada ne krećite bez vlastite, platnene vrećice, a četkice za zube i štapiće za uši pokušajte zamijeniti verzijama od bambusa. Tekući sapun zamijenite krutim, a plastični Tupperware staklenim verzijama. Prilikom odabira odjeće radije se odlučite za predmete od prirodnih materijala poput lana, pamuka ili vune, a izbjegnite poliuretansko ili elastično vlakno.

Ako još uvijek niste uveli promjene u svoj dnevni ritam, prisjetite se samo da je u svijetu dosad proizvedeno više od 8,3 milijardi tona plastike, a oko 80 posto tog materijala završit će na odlagalištima otpada ili još gore - oko nas. Promjena kreće od nas samih, a osim kao dio tog pokreta, budimo dio i konačnog rješenja.

Godišnji globalni pokret, tzv. 'Srpanj bez plastike ili Plastic Free July', od 2011. godine, kao dio 'Plastic Free' fondacije potiče ljude na smanjenje potrošnje plastike i osvještava o promjenama koje je potrebno uvesti u svakodnevicu za dobrobit svih nas. Ono što je prije devet godina u Velikoj Britaniji započelo kao skromno okupljanje, godinama je počelo privlačiti sve veći broj ljudi, a procjenjuje se da se samo prošle godine projektu odazvalo preko 230 milijuna ljudi.

Nadahnjujući ljude da razmisle o svakodnevnoj upotrebi plastike i malim promjenama u načinu života, kampanja pokazuje kako svi možemo pomoći smanjenju utjecaja plastike na naš planet, a jedna od činjenica kojom posebno upozoravaju jest da će, nastavimo li se ponašati kao i do sada, do 2050. u svjetskim morim...
