Mazda MX-5, popularna Miata, jedan je od najjeftinijih roadstera na tržištu, ali je oduvijek favorizirala odlično upravljanje umjesto velikih brojeva performansi. 

Sadašnji model ispod haube ima 4-cilindarski agregat radne zapremnine dvije litre koji proizvodi 155 “konja”, što uopće nije loše s obzirom na težinu od 1057 kilograma. Međutim, MX-5 je malo slabija od modela Fiat 124 Spider, koji ima 4-cilindarski agregat zapremnine 1,4 litre i razvija 160 “konja”.

To bi se sve uskoro moglo promijeniti jer najnoviji izvještaji sugeriraju da će nova generacija (ili redizajnirana verzija) modela Mazda MX-5 dobiti novi pogonski sklop, odnosno više konjskih snaga.

U izvještaju se spominje da će nova generacija imati 4-cilindarski agregat zapremnine dvije litre, s tim što će proizvoditi 181 KS, što je za 26 “konja” više nego kod sadašnjeg modela.

Još uvijek nije jasno hoće li ova dodatna snaga biti dobivena uz pomoć turbo ili super punjača, jer se nigdje ne spominju, a kompanija je izričito demantirala glasine da će MX-5 dobiti novi agregat SkyActive-X.

Prema tome, vjerojatno su inženjeri nekako uspjeli modificirati trenutnu SkyActive-G pogonsku jedinicu.

Mazda MX-5, popularna Miata, jedan je od najjeftinijih roadstera na tržištu, ali je oduvijek favorizirala odlično upravljanje umjesto velikih brojeva performansi. 

Sadašnji model ispod haube ima 4-cilindarski agregat radne zapremnine dvije litre koji proizvodi 155 “konja”, što uopće nije loše s obzirom na težinu od 1057 kilograma. Međutim, MX-5 je malo slabija od modela Fiat 124 Spider, koji ima 4-cilindarski agregat zapremnine 1,4 litre i razvija 160 “konja”.

To bi se sve uskoro moglo promijeniti jer najnoviji izvještaji sugeriraju da će nova generacija (ili redizajnirana verzija) modela Mazda MX-5 dobiti novi pogonski sklop, odnosno više konjskih snaga.

U izvještaju se spominje da će nova generacija imati 4-cilindarski agregat zapremnine dvije litre, s tim što će proizvoditi 181 KS, što je za 26 “konja” više nego kod sadašnjeg modela.

Još uvijek nije jasno hoće li ova dodatna snaga biti dobivena uz pomoć turbo ili super punjača, jer se nigdje ne spominju, a kompanija je izričito demantirala glasine da će MX-5 dobiti novi agregat SkyActive-X.

Prema tome, vjerojatno su inženjeri nekako uspjeli modificirati trenutnu SkyActive-G pogonsku jedinicu.
