Tijekom leta od Birminghama do Malage u lipnju 1990. godine, dok je avion putovao iznad Oxfordshirea, iznenada su se razbila dva od šest prozora u kokpitu. Kapetan Tim Lancaster strgnut je sa svog sjedala i isisan kroz prozor dok je zrakoplov bio na visini od oko 7000 metara. Sila je također raznijela vrata kokpita, strgnuvši ih sa šarki pa je Stuart Nigel Ogden jedva je stajao, priča National Geographic. 

- Okrenuo sam se i vidio kroz otvor, gdje su trebala biti vrata pilotske kabine, da nema vjetrobrana, da je Tim, pilot, izletio kroz prozor - on je bio otkinut iz pojasa i sve što sam mogao vidjeti bile su njegove noge, rekao je Ogden te dodao kako je morao uletjeti u kokpit i pilota držati za noge dok je polako klizio kroz prozor.

- Onda sam preskočio kontrolnu ploču i uhvatio ga za struk da ga čvršće zgrabim. Košulja mu je pala s leđa, a tijelo mu je bilo nagnuto nad vrhom aviona. Noge su mu bile zaglavljene u kontrolnoj ploči i slučajno su isključile autopilota. To je pridonijelo padu brzine zrakoplova na gotovo 650 km/h kroz nebo, nastavio je s pričom Ogdeon koji je i sam u jednom trenutku počeo kliziti. 

Srećom, član kabinske posade, John Heward, od šoka je došao k sebi, utrčao u kokpit i uhvatio ga za pojas.

- Još sam držao Tima, ali ruke su mi bile sve slabije, a onda je on skliznuo. Mislio sam da ću ga izgubiti, ali se sklopio u obliku slova U oko prozora. Lice mu je udaralo na prozoru, krv mu je curila iz nosa i sa strane glave, ruke su mu lepršale. Najstrašnije mi je bilo što su mu oči bile širom otvorene. Nikada neću zaboraviti tu scenu dok sam živ, rekao je Ogdeon. 

Dok je kopilot Alistair Atkinson polako uspio preuzeti kontrolu, druga stjuardesa po imenu Simone također je stigla do kokpita i zgrabila lanac ljudi. 

- Sjećam se da je Alistair, kopilot, pokušavao kontrolirati zrakoplov i vikao Mayday! Mayday!, na radiju. Samo Bog zna kako je Alastair uspio staviti zrakoplov pod kontrolu. Pustila sam Johna i otrčala natrag gledati putnike, koji su čuli prasak. Moja jadna kolegica Su Prince sama se pobrinula za sve u avionu", rekla je stjuardesa Simone.

Zrakoplov je sletio u zračnu luku u Southamptonu, gdje su ih dočekale hitne službe. Apsolutno nevjerojatno, ali pilot je zadobio nekoliko prijeloma i ozebline, preživjevši ovaj trumatiča događaj!

Prema izvješću Odjela za istraživanje zračnih nesreća nakon incidenta, majstor je pogrešnim vijcima pričvrstio vjetrobransko staklo zbog čega je skoro došlo do tragedije.

Tijekom leta od Birminghama do Malage u lipnju 1990. godine, dok je avion putovao iznad Oxfordshirea, iznenada su se razbila dva od šest prozora u kokpitu. Kapetan Tim Lancaster strgnut je sa svog sjedala i isisan kroz prozor dok je zrakoplov bio na visini od oko 7000 metara. Sila je također raznijela vrata kokpita, strgnuvši ih sa šarki pa je Stuart Nigel Ogden jedva je stajao, priča National Geographic. 

- Okrenuo sam se i vidio kroz otvor, gdje su trebala biti vrata pilotske kabine, da nema vjetrobrana, da je Tim, pilot, izletio kroz prozor - on je bio otkinut iz pojasa i sve što sam mogao vidjeti bile su njegove noge, rekao je Ogden te dodao kako je morao uletjeti u kokpit i pilota držati za noge dok je polako klizio kroz prozor.

- Onda sam preskočio kontrolnu ploču i uhvatio ga za struk da ga čvršće zgrabim. Košulja mu je pala s leđa, a tijelo mu je bilo nagnuto nad vrhom aviona. Noge su mu bile zaglavljene u kontrolnoj ploči i slučajno su isključile autopilota. To je pridonijelo padu brzine zrakoplova na gotovo 650 km/h kroz nebo, nastavio je s pričom Ogdeon koji je i sam u jednom trenutku počeo kliziti. 

Srećom, član kabinske posade, John Heward, od šoka je došao k sebi, utrčao u kokpit i uhvatio ga za pojas.

- Još sam držao Tima, ali ruke su mi bile sve slabije, a onda je on skliznuo. Mislio sam da ću ga izgubiti, ali se sklopio u obliku slova U oko prozora. Lice mu je udaralo na prozoru, krv mu je curila iz nosa i sa strane glave, ruke su mu lepršale. Najstrašnije mi je bilo što su mu oči bile širom otvorene. Nikada neću zaboraviti tu scenu dok sam živ, rekao je Ogdeon. 

Dok je kopilot Alistair Atkinson polako uspio preuzeti kontrolu, druga stjuardesa po imenu Simone također je stigla do kokpita i zgrabila lanac ljudi. 

- Sjećam se da je Alistair, kopilot, pokušavao kontrolirati zrakoplov i vikao Mayday! Mayday!, na radiju. Samo Bog zna kako je Alastair uspio staviti zrakoplov pod kontrolu. Pustila sam Johna i otrčala natrag gledati putnike, koji su čuli prasak. Moja jadna kolegica Su Prince sama se pobrinula za sve u avionu", rekla je stjuardesa Simone.

Zrakoplov je sletio u zračnu luku u Southamptonu, gdje su ih dočekale hitne službe. Apsolutno nevjerojatno, ali pilot je zadobio nekoliko prijeloma i ozebline, preživjevši ovaj trumatiča događaj!

Prema izvješću Odjela za istraživanje zračnih nesreća nakon incidenta, majstor je pogrešnim vijcima pričvrstio vjetrobransko staklo zbog čega je skoro došlo do tragedije.

Tijekom leta od Birminghama do Malage u lipnju 1990. godine, dok je avion putovao iznad Oxfordshirea, iznenada su se razbila dva od šest prozora u kokpitu. Kapetan Tim Lancaster strgnut je sa svog sjedala i isisan kroz prozor dok je zrakoplov bio na visini od oko 7000 metara. Sila je također raznijela vrata kokpita, strgnuvši ih sa šarki pa je Stuart Nigel Ogden jedva je stajao, priča National Geographic. 

- Okrenuo sam se i vidio kroz otvor, gdje su trebala biti vrata pilotske kabine, da nema vjetrobrana, da je Tim, pilot, izletio kroz prozor - on je bio otkinut iz pojasa i sve što sam mogao vidjeti bile su njegove noge, rekao je Ogden te dodao kako je morao uletjeti u kokpit i pilota držati za noge dok je polako klizio kroz prozor. 

- Onda sam preskočio kontrolnu ploču i uhvat...
