I prije i tijekom holokausta, nacističke vlasti provele su masivan, ali manje poznat program ciljanih ubojstava usmjerenih na invalide, piše National Geographic.
Započeo je kao program tijekom kojeg su eutanazirana dojenčad i djeca s invaliditetom koja su smatrana nesposobnima za život, a potom se s vremenom program proširio na odrasle osobe s invaliditetom kao i na starije osobe. Program je završio 1941. godine kao rezultat velikog bijesa ljudi diljem Njemačke. Žrtve Akcije T4 pomogle su nacistima da usavrše metode koje će uskoro koristiti za provedbu Holokausta, a ime je dobila po adresi na kojoj je bilo sjedište: 4 Tiergartenstraße, Berlin, odakle je izveden naziv Akcija T4.
Temelji na kojima je počivala Akcija T4 bili su u nacističkim idealima od osnutka stranke. Od početka su nacisti promovirali eugeniku - program za poboljšanje ljudske vrste sprječavanjem "inferiornih ljudi" da imaju djecu. Željeli su kontrolirati njemački genetski fond i poboljšati ga državnim djelovanjem.
U Mein Kampfu Adolf Hitler je uveo koncept "rasne higijene", napisavši da Njemačka "mora osigurati da rađaju samo zdrava djeca" i da to treba postići korištenjem "modernih medicinskih sredstava". Nacisti su smatrali da će se tako stvoriti superiorni Nijemci sposobni za rad i vojsku, a da sve ostale treba eliminirati.
Stravične procedure
Do ljeta 1939. stotine novorođenčadi i male djece odvedeno je iz domova i zdravstvenih ustanova diljem Njemačke i prevezeno na jedno od šest lokacija: Bernburg, Brandenburg, Grafenek, Hadamar, Hartheim i Sonnenstein. To su bila radna skloništa, tako da tu nije bilo ništa neobično.
Kad su tamo stigli, djeci su obično davane smrtonosne doze luminala ili morfija. Ponekad, međutim, metoda ubijanja nije bila tako nježna.
Jedan od liječnika, Herman Pfanmiler, napravio je plan za postupno izgladnjivanje djece. Prema njegovim riječima, to je bio prirodniji i mirniji način od oštre kemijske injekcije koja je zaustavila srce.Godine 1940., kada su njegov objekt u okupiranoj Poljskoj posjetili pripadnici njemačkog tiska, podigao je izgladnjelo dijete i rekao: "Ovo će potrajati još dva-tri dana!"
- Slika ovog debelog, nacerenog čovjeka, s kosturom u mesnatoj ruci, okružen drugom izgladnjelom djecom, još mi je pred očima, prisjetio se kasnije jedan član posjete koji ne može vjerovati viđenome.
Tijekom istog posjeta dr. Pfanmiller se požalio da je primio loše novinare od "stranih agitatora i određene gospode iz Švicarske", misleći na Crveni križ koji je u to vrijeme gotovo godinu dana pokušavao pregledati njegovu bolnicu.
Nakon prvih dana programa, opseg T4 Akcije proširen je na stariju djecu i odrasle osobe s teškoćama u razvoju koji se nisu mogli sami brinuti o sebi.
Na kraju su žrtve poslane izravno u centar za ubijanje na "posebni tretman", koji je tada uključivao tuširanje, zapravo komore s ugljičnim monoksidom prerušene u tuševe. Za ovaj trik "kupanja i dezinfekcije" zaslužan je Buler.

I prije i tijekom holokausta, nacističke vlasti provele su masivan, ali manje poznat program ciljanih ubojstava usmjerenih na invalide, piše National Geographic.
Započeo je kao program tijekom kojeg su eutanazirana dojenčad i djeca s invaliditetom koja su smatrana nesposobnima za život, a potom se s vremenom program proširio na odrasle osobe s invaliditetom kao i na starije osobe. Program je završio 1941. godine kao rezultat velikog bijesa ljudi diljem Njemačke. Žrtve Akcije T4 pomogle su nacistima da usavrše metode koje će uskoro koristiti za provedbu Holokausta, a ime je dobila po adresi na kojoj je bilo sjedište: 4 Tiergartenstraße, Berlin, odakle je izveden naziv Akcija T4.
Temelji na kojima je počivala Akcija T4 bili su u nacističkim idealima od osnutka stranke. Od početka su nacisti promovirali eugeniku - program za poboljšanje ljudske vrste sprječavanjem "inferiornih ljudi" da imaju djecu. Željeli su kontrolirati njemački genetski fond i poboljšati ga državnim djelovanjem.
U Mein Kampfu Adolf Hitler je uveo koncept "rasne higijene", napisavši da Njemačka "mora osigurati da rađaju samo zdrava djeca" i da to treba postići korištenjem "modernih medicinskih sredstava". Nacisti su smatrali da će se tako stvoriti superiorni Nijemci sposobni za rad i vojsku, a da sve ostale treba eliminirati.

Do ljeta 1939. stotine novorođenčadi i male djece odvedeno je iz domova i zdravstvenih ustanova diljem Njemačke i prevezeno na jedno od šest lokacija: Bernburg, Brandenburg, Grafenek, Hadamar, Hartheim i Sonnenstein. To su bila radna skloništa, tako da tu nije bilo ništa neobično.
Kad su tamo stigli, djeci su obično davane smrtonosne doze luminala ili morfija. Ponekad, međutim, metoda ubijanja nije bila tako nježna.
Jedan od liječnika, Herman Pfanmiler, napravio je plan za postupno izgladnjivanje djece. Prema njegovim riječima, to je bio prirodniji i mirniji način od oštre kemijske injekcije koja je zaustavila srce.Godine 1940., kada su njegov objekt u okupiranoj Poljskoj posjetili pripadnici njemačkog tiska, podigao je izgladnjelo dijete i rekao: "Ovo će potrajati još dva-tri dana!"
- Slika ovog debelog, nacerenog čovjeka, s kosturom u mesnatoj ruci, okružen drugom izgladnjelom djecom, još mi je pred očima, prisjetio se kasnije jedan član posjete koji ne može vjerovati viđenome.
Tijekom istog posjeta dr. Pfanmiller se požalio da je primio loše novinare od "stranih agitatora i određene gospode iz Švicarske", misleći na Crveni križ koji je u to vrijeme gotovo godinu dana pokušavao pregledati njegovu bolnicu.
Nakon prvih dana programa, opseg T4 Akcije proširen je na stariju djecu i odrasle osobe s teškoćama u razvoju koji se nisu mogli sami brinuti o sebi.
Na kraju su žrtve poslane izravno u centar za ubijanje na "posebni tretman", koji je tada uključivao tuširanje, zapravo komore s ugljičnim monoksidom prerušene u tuševe. Za ovaj trik "kupanja i dezinfekcije" zaslužan je Buler.
