Kirurzi iz američke savezne države Connecticut odstranili su iznimno velik tumor na jajnicima jedne žene (38), navodi magazin 'Live Science'.
Težio je nevjerojatnih 60 kilograma, a širina mu je bila čak 100 cm.
Srećom, tumor nije bio maligan, ali je zbog svoje veličine bio prijetnja zdravlju žene. Operacija uklanjanja tako velike mase trajala je pet sati, a tim je sačinjavalo 20 medicinara, od čega čak 12 kirurga bolnice Danbury.
Žena je posjetila svog ginekologa nakon što je primijetila nagli porast kilaže. Poslali su je na CT koji je pokazao veliku masu na jajnicima, navodi 'Western Connecticut Health Network'.
- Možemo očekivati tumore do 11 kilograma na tom području, ali onaj od 60 kilograma je vrlo rijetka pojava - kaže ginekolog Dr. Vaagn Andikyan.
Iako je žena s tumorom imala 160 kilograma, doktor navodi da je bila pothranjena jer je tumor pritiskao njenu probavu, a zbog njegove veličine kretala se u invalidskim kolicima.
Noge su joj bile otečene, izvještava CNN uz napomenu da je najkritičniji dio operacije bio onaj kada su tumor odvojili od glavnih žila koje su ga hranile, jer je to destabiliziralo tlak. No, anesteziolozi i kardiolozi su uspjeli napraviti čudo.
Kirurzi su uspješno odstranili tumor, kao i lijevi jajnik, a još jedno je čudo da su joj sačuvali reproduktivne organe jer žena želi imati još djece. Također, uklonili su višak kože. Očekuje se da će se žena oporaviti i neće imati trajne posljedice na zdravlje.
Žena je prije ove operacije obilazila liječnike, kada tumor nije ovoliko narastao, ali su rekli da joj ne mogu pomoći. No, liječnici bolnice Danbury su je operirali i spasili.
Mediji su u nekoliko navrata pisali da su najveći tumori na svijetu težili dvadesetak, tridesetak kilograma, pa se pitamo u koju ovaj kategoriju upada. Nema definitivne potvrde da je ovo najveći tumor ikad operiran, ali je zasigurno jedan od najvećih zabilježenih.

Kirurzi iz američke savezne države Connecticut odstranili su iznimno velik tumor na jajnicima jedne žene (38), navodi magazin 'Live Science'.
Težio je nevjerojatnih 60 kilograma, a širina mu je bila čak 100 cm.
Srećom, tumor nije bio maligan, ali je zbog svoje veličine bio prijetnja zdravlju žene. Operacija uklanjanja tako velike mase trajala je pet sati, a tim je sačinjavalo 20 medicinara, od čega čak 12 kirurga bolnice Danbury.
Žena je posjetila svog ginekologa nakon što je primijetila nagli porast kilaže. Poslali su je na CT koji je pokazao veliku masu na jajnicima, navodi 'Western Connecticut Health Network'.
- Možemo očekivati tumore do 11 kilograma na tom području, ali onaj od 60 kilograma je vrlo rijetka pojava - kaže ginekolog Dr. Vaagn Andikyan.
Iako je žena s tumorom imala 160 kilograma, doktor navodi da je bila pothranjena jer je tumor pritiskao njenu probavu, a zbog njegove veličine kretala se u invalidskim kolicima.
Noge su joj bile otečene, izvještava CNN uz napomenu da je najkritičniji dio operacije bio onaj kada su tumor odvojili od glavnih žila koje su ga hranile, jer je to destabiliziralo tlak. No, anesteziolozi i kardiolozi su uspjeli napraviti čudo.
Kirurzi su uspješno odstranili tumor, kao i lijevi jajnik, a još jedno je čudo da su joj sačuvali reproduktivne organe jer žena želi imati još djece. Također, uklonili su višak kože. Očekuje se da će se žena oporaviti i neće imati trajne posljedice na zdravlje.
Žena je prije ove operacije obilazila liječnike, kada tumor nije ovoliko narastao, ali su rekli da joj ne mogu pomoći. No, liječnici bolnice Danbury su je operirali i spasili.
Mediji su u nekoliko navrata pisali da su najveći tumori na svijetu težili dvadesetak, tridesetak kilograma, pa se pitamo u koju ovaj kategoriju upada. Nema definitivne potvrde da je ovo najveći tumor ikad operiran, ali je zasigurno jedan od najvećih zabilježenih.
