Nova knjiga Davida Attenborougha "Život na našem planetu – Moje svjedočanstvo i vizija budućnosti" stiže danas, 1. listopada, na inozemno tržište, istoga dana kad i istoimeni Netflixov dokumentarni film. Od danas je u Hrvatskoj moguća i prednarudžba hrvatskoga izdanja toga svjetskoga hita koji će izići 15. listopada u nakladi "Školske knjige".

Svaki je dokumentarni film Davida Attenborougha upozorenje čovječanstvu, svaka je njegova knjiga uspješnica jer znalački, mudro i argumentirano upozorava na štetu koju naša civilizacija čini planetu Zemlji. U svojoj najnovijoj knjizi i istoimenu dokumentarnom filmu koji je naručio Svjetski fond za zaštitu prirode (WWF), Attenborough svjedoči o klimatskoj krizi, prognozira što će se događati do kraja 21. stoljeća, ako se prema prirodi nastavimo ponašati onako kako smo to dosad činili, te predlaže rješenja za ispravljanje pogrešaka i modele novog suživota s planetom.

Britanski izdavač Ebury opisao je ovu knjigu kao Attenboroughovu "ostavštinu". "To je Davidovo remek-djelo, knjiga s velikim srcem i opomenom te porukom koju svijet danas treba više nego ikad", naglasio je izdavač Albert DePetrillo.

Najnovija knjiga 94-godišnjeg prirodoslovca, redatelja i producenta podijeljena je u pet cjelina: "Naša najveća pogreška", "Moje svjedočanstvo", "Što nas čeka?", "Vizija budućnosti – Kako svijet ponovno učiniti divljim" i "Naša najveća prilika". Attenborough u knjizi piše o svojoj karijeri dokumentiranja prirodnog svijeta (od 1937. na BBC-u) i iznosi vlastita zapažanja iz prve ruke o propadanju okoliša i bioraznolikosti planeta.

– Živimo udobnim životima u sjeni katastrofe za koju smo sami odgovorni. Tu katastrofu uzrokuje upravo ono što nam omogućuje da živimo udobnim i ugodnim životima. I potpuno je prirodno nastaviti živjeti ovako sve dok ne bude postojao uvjerljiv razlog da to ne činimo i jako dobar plan za neki drugi, alternativan način. Upravo sam zato napisao ovu knjigu, navodi britanska televizijska zvijezda i jedan od najutjecajnijih svjetskih prirodoslovaca.

– Divlje smo zamijenili pitomim. Zemlju smatramo svojim planetom, kojim čovječanstvo upravlja u korist čovječanstva. Malo smo mjesta ostavili za ostatak živog svijeta. Pravi je divlji svijet – onaj koji ne pripada čovjeku – nestao. Pregazili smo Zemlju – tvrdi Attenborough.

Ova knjiga, opremljena s pedesetak fotografija, sustavno bilježi samo manji dio strašne štete koju je čovječanstvo već nanijelo prirodnom svijetu te stvarnu i blisku opasnost da bude mnogo gore, ako odmah nešto ne poduzmemo. No knjiga je i puna nade jer nudi drukčiju budućnost. David Attenborough opisuje kako da počnemo ispravljati stvar: "Sve još možemo popraviti, obuzdati svoj utjecaj, promijeniti smjer našeg razvoja i ponovno postati vrsta koja živi u harmoniji s prirodom. Sve što je potrebno jest volja."

Kako bismo naš planet ponovno učinili stabilnim, moramo mu vratiti bioraznolikost, baš ono što smo mu oduzeli. To je jedini izlaz iz krize koju smo sami stvorili. Svijet ponovno moramo učiniti divljim, poručuje u svojoj novoj knjizi "Život na našem planetu – Moje svjedočanstvo i vizija budućnosti" sir David Attenborough, kojega su gledatelji BBC-a proglasili najvećom živućom britanskom ikonom, a čitatelji časopisa Reader's Digest Britancem kojemu se najviše vjeruje.

Attenborough je ovih dana oborio i Guinnessov rekord: u nešto više od četiri sata skupio je milijun pratitelja na Instagramu, platformi koju je odlučio iskoristiti kako bi senzibilizirao najširu javnost za goruće ekološke probleme i opasnost od kataklizme, o čemu govori u knjizi "Život na našem planetu".

Nova knjiga Davida Attenborougha "Život na našem planetu – Moje svjedočanstvo i vizija budućnosti" stiže danas, 1. listopada, na inozemno tržište, istoga dana kad i istoimeni Netflixov dokumentarni film. Od danas je u Hrvatskoj moguća i prednarudžba hrvatskoga izdanja toga svjetskoga hita koji će izići 15. listopada u nakladi "Školske knjige".

Svaki je dokumentarni film Davida Attenborougha upozorenje čovječanstvu, svaka je njegova knjiga uspješnica jer znalački, mudro i argumentirano upozorava na štetu koju naša civilizacija čini planetu Zemlji. U svojoj najnovijoj knjizi i istoimenu dokumentarnom filmu koji je naručio Svjetski fond za zaštitu prirode (WWF), Attenborough svjedoči o klimatskoj krizi, prognozira što će se događati do kraja 21. stoljeća, ako se prema prirodi nastavimo ponašati onako kako smo to dosad činili, te predlaže rješenja za ispravljanje pogrešaka i modele novog suživota s planetom.

Britanski izdavač Ebury opisao je ovu knjigu kao Attenboroughovu "ostavštinu". "To je Davidovo remek-djelo, knjiga s velikim srcem i opomenom te porukom koju svijet danas treba više nego ikad", naglasio je izdavač Albert DePetrillo.

Najnovija knjiga 94-godišnjeg prirodoslovca, redatelja i producenta podijeljena je u pet cjelina: "Naša najveća pogreška", "Moje svjedočanstvo", "Što nas čeka?", "Vizija budućnosti – Kako svijet ponovno učiniti divljim" i "Naša najveća prilika". Attenborough u knjizi piše o svojoj karijeri dokumentiranja prirodnog svijeta (od 1937. na BBC-u) i iznosi vlastita zapažanja iz prve ruke o propadanju okoliša i bioraznolikosti planeta.

– Živimo udobnim životima u sjeni katastrofe za koju smo sami odgovorni. Tu katastrofu uzrokuje upravo ono što nam omogućuje da živimo udobnim i ugodnim životima. I potpuno je prirodno nastaviti živjeti ovako sve dok ne bude postojao uvjerljiv razlog da to ne činimo i jako dobar plan za neki drugi, alternativan način. Upravo sam zato napisao ovu knjigu, navodi britanska televizijska zvijezda i jedan od najutjecajnijih svjetskih prirodoslovaca.

– Divlje smo zamijenili pitomim. Zemlju smatramo svojim planetom, kojim čovječanstvo upravlja u korist čovječanstva. Malo smo mjesta ostavili za ostatak živog svijeta. Pravi je divlji svijet – onaj koji ne pripada čovjeku – nestao. Pregazili smo Zemlju – tvrdi Attenborough.

Ova knjiga, opremljena s pedesetak fotografija, sustavno bilježi samo manji dio strašne štete koju je čovječanstvo već nanijelo prirodnom svijetu te stvarnu i blisku opasnost da bude mnogo gore, ako odmah nešto ne poduzmemo. No knjiga je i puna nade jer nudi drukčiju budućnost. David Attenborough opisuje kako da počnemo ispravljati stvar: "Sve još možemo popraviti, obuzdati svoj utjecaj, promijeniti smjer našeg razvoja i ponovno postati vrsta koja živi u harmoniji s prirodom. Sve što je potrebno jest volja."

Kako bismo naš planet ponovno učinili stabilnim, moramo mu vratiti bioraznolikost, baš ono što smo mu oduzeli. To je jedini izlaz iz krize koju smo sami stvorili. Svijet ponovno moramo učiniti divljim, poručuje u svojoj novoj knjizi "Život na našem planetu – Moje svjedočanstvo i vizija budućnosti" sir David Attenborough, kojega su gledatelji BBC-a proglasili najvećom živućom britanskom ikonom, a čitatelji časopisa Reader's Digest Britancem kojemu se najviše vjeruje.

Attenborough je ovih dana oborio i Guinnessov rekord: u nešto više od četiri sata skupio je milijun pratitelja na Instagramu, platformi koju je odlučio iskoristiti kako bi senzibilizirao najširu javnost za goruće ekološke probleme i opasnost od kataklizme, o čemu govori u knjizi "Život na našem planetu".

Nova knjiga Davida Attenborougha "Život na našem planetu – Moje svjedočanstvo i vizija budućnosti" stiže danas, 1. listopada, na inozemno tržište, istoga dana kad i istoimeni Netflixov dokumentarni film. Od danas je u Hrvatskoj moguća i prednarudžba hrvatskoga izdanja toga svjetskoga hita koji će izići 15. listopada u nakladi "Školske knjige".
