Dobitnik Oscara i glasni aktivist za životinje Joaquin Phoenix prozvao je Ranč Bearadise, na području Myakka City na Floridi koja se smatra rezervatom, tražeći od objekta da oslobodi dva medvjeda koji su inspirirali Disneyjev film iz 2003. "Brat medvjed".
Phoenix je posudio glas u animiranom filmu koji prikazuje sličnosti medvjeda Brune i Bambija. Phoenix je u pismu pozvao park da ih povuče iz show businessa i prebaci u utočište za životinje.

- Ovi medvjedi zaslužuju bolje od života na cesti, gdje im se oduzima sve što im je prirodno i važno, a ako se stavite na njihovo mjesto, siguran sam da biste to i vidjeli", napisao je Phoenix u pismo. “Iz prve ruke znate da su medvjedi znatiželjne, složene životinje koje se vole penjati, kopati, tražiti hranu i igrati se.
Njihov akutni osjet mirisa i šape veličine tanjura razvili su se tako da su mogli tražiti prijatelje i hranu na velikim udaljenostima, ali te pažljivo izbrušene osobine troše se u okružnom krugu sajmova, gdje se odbacuju u transportne kaveze kad nisu zabavljeni navlačenjem obruča nad glavom i nošenjem košarkaških lopti pred mnoštvom stranaca.
Medvjedi se, prema web stranici, iznajmljuju za vjenčanja, "rođendanske zabave" i drugo, te posuđuju za filmsku i TV produkciju. Prema Facebook stranici ranča, Bruno i Bambi korišteni su za stvaranje likova Kenai i Koda. Phoenix je posudio glas Kenai.

- Ovi medvjedi zaslužuju bolje od života na cesti, gdje im se oduzima sve što im je prirodno i važno, a ako se stavite na njihovo mjesto, siguran sam da biste to i vidjeli", napisao je Phoenix u pismo. “Iz prve ruke znate da su medvjedi znatiželjne, složene životinje koje se vole penjati, kopati, tražiti hranu i igrati se.
Njihov akutni osjet mirisa i šape veličine tanjura razvili su se tako da su mogli tražiti prijatelje i hranu na velikim udaljenostima, ali te pažljivo izbrušene osobine troše se u okružnom krugu sajmova, gdje se odbacuju u transportne kaveze kad nisu zabavljeni navlačenjem obruča nad glavom i nošenjem košarkaških lopti pred mnoštvom stranaca.
Medvjedi se, prema web stranici, iznajmljuju za vjenčanja, "rođendanske zabave" i drugo, te posuđuju za filmsku i TV produkciju. Prema Facebook stranici ranča, Bruno i Bambi korišteni su za stvaranje likova Kenai i Koda. Phoenix je posudio glas Kenai.

Dobitnik Oscara i glasni aktivist za životinje Joaquin Phoenix prozvao je Ranč Bearadise, na području Myakka City na Floridi koja se smatra rezervatom, tražeći od objekta da oslobodi dva medvjeda koji su inspirirali Disneyjev film iz 2003. "Brat medvjed".
Phoenix je posudio glas u animiranom filmu koji prikazuje sličnosti medvjeda Brune i Bambija. Phoenix je u pismu pozvao park da ih povuče iz show businessa i prebaci u utočište za životinje.
