Jedna od prvih asocijacija, kad je riječ o vinima sorte plavac mali, svakako je poluotok Pelješac. Ova autohtona hrvatska sorta udomila se na južnim strminama kamenih lokaliteta Pelješca, pa je nekako i logičan slijed u proizvodnji vlastitog vina mladoga pelješkog vinara Iva Špaletu naveo na proizvodnju vrhunskoga kvalitetnog vina plavac mali.
No obiteljska kuća Iva Špalete u Kuni Pelješkoj raritetna je zbog jedne zanimljivosti. Na terasi, naime, raste stara loza za koju obitelj vjeruje da je zasigurno jedna od najstarijih loza plavca malog na Pelješcu, po sjećanjima najstarijih ukućana zasađena još početkom 19. stoljeća.
- Loza je izvedena između dviju kuća koje su gradili moj pradjed i šukundjed. Svoje je korijene loza pustila u komadić zemlje između dvije stare obiteljske građevine koje su kompletno izgorjele u Drugom svjetskom ratu. Loza plavca malog polako se sama obnovila te i dalje daje plavkaste bobice - kaže mladi vinar Ivo Špaleta koji pod vjerojatno najstarijom lozom plavca malog u svom podrumu radi dvije vrste plavca malog “Špaleta”, čiju etiketu krasi upravo slika stare obiteljske kuće u kojoj se još čuvaju obiteljske uspomene.
Naime, pelješki vinar iz Kune, koji se prije desetak godina, naslonjen na dugogodišnju vinarsku obiteljsku tradiciju, ozbiljnije počeo baviti vinogradarstvom i čija su vina na enološkim natjecanjima već pokupila nagrade, priželjkuje da se s loze uzmu uzorci koji bi se ispitali na Zavodu za vinarstvo i vinogradarstvo, prvenstveno zbog odgovora na pitanje je li loza slobodna od virusa.
Možda bi se tada saznalo nešto više o oko 150 godina starom čokotu plavca malog, zasigurno jednom od najstarijih na području Kune, koji je još uvijek u rodnoj kondiciji.
Inače, vinar Špaleta odnjegovao je u starom obiteljskom podrumu podno stare loze dva izvrsna vina, upravo sorte plavac mali - kvalitetni i vrhunski plavac mali “Špaleta”, dobro prihvaćene u krugovima ljubitelja i poznavatelja vina.

Jedna od prvih asocijacija, kad je riječ o vinima sorte plavac mali, svakako je poluotok Pelješac. Ova autohtona hrvatska sorta udomila se na južnim strminama kamenih lokaliteta Pelješca, pa je nekako i logičan slijed u proizvodnji vlastitog vina mladoga pelješkog vinara Iva Špaletu naveo na proizvodnju vrhunskoga kvalitetnog vina plavac mali.
No obiteljska kuća Iva Špalete u Kuni Pelješkoj raritetna je zbog jedne zanimljivosti. Na terasi, naime, raste stara loza za koju obitelj vjeruje da je zasigurno jedna od najstarijih loza plavca malog na Pelješcu, po sjećanjima najstarijih ukućana zasađena još početkom 19. stoljeća.
- Loza je izvedena između dviju kuća koje su gradili moj pradjed i šukundjed. Svoje je korijene loza pustila u komadić zemlje između dvije stare obiteljske građevine koje su kompletno izgorjele u Drugom svjetskom ratu. Loza plavca malog polako se sama obnovila te i dalje daje plavkaste bobice - kaže mladi vinar Ivo Špaleta koji pod vjerojatno najstarijom lozom plavca malog u svom podrumu radi dvije vrste plavca malog “Špaleta”, čiju etiketu krasi upravo slika stare obiteljske kuće u kojoj se još čuvaju obiteljske uspomene.
Naime, pelješki vinar iz Kune, koji se prije desetak godina, naslonjen na dugogodišnju vinarsku obiteljsku tradiciju, ozbiljnije počeo baviti vinogradarstvom i čija su vina na enološkim natjecanjima već pokupila nagrade, priželjkuje da se s loze uzmu uzorci koji bi se ispitali na Zavodu za vinarstvo i vinogradarstvo, prvenstveno zbog odgovora na pitanje je li loza slobodna od virusa.
Možda bi se tada saznalo nešto više o oko 150 godina starom čokotu plavca malog, zasigurno jednom od najstarijih na području Kune, koji je još uvijek u rodnoj kondiciji.
Inače, vinar Špaleta odnjegovao je u starom obiteljskom podrumu podno stare loze dva izvrsna vina, upravo sorte plavac mali - kvalitetni i vrhunski plavac mali “Špaleta”, dobro prihvaćene u krugovima ljubitelja i poznavatelja vina.
