Andrea Čikotić iz Splita nakon srednje škole upisala je Ekonomski fakultet i na njemu se zadržala tri godine, ako ne računamo zadnji semestar koji je provela na Erasmusu u Barceloni. Međutim, nakon toga se odlučila na završetak studiranja u inozemstvu. Upisala je diplomski studiji u Danskoj, a svoju odluku ne samo da nije požalila, nego i ne planira tako skori povratak u Hrvatsku, a sada već živi u Londonu i ne može se odlučiti gdje joj je bilo bolje.

- Za odluku o studiranju diplomskog studija u Danskoj bile su ključne dvije stvari. Inspirirana životom u Barceloni gdje sam odradila Erasmus praksu, odlučila sam da želim nastaviti živjet i studirati u inozemstvu. Druga stvar uključuje turistički posjet Danskoj koji je definitivno imao najveći utjecaj na moju odluku jer mi se apsolutno sve svidjelo. Čak je i vrijeme bilo toplo i sunčano za vrijeme mog boravka, kaže Andrea kroz smijeh i napominje da joj je dodatno olakšalo što ju je brat koji u Danskoj živi već šest godina u sve uputio.

Prvo se dvoumila između Danske i Španjolske koja joj je prirasla srcu, ali je odluku donijela na osnovu nekoliko praktičnih razloga.

- Prva prednost je što je studiranje u Danskoj besplatno i država nudi stipendiju od 5000 kuna studentima iz Europske Unije ako rade 43 sata mjesečno što je je bilo jako atraktivno. Uz to me zainteresirao Problem Based Learning (PBL), model koji nudi Aalborg University što predstavlja učenje u grupama temeljeno na projektima i zato sam se ipak odlučila za studij Internacionalnog Marketinga u Aalborgu.

Andrea je prezadovoljna fakultetom i studiranjem, posebno jer se od studenata očekuje učenje koje nije bazirano na 'bubanju na pamet'.

- Rad u grupama je olakšao socijalni dio selidbe jer je bilo lakše upoznati ljude i steći prijatelje jer smo konstantno bili zajedno te je učenje bilo puno jednostavnije i zabavnije. Ponekad bi imali individualne ispite, no oni su također bili bazirani na stvarnom, životnom primjeru, gdje bi onda trebali opisati svoje ideje i primjere primjene konkretnog poslovnog modela. Ponekad bi na predavanja stigli i poduzetnici iz različitih Skandinavskih firmi koji bi nam prepričavali svoja životna i poslovna iskustva te bi fakultet organizirao posjet firmama. Odnos profesora i studenata je bio predivan. Svi bi se zvali prvim imenima te je atmosfera na ispitu bila potpuno opuštena te im je više bilo važno na koji načine razmišljamo nego znamo li izrecitirati definiciju Marketinga.

U društvenom životu pomoglo joj je i to što je živjela sa šest cimera, što je naravno zgodnije i iz financijske perspektive.

- Što se tiče nalaženja stana, odlučila sam se naći sobu unaprijed putem interneta te sam imala sreće s tim jer sam pronašla odličan kolektiv s predivnim ljudima u centru Aalborga za odličnu cijenu. Cijena sobe u Aalborgu varira od otprilike 300 do 500 eura, a u Copenhagenu je naravno dosta skuplje te se za sobu može platiti 800 eura, ako ne i više, što je bilo izvan mog budžeta. Dosta studenata je pronašlo sobu putem interneta te postoje razne stranice za to, no isto tako su se neki odlučili doći u grad, unajmiti hostel ili privremeni smještaj dok ne pronađu onaj koji im odgovara.

Andrea nam kaže da je u Danskoj work-life balance je iznimno važan, tako da je stigla sve – i studirati, raditi, družiti se i putovati. U usporedbi s Hrvatskom, u Danskoj su kućna druženja nešto popularnija. S prijateljima se uvijek družila po stanovima gdje bi kuhali večere nekoliko puta tjedno. Isto tako se i izlazilo, ali u manjoj mjeri.

Iako joj je u Danskoj bilo prekrasno i sve bi opet ponovila, nakon fakulteta je odlučila promijeniti okruženje i pronaći posao u Londonu.

-Odlučila sam se prvo vratiti i boraviti neko vrijeme s obitelji i prijateljima u Splitu prije nego pronađen posao. Jako sam sretna zbog te odluke te je bilo super provesti malo vremena doma sa svojima! U međuvremenu je i započela pandemija, tako da mi je draže što sam taj period provela u Splitu.

Dok je bila u Danskoj živjela je u Aalborgu koji je treći po veličini grad zato što je bio dosta povoljniji od Copenhagena te joj je bilo jednostavnije živjeti u manjem gradu za vrijeme studiranja. Za London zato kaže, da je skroz druga priča.

- Život u tako velikoj metropoli je zaista nešto posebno, te sam odlazak do dućana može biti avantura. Mada je lockdown znao biti izazovan, s popuštanjem mjera i proljećem sve počinje biti zanimljivo i uzbudljivo.

Za kraj nam kaže da koliko god je teško biti udaljen od obitelji i prijatelja, onih par puta godišnje kada se vide stvarno iskoriste to dragocjeno vrijeme zajedno i onda te uspomene nosi sa sobom gdje god da je. 

- Život u drugoj kulturi i izvan svoje komfor zone je lifestyle koji mi malo više odgovara, barem za sada. Planiram provesti neko vrijeme u Londonu, a onda tko zna. U glavi su mi neki krajevi gdje ljeto traje cijelu godinu. Ne vjerujem da će me put odvesti Hrvatskoj tako skoro, ali nikad ne reci nikad.

Andrea Čikotić iz Splita nakon srednje škole upisala je Ekonomski fakultet i na njemu se zadržala tri godine, ako ne računamo zadnji semestar koji je provela na Erasmusu u Barceloni. Međutim, nakon toga se odlučila na završetak studiranja u inozemstvu. Upisala je diplomski studiji u Danskoj, a svoju odluku ne samo da nije požalila, nego i ne planira tako skori povratak u Hrvatsku, a sada već živi u Londonu i ne može se odlučiti gdje joj je bilo bolje.

- Za odluku o studiranju diplomskog studija u Danskoj bile su ključne dvije stvari. Inspirirana životom u Barceloni gdje sam odradila Erasmus praksu, odlučila sam da želim nastaviti živjet i studirati u inozemstvu. Druga stvar uključuje turistički posjet Danskoj koji je definitivno imao najveći utjecaj na moju odluku jer mi se apsolutno sve svidjelo. Čak je i vrijeme bilo toplo i sunčano za vrijeme mog boravka, kaže Andrea kroz smijeh i napominje da joj je dodatno olakšalo što ju je brat koji u Danskoj živi već šest godina u sve uputio.

Prvo se dvoumila između Danske i Španjolske koja joj je prirasla srcu, ali je odluku donijela na osnovu nekoliko praktičnih razloga.

- Prva prednost je što je studiranje u Danskoj besplatno i država nudi stipendiju od 5000 kuna studentima iz Europske Unije ako rade 43 sata mjesečno što je je bilo jako atraktivno. Uz to me zainteresirao Problem Based Learning (PBL), model koji nudi Aalborg University što predstavlja učenje u grupama temeljeno na projektima i zato sam se ipak odlučila za studij Internacionalnog Marketinga u Aalborgu.

Andrea je prezadovoljna fakultetom i studiranjem, posebno jer se od studenata očekuje učenje koje nije bazirano na 'bubanju na pamet'.

- Rad u grupama je olakšao socijalni dio selidbe jer je bilo lakše upoznati ljude i steći prijatelje jer smo konstantno bili zajedno te je učenje bilo puno jednostavnije i zabavnije. Ponekad bi imali individualne ispite, no oni su također bili bazirani na stvarnom, životnom primjeru, gdje bi onda trebali opisati svoje ideje i primjere primjene konkretnog poslovnog modela. Ponekad bi na predavanja stigli i poduzetnici iz različitih Skandinavskih firmi koji bi nam prepričavali svoja životna i poslovna iskustva te bi fakultet organizirao posjet firmama. Odnos profesora i studenata je bio predivan. Svi bi se zvali prvim imenima te je atmosfera na ispitu bila potpuno opuštena te im je više bilo važno na koji načine razmišljamo nego znamo li izrecitirati definiciju Marketinga.

U društvenom životu pomoglo joj je i to što je živjela sa šest cimera, što je naravno zgodnije i iz financijske perspektive.

- Što se tiče nalaženja stana, odlučila sam se naći sobu unaprijed putem interneta te sam imala sreće s tim jer sam pronašla odličan kolektiv s predivnim ljudima u centru Aalborga za odličnu cijenu. Cijena sobe u Aalborgu varira od otprilike 300 do 500 eura, a u Copenhagenu je naravno dosta skuplje te se za sobu može platiti 800 eura, ako ne i više, što je bilo izvan mog budžeta. Dosta studenata je pronašlo sobu putem interneta te postoje razne stranice za to, no isto tako su se neki odlučili doći u grad, unajmiti hostel ili privremeni smještaj dok ne pronađu onaj koji im odgovara.

Andrea nam kaže da je u Danskoj work-life balance je iznimno važan, tako da je stigla sve – i studirati, raditi, družiti se i putovati. U usporedbi s Hrvatskom, u Danskoj su kućna druženja nešto popularnija. S prijateljima se uvijek družila po stanovima gdje bi kuhali večere nekoliko puta tjedno. Isto tako se i izlazilo, ali u manjoj mjeri.

Iako joj je u Danskoj bilo prekrasno i sve bi opet ponovila, nakon fakulteta je odlučila promijeniti okruženje i pronaći posao u Londonu.

-Odlučila sam se prvo vratiti i boraviti neko vrijeme s obitelji i prijateljima u Splitu prije nego pronađen posao. Jako sam sretna zbog te odluke te je bilo super provesti malo vremena doma sa svojima! U međuvremenu je i započela pandemija, tako da mi je draže što sam taj period provela u Splitu.

Dok je bila u Danskoj živjela je u Aalborgu koji je treći po veličini grad zato što je bio dosta povoljniji od Copenhagena te joj je bilo jednostavnije živjeti u manjem gradu za vrijeme studiranja. Za London zato kaže, da je skroz druga priča.

- Život u tako velikoj metropoli je zaista nešto posebno, te sam odlazak do dućana može biti avantura. Mada je lockdown znao biti izazovan, s popuštanjem mjera i proljećem sve počinje biti zanimljivo i uzbudljivo.

Za kraj nam kaže da koliko god je teško biti udaljen od obitelji i prijatelja, onih par puta godišnje kada se vide stvarno iskoriste to dragocjeno vrijeme zajedno i onda te uspomene nosi sa sobom gdje god da je. 

- Život u drugoj kulturi i izvan svoje komfor zone je lifestyle koji mi malo više odgovara, barem za sada. Planiram provesti neko vrijeme u Londonu, a onda tko zna. U glavi su mi neki krajevi gdje ljeto traje cijelu godinu. Ne vjerujem da će me put odvesti Hrvatskoj tako skoro, ali nikad ne reci nikad.
