Suočavanje s ponavljajućim epizodama migrene, koje se smatraju jednim od najčešćih zdravstvenih problema na svijetu, sve je samo ne ugodno.

Dostupne su određene metode koje pomažu ublažiti simptome, ali ove su metode često povezane s neželjenim nuspojavama - ili jednostavno nisu dovoljno učinkovite. Mnogi znanstvenici stoga ulažu golemu energiju u pronalaženju doista učinkovite metode za suzbijanje migrene.

Tim znanstvenika s američkog sveučilišta u Arizoni, kojeg predvodi dr. Mohab Ibrahim došao je do vrlo zanimljivog nalaza koji bi mogao imati značajan utjecaj na liječenje bolesnika s migrenom.

Naime, tim je otkrio da terapija zelenim svjetlom može biti vrlo učinkovita u ublažavanju boli karakteristične za napade migrene, te pomaže u smanjenju učestalosti epizoda migrene.

To je prva klinička studija do danas koja je ispitivala utjecaj zelenog svjetla na ljude koji pate od migrene. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 29 ljudi.

Među njima su bile osobe koje se bore s epizodnim napadima migrene i osobe s kroničnom migrenom (o kroničnoj migreni govorimo kada je bol prisutna 15 dana u mjesecu ili više). Nakon terapije zelenim svjetlom, prosječni broj dana u mjesecu s migrenskim glavoboljama smanjio se kod čak 60 posto sudionika.

Za većinu njih to je značilo više od 50 posto smanjenja broja dana koji su patili od glavobolje. Pozitivne promjene povezane s ovim aspektom bile su posebno izražene kod osoba s epizodnim napadima migrene.

28 od 29 ljudi kupilo je uređaj

Sudionicima je u početku rečeno da će morati vratiti uređaje za terapiju zelenim svjetlom koji su im posuđeni na kraju studije. No kad im se napokon ponudila prilika da kupe uređaje, čak 28 ljudi odlučilo se na to, što je zasigurno vrlo znakovit pokazatelj uspjeha terapije.

Mogućnost ublažavanja simptoma migrene zelenim svjetlom mogla bi uvelike smanjiti potrebu za primjenom različitih lijekova, osobito onih protiv bolova, pa tako i rizik od neželjenih nuspojava. Tijekom studije ne samo da nisu otkriveni takvi učinci, već je terapija zelenim svjetlom bila povezana i s dodatnim pozitivnim učincima.

Između ostalog, pokazalo se da zeleno svjetlo može pomoći i kod problema sa spavanjem.

Istraživanje je provedeno u dva dijela. Prvih 10 tjedana sudionici su bili podvrgnuti terapiji bijelim svjetlom, nakon čega je uslijedilo dvotjedno razdoblje redovitog izlaganja zelenom svjetlu nakon dvotjedne pauze.

Tijekom studije sudionici su ispunili standardne upitnike dizajnirane za praćenje broja i intenziteta glavobolje i utjecaja napada migrene na kvalitetu života.

Analiza ovih upitnika otkrila je da se intenzitet boli nakon terapije zelenim svjetlom smanjio u prosjeku za čak 60 posto. Istodobno, zeleno svjetlo utjecalo je na skraćivanje vremena prosječnog napada migrene. Kvaliteta života sudionika tako se značajno poboljšala.

Istraživači naglašavaju da je odabir odgovarajućeg intenziteta vrlo važan u terapiji zelenim svjetlom, a istodobno je potrebno prilagoditi trajanje svake sesije.

Kao i kod lijekova, postoji "idealna doza", pa je važno da se terapija provodi pod stručnim nadzorom.

Suočavanje s ponavljajućim epizodama migrene, koje se smatraju jednim od najčešćih zdravstvenih problema na svijetu, sve je samo ne ugodno.

Dostupne su određene metode koje pomažu ublažiti simptome, ali ove su metode često povezane s neželjenim nuspojavama - ili jednostavno nisu dovoljno učinkovite. Mnogi znanstvenici stoga ulažu golemu energiju u pronalaženju doista učinkovite metode za suzbijanje migrene.

Tim znanstvenika s američkog sveučilišta u Arizoni, kojeg predvodi dr. Mohab Ibrahim došao je do vrlo zanimljivog nalaza koji bi mogao imati značajan utjecaj na liječenje bolesnika s migrenom.

Naime, tim je otkrio da terapija zelenim svjetlom može biti vrlo učinkovita u ublažavanju boli karakteristične za napade migrene, te pomaže u smanjenju učestalosti epizoda migrene.

To je prva klinička studija do danas koja je ispitivala utjecaj zelenog svjetla na ljude koji pate od migrene. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 29 ljudi.

Među njima su bile osobe koje se bore s epizodnim napadima migrene i osobe s kroničnom migrenom (o kroničnoj migreni govorimo kada je bol prisutna 15 dana u mjesecu ili više). Nakon terapije zelenim svjetlom, prosječni broj dana u mjesecu s migrenskim glavoboljama smanjio se kod čak 60 posto sudionika.

Za većinu njih to je značilo više od 50 posto smanjenja broja dana koji su patili od glavobolje. Pozitivne promjene povezane s ovim aspektom bile su posebno izražene kod osoba s epizodnim napadima migrene.

28 od 29 ljudi kupilo je uređaj

Sudionicima je u početku rečeno da će morati vratiti uređaje za terapiju zelenim svjetlom koji su im posuđeni na kraju studije. No kad im se napokon ponudila prilika da kupe uređaje, čak 28 ljudi odlučilo se na to, što je zasigurno vrlo znakovit pokazatelj uspjeha terapije.

Mogućnost ublažavanja simptoma migrene zelenim svjetlom mogla bi uvelike smanjiti potrebu za primjenom različitih lijekova, osobito onih protiv bolova, pa tako i rizik od neželjenih nuspojava. Tijekom studije ne samo da nisu otkriveni takvi učinci, već je terapija zelenim svjetlom bila povezana i s dodatnim pozitivnim učincima.

Između ostalog, pokazalo se da zeleno svjetlo može pomoći i kod problema sa spavanjem.

Istraživanje je provedeno u dva dijela. Prvih 10 tjedana sudionici su bili podvrgnuti terapiji bijelim svjetlom, nakon čega je uslijedilo dvotjedno razdoblje redovitog izlaganja zelenom svjetlu nakon dvotjedne pauze.

Tijekom studije sudionici su ispunili standardne upitnike dizajnirane za praćenje broja i intenziteta glavobolje i utjecaja napada migrene na kvalitetu života.

Analiza ovih upitnika otkrila je da se intenzitet boli nakon terapije zelenim svjetlom smanjio u prosjeku za čak 60 posto. Istodobno, zeleno svjetlo utjecalo je na skraćivanje vremena prosječnog napada migrene. Kvaliteta života sudionika tako se značajno poboljšala.

Istraživači naglašavaju da je odabir odgovarajućeg intenziteta vrlo važan u terapiji zelenim svjetlom, a istodobno je potrebno prilagoditi trajanje svake sesije.

Kao i kod lijekova, postoji "idealna doza", pa je važno da se terapija provodi pod stručnim nadzorom.
