Iako ne postoji magični eliksir kad je riječ o prehrani, postoji jedno piće koje bi samo po sebi moglo imati vrlo moćan učinak na smanjenje trbušne masti.

Skrivajući se duboko u unutrašnjosti vašeg trbuha, visceralna masnoća može uzrokovati niz zdravstvenih problema, od dijabetesa do srčanih bolesti. Stoga je izuzetno važno iskorijeniti te opasne naslage masti. Iako ne postoji magični eliksir kad je riječ o prehrani, postoji jedno piće koje bi samo po sebi moglo imati vrlo moćan učinak na smanjenje trbušne masti, piše Živim.

Starih se navika teško riješiti i vaša svakodnevna šalica čaja sigurno nije nešto oko čega ste voljni pregovarati. No, zamijenite li čaj koji inače pijete (ili drugo omiljeno piće) za šalicu zelenog čaja, mogli biste imati velike koristi po pitanju trbušne masti. Prema istraživanju objavljenom u časopisu Obesity, mješavina zelenog čaja može pomoći u učinkovitijem sagorijevanju masti, kao i u snižavanju rizika za razvoj kardiovaskularnih bolesti.

Autori studije odlučili su testirati antioksidanse iz zelenog čaja na ljudima. Pritom su ispitanici zadržali svoje navike prehrane i tjelovježbe tijekom trajanja studije. Zeleni čaj sadrži skupinu antioksidansa poznatu pod nazivom polifenoli, koji čine do 30 posto njegove težine u suhom obliku. Većina tih polifenola su flavanoli, poznati kao katehini, za koje iz dana u dan ima sve više dokaza da, između ostalih dobrobiti za zdravlje, pridonose smanjenju tjelesne težine.

Osim katehina, zeleni čaj sadrži i kofein, a on se smatra stimulansom koji pospješuje sagorijevanje masti, potrošnju energije i poboljšava izvedbene sposobnosti u sportskoj aktivnosti. Imajući to na umu, znanstvenici su na uzorku od 270 muškaraca i žena iz Japana analizirali učinkovitost zelenog čaja u smanjenju masnih naslaga.

Za potrebe studije ispitanici su uzimali ekstrakt zelenog čaja koji sadrži ili 583 mg katehina ili 96 mg katehina (kontrolna grupa) dnevno. Studija je bila dvostruko slijepa, što znači da niti ispitanici niti znanstvenici nisu znali što sudionici primaju sve do završetka kliničkog ispitivanja.

Pokazalo se da je kod skupine koja je uzimala veću količinu katehina došlo do većeg smanjenja visceralne masti. Što je još važnije, autori su otkrili da je ovaj topli napitak s vremenom smanjio tvrdokornu trbušnu masnoću u još značajnijoj mjeri.

Uz to, katehini su doveli i do sniženja sistoličkog krvnog tlaka te razine lošeg kolesterola, a jedno i drugo smatra se prekursorima srčanih bolesti. Možda je najzanimljivije to što su se svi ti pozitivni učinci pokazali unatoč tome što su ispitanici zadržali svoje uobičajene životne navike.

Ipak, treba naglasiti da većina studija, uključujući i ovu, koristi ekstrakt zelenog čaja, a ne zeleni čaj u obliku uobičajenog napitka. To je važno naglasiti jer je ekstrakt zelenog čaja obično mnogo moćniji od šalice zelenog čaja. To ne znači da sadržaj katehina iz ekstrakta zelenog čaja ne možete dostići pijući čaj, već samo znači da biste ga morali piti u većoj količini. Stručnjaci tvrde da bi četiri šalice dnevno trebale biti dovoljno za ovakve učinke, no savjetuju i da se, za još bolje rezultate, pijenje zelenog čaja spoji za zdravom prehranom i redovitom tjelovježbom.

Starih se navika teško riješiti i vaša svakodnevna šalica čaja sigurno nije nešto oko čega ste voljni pregovarati. No, zamijenite li čaj koji inače pijete (ili drugo omiljeno piće) za šalicu zelenog čaja, mogli biste imati velike koristi po pitanju trbušne masti. Prema istraživanju objavljenom u časopisu Obesity, mješavina zelenog čaja može pomoći u učinkovitijem sagorijevanju masti, kao i u snižavanju rizika za razvoj kardiovaskularnih bolesti.

Autori studije odlučili su testirati antioksidanse iz zelenog čaja na ljudima. Pritom su ispitanici zadržali svoje navike prehrane i tjelovježbe tijekom trajanja studije. Zeleni čaj sadrži skupinu antioksidansa poznatu pod nazivom polifenoli, koji čine do 30 posto njegove težine u suhom obliku. Većina tih polifenola su flavanoli, poznati kao katehini, za koje iz dana u dan ima sve više dokaza da, između ostalih dobrobiti za zdravlje, pridonose smanjenju tjelesne težine.

Osim katehina, zeleni čaj sadrži i kofein, a on se smatra stimulansom koji pospješuje sagorijevanje masti, potrošnju energije i poboljšava izvedbene sposobnosti u sportskoj aktivnosti. Imajući to na umu, znanstvenici su na uzorku od 270 muškaraca i žena iz Japana analizirali učinkovitost zelenog čaja u smanjenju masnih naslaga.

Za potrebe studije ispitanici su uzimali ekstrakt zelenog čaja koji sadrži ili 583 mg katehina ili 96 mg katehina (kontrolna grupa) dnevno. Studija je bila dvostruko slijepa, što znači da niti ispitanici niti znanstvenici nisu znali što sudionici primaju sve do završetka kliničkog ispitivanja.

Pokazalo se da je kod skupine koja je uzimala veću količinu katehina došlo do većeg smanjenja visceralne masti. Što je još važnije, autori su otkrili da je ovaj topli napitak s vremenom smanjio tvrdokornu trbušnu masnoću u još značajnijoj mjeri.

Uz to, katehini su doveli i do sniženja sistoličkog krvnog tlaka te razine lošeg kolesterola, a jedno i drugo smatra se prekursorima srčanih bolesti. Možda je najzanimljivije to što su se svi ti pozitivni učinci pokazali unatoč tome što su ispitanici zadržali svoje uobičajene životne navike.

Ipak, treba naglasiti da većina studija, uključujući i ovu, koristi ekstrakt zelenog čaja, a ne zeleni čaj u obliku uobičajenog napitka. To je važno naglasiti jer je ekstrakt zelenog čaja obično mnogo moćniji od šalice zelenog čaja. To ne znači da sadržaj katehina iz ekstrakta zelenog čaja ne možete dostići pijući čaj, već samo znači da biste ga morali piti u većoj količini. Stručnjaci tvrde da bi četiri šalice dnevno trebale biti dovoljno za ovakve učinke, no savjetuju i da se, za još bolje rezultate, pijenje zelenog čaja spoji za zdravom prehranom i redovitom tjelovježbom.
