Izgledi da će osobe koje nose dioptrijske naočale zaraziti koronavirusom triput su manji nego u onih koje ih ne nose, iz jednostavnog razloga jer rjeđe trljaju oči, pokazalo je manje indijsko istraživanje provedeno ne 304 osobe u dobi između 10 i 80 godina koje su prijavile simptome virusa.
Devetnaest posto ispitanika odgovorilo je da naočale nosi većinu vremena najmanje osam sati dnevno.
Studija je pokazala da je rizik od zaraze covidom-19 bio otprilike dva do tri puta manji među populacijom koja nosi naočale, u odnosu na one koje ih ne nose, prenio je Sunday Telegraph.
Pojedinci su navikli dodirivati lice prosječno 23 puta u jednom satu, a oči prosječno triput na sat, rezultati su indijskog istraživanja.
Znanstvenici koji su ga proveli kažu da dugotrajna navika nošenja naočala može spriječiti opetovano dodirivanje i trljanje očiju, a samim time i potencijalni prijenos virusa.
Prošle su godine kineski stručnjaci ustanovili da je među pacijentima s covidom-19 u općoj populaciji bilo pet puta manje osoba s dioptrijskim naočalama.
Grupa znanstvenika iz bolnice Sveučilišta Nanchang je pojasnila kako vjeruje da je to zato što se ACE-2 receptori, na koje se virus 'zakači' da bi ušao u organizam i zarazio ljudske stanice, nalaze u području očne jabučice.
Autori studije oči smatraju važnim kanalom koji omogućuje prodor SARS-CoVa-2 u organizam.
"Uočili smo da su pacijenti s covidom koji su tijekom duljeg vremena svakodnevno nosili dioptrijske naočale bili relativno rijetki, što bi mogao biti preliminarni dokaz da su takve osobe manje podložne zarazi ovim virusom", napisali su autori studije.
Istaknuli su da bi naočale u osoba koje ih svakodnevno nose u raznim društvenih prigodama mogle postati zaštitni faktor koji će u njihovu slučaju smanjiti opasnost od prijenosa virusa putem očiju i u konačnici ih možda poštedjeti zaraze covidom.

Izgledi da će osobe koje nose dioptrijske naočale zaraziti koronavirusom triput su manji nego u onih koje ih ne nose, iz jednostavnog razloga jer rjeđe trljaju oči, pokazalo je manje indijsko istraživanje provedeno ne 304 osobe u dobi između 10 i 80 godina koje su prijavile simptome virusa.
Devetnaest posto ispitanika odgovorilo je da naočale nosi većinu vremena najmanje osam sati dnevno.
Studija je pokazala da je rizik od zaraze covidom-19 bio otprilike dva do tri puta manji među populacijom koja nosi naočale, u odnosu na one koje ih ne nose, prenio je Sunday Telegraph.
Pojedinci su navikli dodirivati lice prosječno 23 puta u jednom satu, a oči prosječno triput na sat, rezultati su indijskog istraživanja.
Znanstvenici koji su ga proveli kažu da dugotrajna navika nošenja naočala može spriječiti opetovano dodirivanje i trljanje očiju, a samim time i potencijalni prijenos virusa.
Prošle su godine kineski stručnjaci ustanovili da je među pacijentima s covidom-19 u općoj populaciji bilo pet puta manje osoba s dioptrijskim naočalama.
Grupa znanstvenika iz bolnice Sveučilišta Nanchang je pojasnila kako vjeruje da je to zato što se ACE-2 receptori, na koje se virus 'zakači' da bi ušao u organizam i zarazio ljudske stanice, nalaze u području očne jabučice.
Autori studije oči smatraju važnim kanalom koji omogućuje prodor SARS-CoVa-2 u organizam.
"Uočili smo da su pacijenti s covidom koji su tijekom duljeg vremena svakodnevno nosili dioptrijske naočale bili relativno rijetki, što bi mogao biti preliminarni dokaz da su takve osobe manje podložne zarazi ovim virusom", napisali su autori studije.
Istaknuli su da bi naočale u osoba koje ih svakodnevno nose u raznim društvenih prigodama mogle postati zaštitni faktor koji će u njihovu slučaju smanjiti opasnost od prijenosa virusa putem očiju i u konačnici ih možda poštedjeti zaraze covidom.
