Prema istraživanjima, umjerena konzumacija alkohola nosi velike zdravstvene beneficije. Međutim, ako se zlouporabljuje, može uzrokovati razne zdravstvene probleme i biti vaš najveći neprijatelj, piše Kreni Zdravo.

Istraživanja kojima se pokušala dokučiti vrsta i količina alkohola koja je dobra za čovjeka i granica nakon koje alkohol postaje štetan nisu urodili plodom. Ali, njima su znanstvenici uočili neočekivanu povezanost alkohola sa zdravljem prostate.

PIVO

Znanstvenici iz Oregona u SAD-u zaključili su da ksantohumol, sastojak iz pive, vrši zaštitu od raka prostate i benigne hiperplazije prostate. Ovaj biljni spoj ima sposobnost poticanja stanične smrti, čime igra ulogu u prevenciji širenja raka. Također blokira djelovanje testosterona, čime smanjuje rast tumorskih stanica, piše Kreni Zdravo.

- Dodavanje ksantohumola u staničnu kulturu blokira signal proteina i djeluje na usporavanje rasta benigne hiperplazije prostate i malignih stanica raka prostate., rekla je Emily Ho, glavna znanstvenica spomenutog projekta.

Nad ksantohumolom se vrše dodatna istraživanja kako bi se saznalo je li efektan i izvan laboratorijskih uvjeta. 

ALKOHOL I PROSTATA

Dr. J. Kellogg Parsons, profesor Odjela za urološku onkologiju u Sveobuhvatnom centru za rak u Kaliforniji pokušao je saznati utječe li umjereni unos alkohola pozitivno ili negativno na prostatu.

Istraživanje nije pronašlo nikakvu poveznicu između konzumiranja alkohola i raka prostate. Međutim, uočeno je da alkohol ima pozitive učinke kod benignog povećanja prostate. Naime, umjereno konzumiranje alkohola smanjuje vjerojatnost pojave benigne hiperplazije prostate za 35 posto. 

Pretpostavlja se da na uvećanje prostate alkohol djeluje putem blagotvornog učinka na kardiovaskularne bolesti, koje utječu na rizik pojave uvećanja.

RANO PIJENJE I KARCINOM

Muškarci koji su pili više od sedam pića tjedno u dobi od 15 do 49 godina su prema istraživanju imali tri puta veću vjerojatnost za razvoj raka prostate od onih koji nisu pili, dok njihova trenutna konzumacija alkohola nije bila povezana s rakom.

- Naši rezultati mogu objasniti zašto su prethodni dokazi koji povezuju unos alkohola i rak prostate donekle pomiješani. Moguće je da učinak alkohola dolazi iz cjeloživotnog unosa ili iz unosa ranije u životu, a ne alkoholnih obrazaca u vrijeme postavljanja dijagnoze raka prostate. Prostata je organ koji brzo raste tijekom puberteta, pa je potencijalno osjetljiviji na kancerogenu izloženost tijekom adolescentskih godina, rekla je dr. Emma Allott, docentica na Odjelu za prehranu na Sveučilištu Sjeverne Karoline u Chapel Hillu.

ALKOHOL I PSA

U studiji objavljenoj u International Journal of Cancer znanstvenici su ispitivali poveznicu između alkohola i antigena specifičnog za prostatu i rizik od raka prostate (PSA). Naime, povišene razine PSA mogući su pokazatelj raka prostate, iako mogu biti visoke i iz drugih razloga, poput prisutnosti prostatitisa ili povećane prostate.

Istraživači su uočili veći rizik od raka prostate i niže razine PSA među ljudima koji konzumiraju više alkohola. To znači da među muškarcima koji konzumiraju više alkohola može biti teže otkriti rak prostate putem razine PSA.

VINO I PROSTATA

Rezultati studija koje su istraživale povezanost vina i zdravlja prostate pokazuju da ne postoji jaka povezanost između umjerene konzumacije vina i raka prostate.

U studijama je razdvojeno bijelo i crno vino. Kod bijelog je uočen blago povećani rizik od raka prostate, a u crnom rezultati pokazuju zaštitni učinak. 

Objašnjenje, pretpostavlja se, leži u činjenici da se u vinu nalazi široki raspon bioaktivnih kemijskih komponenti. Resveratrol koji nastaje iz kožice grožđa blagotvorno utječe na procese povezane s razvojem raka prostate, a u litri crnog vina ga se nalazi dva grama. 

ŽESTOKA ALKOHOLNA PIĆA I PROSTATA

Istraživanje u kojem je sudjelovalo više od 7600 muškaraca otkrila je da konzumiranje piva i vina nema poveznicu s rakom prostate, ali da umjerena konzumacija žestokih pića ima poveznicu vjerojatnosti od 61 do 67 posto. 

Potrebno je, dakle, biti umjeren kako ne bismo škodili svom zdravlju (i svojoj prostati).

Istraživanja kojima se pokušala dokučiti vrsta i količina alkohola koja je dobra za čovjeka i granica nakon koje alkohol postaje štetan nisu urodili plodom. Ali, njima su znanstvenici uočili neočekivanu povezanost alkohola sa zdravljem prostate.

Znanstvenici iz Oregona u SAD-u zaključili su da ksantohumol, sastojak iz pive, vrši zaštitu od raka prostate i benigne hiperplazije prostate. Ovaj biljni spoj ima sposobnost poticanja stanične smrti, čime igra ulogu u prevenciji širenja raka. Također blokira djelovanje testosterona, čime smanjuje rast tumorskih stanica, piše Kreni Zdravo.

- Dodavanje ksantohumola u staničnu kulturu blokira signal proteina i djeluje na usporavanje rasta benigne hiperplazije prostate i malignih stanica raka prostate., rekla je Emily Ho, glavna znanstvenica spomenutog projekta.

Nad ksantohumolom se vrše dodatna istraživanja kako bi se saznalo je li efektan i izvan laboratorijskih uvjeta. 

ALKOHOL I PROSTATA

Dr. J. Kellogg Parsons, profesor Odjela za urološku onkologiju u Sveobuhvatnom centru za rak u Kaliforniji pokušao je saznati utječe li umjereni unos alkohola pozitivno ili negativno na prostatu.

Istraživanje nije pronašlo nikakvu poveznicu između konzumiranja alkohola i raka prostate. Međutim, uočeno je da alkohol ima pozitive učinke kod benignog povećanja prostate. Naime, umjereno konzumiranje alkohola smanjuje vjerojatnost pojave benigne hiperplazije prostate za 35 posto. 

Pretpostavlja se da na uvećanje prostate alkohol djeluje putem blagotvornog učinka na kardiovaskularne bolesti, koje utječu na rizik pojave uvećanja.

RANO PIJENJE I KARCINOM

Muškarci koji su pili više od sedam pića tjedno u dobi od 15 do 49 godina su prema istraživanju imali tri puta veću vjerojatnost za razvoj raka prostate od onih koji nisu pili, dok njihova trenutna konzumacija alkohola nije bila povezana s rakom.

- Naši rezultati mogu objasniti zašto su prethodni dokazi koji povezuju unos alkohola i rak prostate donekle pomiješani. Moguće je da učinak alkohola dolazi iz cjeloživotnog unosa ili iz unosa ranije u životu, a ne alkoholnih obrazaca u vrijeme postavljanja dijagnoze raka prostate. Prostata je organ koji brzo raste tijekom puberteta, pa je potencijalno osjetljiviji na kancerogenu izloženost tijekom adolescentskih godina, rekla je dr. Emma Allott, docentica na Odjelu za prehranu na Sveučilištu Sjeverne Karoline u Chapel Hillu.

ALKOHOL I PSA

U studiji objavljenoj u International Journal of Cancer znanstvenici su ispitivali poveznicu između alkohola i antigena specifičnog za prostatu i rizik od raka prostate (PSA). Naime, povišene razine PSA mogući su pokazatelj raka prostate, iako mogu biti visoke i iz drugih razloga, poput prisutnosti prostatitisa ili povećane prostate.

Istraživači su uočili veći rizik od raka prostate i niže razine PSA među ljudima koji konzumiraju više alkohola. To znači da među muškarcima koji konzumiraju više alkohola može biti teže otkriti rak prostate putem razine PSA.

VINO I PROSTATA

Rezultati studija koje su istraživale povezanost vina i zdravlja prostate pokazuju da ne postoji jaka povezanost između umjerene konzumacije vina i raka prostate.

U studijama je razdvojeno bijelo i crno vino. Kod bijelog je uočen blago povećani rizik od raka prostate, a u crnom rezultati pokazuju zaštitni učinak. 

Objašnjenje, pretpostavlja se, leži u činjenici da se u vinu nalazi široki raspon bioaktivnih kemijskih komponenti. Resveratrol koji nastaje iz kožice grožđa blagotvorno utječe na procese povezane s razvojem raka prostate, a u litri crnog vina ga se nalazi dva grama. 

ŽESTOKA ALKOHOLNA PIĆA I PROSTATA

Istraživanje u kojem je sudjelovalo više od 7600 muškaraca otkrila je da konzumiranje piva i vina nema poveznicu s rakom prostate, ali da umjerena konzumacija žestokih pića ima poveznicu vjerojatnosti od 61 do 67 posto. 

Potrebno je, dakle, biti umjeren kako ne bismo škodili svom zdravlju (i svojoj prostati).

Prema istraživanjima, umjerena konzumacija alkohola nosi velike zdravstvene beneficije. Međutim, ako se zlouporabljuje, može uzrokovati razne zdravstvene probleme i biti vaš najveći neprijatelj, piše Kreni Zdravo.

Istraživanja kojima se pokušala dokučiti vrsta i količina alkohola koja je dobra za čovjeka i granica nakon koje alkohol postaje štetan nisu urodili plodom. Ali, njima su znanstvenici uočili neočekivanu povezanost alkohola sa zdravljem prostate.
