Malo je ljudi koji baš vole kada im se daje injekcija, mnogi osjećaju nelagodu, ali to nekako pretrpe. No ima podosta i onih koje obuzme strah, pa i panika, već i kod pomisli na ubod.

Pritom jednostavna injekcija ili vađenje krvi rijetko boli, u pravilu pacijent osjeća samo mali ubod. Ali čak i kad im se kaže da nema potrebe za panikom, ljudi u tim situacijama često doživljavaju neobjašnjive strahove.

Veliku ulogu tu nerijetko igra strah od nesvjestice i time od gubitka kontrole nad vlastitim postupcima, piše DW.

Jednostavno ne mogu vidjeti krv

"Muka mi je i koljena su mi slaba" jedna je od najčešćih pritužbi koje opisuju ljudi koji se boje krvi. A ako se osoba počne znojiti, problijedi i krv ne cirkulira kako treba, ona više ne dolazi u mozak u dovoljnim količinama. Osoba nakratko ostaje bez svijesti.

Stručnjaci taj strah od krvi pripisuju evoluciji i činjenici da od davnina krv znači opasnost. Tijela naših predaka su u slučaju opasnost odgovarala pokretanjem takoreći programa za slučaj opasnost. Ukoliko dođe do ranjavanja, najprije je cijelo tijelo kratko vrijeme intenzivno usredotočeno na povećanu pažnju, a krvni tlak raste. Ali onda se tijelo vrlo brzo vraća u normalno stanje.

To znači da krvni pritisak i broj otkucaja srca brzo opadaju. Na taj način tijelo može osigurati što manji gubitak krvi u slučaju ozljeda, a istovremeno se olakšava zgrušavanje krvi.

Dakle, u određenom je smislu nesvjestica program tijela za slučaj nužde.

Strah se pretvara u fobiju

U Njemačkoj više od tri milijuna ljudi pati od straha od igala.

Međutim, kada postoje ozbiljna ograničenja i panično ponašanje liječnici više ne govore o strahu već o fobiji. Ona uglavnom pogađa mlade ljude i djecu.

Oni se osobito često boje šprica i igala. U djetetovim očima oboje mogu djelovati zastrašujuće. Iako mnoga djeca uopće nemaju iskustva s tim,  plaču kao da je riječ o životu i smrti. A ako postoji neposredno negativno iskustvo, recimo kada medicinska sestra ili liječnik nisu pogodili venu iz prve, strah često ostaje životni pratilac.

Odbijanje cijepljenja

Jedna od posljedica može biti opći strah od cijepljenja – i odbijanje. To može imati dalekosežne posljedice, recimo kada je riječ o tetanusu – trovanju krvi uslijed onečišćenja rane. Cijepljenje protiv tetanusa to može spriječiti i jednako je važno kao i cijepljenje protiv difterije i dječje paralize te protiv različitih tropskih bolesti ako želite otići u daleke zemlje. Cijepljenje može spasiti živote. Iako je samo cijepljenje kratka stvar, strah od njega može imati teške posljedice.

Mnogi ljudi s kroničnim bolestima su upućeni na redovno primanje injekcija – bilo od strane liječnika, bilo da to moraju činiti sami, primjerice kada je riječ o dijabetesu. Osobe s dijabetesom tipa 1 ovise o inzulinu i moraju si ga sami ubrizgavati. Vjerojatno nezamislive muke za nekoga tko se boji injekcija.

Odmaći se od straha

Tu mogu pomoći psihoterapeuti. Oni mogu pokazati kako je moguće riješiti se strahova odnosno kako kontrolirati fobije.

Dugoročno tu pomaže kognitivna bihevioralna terapija. Oni koje muče strahovi nauče se nositi s tim prvo na psihološkoj, a potom i na fizičkoj razini. Prag boli postupno se povećava sve dok podražaji više ne dovode do paničnog ponašanja i nesvjestica. To je proces desenzibiliziranja.

U mnogim slučajevima na kraju takve terapije dolazi do stvarnog vađenja krvi, u kojem se krv uzima šupljom iglom. Empatija s pacijentom često pomaže da se napad panike stavi pod kontrolu. Ako to ne pomogne, uvijek postoji druga opcija, a to je zatezanje i opuštanje stražnjice i mišića potkoljenice. To stisne vene, ne dolazi do prekomjerne koncentracije krvi u nogama i nema nesvjestice. Dakle kada postane kritično: stisnite stražnjicu i nastavite disati.

Malo je ljudi koji baš vole kada im se daje injekcija, mnogi osjećaju nelagodu, ali to nekako pretrpe. No ima podosta i onih koje obuzme strah, pa i panika, već i kod pomisli na ubod.

Pritom jednostavna injekcija ili vađenje krvi rijetko boli, u pravilu pacijent osjeća samo mali ubod. Ali čak i kad im se kaže da nema potrebe za panikom, ljudi u tim situacijama često doživljavaju neobjašnjive strahove.

Veliku ulogu tu nerijetko igra strah od nesvjestice i time od gubitka kontrole nad vlastitim postupcima, piše DW.

Jednostavno ne mogu vidjeti krv

"Muka mi je i koljena su mi slaba" jedna je od najčešćih pritužbi koje opisuju ljudi koji se boje krvi. A ako se osoba počne znojiti, problijedi i krv ne cirkulira kako treba, ona više ne dolazi u mozak u dovoljnim količinama. Osoba nakratko ostaje bez svijesti.

Stručnjaci taj strah od krvi pripisuju evoluciji i činjenici da od davnina krv znači opasnost. Tijela naših predaka su u slučaju opasnost odgovarala pokretanjem takoreći programa za slučaj opasnost. Ukoliko dođe do ranjavanja, najprije je cijelo tijelo kratko vrijeme intenzivno usredotočeno na povećanu pažnju, a krvni tlak raste. Ali onda se tijelo vrlo brzo vraća u normalno stanje.

To znači da krvni pritisak i broj otkucaja srca brzo opadaju. Na taj način tijelo može osigurati što manji gubitak krvi u slučaju ozljeda, a istovremeno se olakšava zgrušavanje krvi.

Dakle, u određenom je smislu nesvjestica program tijela za slučaj nužde.

Strah se pretvara u fobiju

U Njemačkoj više od tri milijuna ljudi pati od straha od igala.

Međutim, kada postoje ozbiljna ograničenja i panično ponašanje liječnici više ne govore o strahu već o fobiji. Ona uglavnom pogađa mlade ljude i djecu.

Oni se osobito često boje šprica i igala. U djetetovim očima oboje mogu djelovati zastrašujuće. Iako mnoga djeca uopće nemaju iskustva s tim,  plaču kao da je riječ o životu i smrti. A ako postoji neposredno negativno iskustvo, recimo kada medicinska sestra ili liječnik nisu pogodili venu iz prve, strah često ostaje životni pratilac.

Odbijanje cijepljenja

Jedna od posljedica može biti opći strah od cijepljenja – i odbijanje. To može imati dalekosežne posljedice, recimo kada je riječ o tetanusu – trovanju krvi uslijed onečišćenja rane. Cijepljenje protiv tetanusa to može spriječiti i jednako je važno kao i cijepljenje protiv difterije i dječje paralize te protiv različitih tropskih bolesti ako želite otići u daleke zemlje. Cijepljenje može spasiti živote. Iako je samo cijepljenje kratka stvar, strah od njega može imati teške posljedice.

Mnogi ljudi s kroničnim bolestima su upućeni na redovno primanje injekcija – bilo od strane liječnika, bilo da to moraju činiti sami, primjerice kada je riječ o dijabetesu. Osobe s dijabetesom tipa 1 ovise o inzulinu i moraju si ga sami ubrizgavati. Vjerojatno nezamislive muke za nekoga tko se boji injekcija.

Odmaći se od straha

Tu mogu pomoći psihoterapeuti. Oni mogu pokazati kako je moguće riješiti se strahova odnosno kako kontrolirati fobije.

Dugoročno tu pomaže kognitivna bihevioralna terapija. Oni koje muče strahovi nauče se nositi s tim prvo na psihološkoj, a potom i na fizičkoj razini. Prag boli postupno se povećava sve dok podražaji više ne dovode do paničnog ponašanja i nesvjestica. To je proces desenzibiliziranja.

U mnogim slučajevima na kraju takve terapije dolazi do stvarnog vađenja krvi, u kojem se krv uzima šupljom iglom. Empatija s pacijentom često pomaže da se napad panike stavi pod kontrolu. Ako to ne pomogne, uvijek postoji druga opcija, a to je zatezanje i opuštanje stražnjice i mišića potkoljenice. To stisne vene, ne dolazi do prekomjerne koncentracije krvi u nogama i nema nesvjestice. Dakle kada postane kritično: stisnite stražnjicu i nastavite disati.

Zdravljenema potrebe za panikom

Kod nekih ljudi već i sama pomisao na cijepljenje i vađenje krvi izaziva mučninu, nisu rijetki oni koji padaju u nesvijest i zbog toga ne odlaze liječniku, ali to može biti vrlo opasno

Malo je ljudi koji baš vole kada im se daje injekcija, mnogi osjećaju nelagodu, ali to nekako pretrpe. No ima podosta i onih koje obuzme strah, pa i panika, već i kod pomisli na ubod.

Pritom jednostavna injekcija ili vađenje krvi rijetko boli, u pravilu pacijent osjeća samo mali ubod. Ali čak i kad im se kaže da nema potrebe za panikom, ljudi u tim situacijama često doživljavaju neobjašnjive strahove.

Veliku ulogu tu nerijetko igra strah od nesvjestice i time od gubitka kontrole nad vlastitim postupcima, piše DW.
