Kada je američka glumica Hilary Swank, poznata po svojim ulogama u "Million dollar baby", "P.S. I love you" i brojnim drugima, 2022. godine objavila da je trudna u 48. godini, pokrenula je lavinu komentara. I pozitivnih  negativnih. O sretnoj vijesti se raspravljalo na sve strane, a novinarka Mary Madigan odlučila je svoje mišljenje podijeliti javno.

"Hilary Swank (48) objavila je da je trudna i da čeka blizance, i iako sam sretna zbog nje, također mislim da taj trend da starije, poznate žene rađaju bebe daje krive zaključke svim "normalnim" ženama", rekla je za News.com.au.

Prema riječima ove novinarke, glumica je imala svako pravo za sebe zadržati detalje svoje trudnoće, ali je kao javna ličnost trebala znati da predstavlja veliki uzor mnogim ženama. Zato je svojom trudnoćom - bez obzira na to je li rezultat prirodne ili umjetne oplodnje mogla postati "svjetionik lažne nade" onima koji imaju poteškoće s plodnošću. 

"To govori prosječnim ženama da i one to mogu! Ali, realno, vjerojatno ne mogu. Pretpostavljam da se njezina trudnoća dogodila uz pomoć moderne nauke. Neugodna je biološka činjenica da plodnost žene počinje opadati u 30.-ima, tako da je pri kraju 40-ih, statistički, gotovo nemoguće zatrudnjeti prirodnim putem, rekla je.

Mary je zatim ukazala na činjenicu da je rađanje u "zrelijoj" dobi pravi trend među ženama Hollywooda. Kao dokaz navela je Hallie Berry, koja je drugo dijete rodila s 47 godina, Janet Jackson, koja je postala majka s 50 godina, Gwen Stephani, koja je trećeg sina na svijet donijela s 44 godine i Gina Davis koja je rodila blizance u toj istoj dobi.

"Nemam ništa protiv toga da žene imaju djecu kasnije u životu. Zapravo, voljela bih biti manje zabrinuta za svoj biološki sat koji je, čini se, glasniji od zvona na početku punog sata. Ali mislim da slušanje o slavnim osobama koje kasnije u životu imaju djecu ženama daje lažnu nadu. To ih navodi na razmišljanje o tome mogu to odgoditi ili učiniti kasnije. Realno, imati djecu od srednjih 40-ih do kasnih 40-ih rezervirano je za bogate, slavne i one vrlo sretne ljude", napisala je Mary i dodala:

"Vaša plodnost će se dramatično smanjiti do srednjih četrdesetih; u Australiji, "In vitro" tretman ima graničnu dob od 45 godina. Osim toga, prosječna runda tretmana košta između 8.000 i 10.000 dolara. Ovo znači da si većina žena s prosječnim prihodima ne može priuštiti runde i runde tretmana."

Mary je ukazala i na činjenicu da manje od 20 posto umjetnih oplodnji ima uspješne rezultate. 

"Mislim da Swank ima puno pravo slaviti svoju "kasnu" trudnoću, ali se nadam da će priznati da se trudnoća u kasnim četrdesetima obično događa zbog privilegije. Slavne osobe često stvaraju naše norme i ja ne želim da jedna žena vidi ovu trudnoću i pomisli da će je čeka sličan put - jer istina je da njegov uspjeh dolazi u paru s velikim znakom dolara.

Kada je američka glumica Hilary Swank, poznata po svojim ulogama u "Million dollar baby", "P.S. I love you" i brojnim drugima, 2022. godine objavila da je trudna u 48. godini, pokrenula je lavinu komentara. I pozitivnih  negativnih. O sretnoj vijesti se raspravljalo na sve strane, a novinarka Mary Madigan odlučila je svoje mišljenje podijeliti javno.

"Hilary Swank (48) objavila je da je trudna i da čeka blizance, i iako sam sretna zbog nje, također mislim da taj trend da starije, poznate žene rađaju bebe daje krive zaključke svim "normalnim" ženama", rekla je za News.com.au.

Prema riječima ove novinarke, glumica je imala svako pravo za sebe zadržati detalje svoje trudnoće, ali je kao javna ličnost trebala znati da predstavlja veliki uzor mnogim ženama. Zato je svojom trudnoćom - bez obzira na to je li rezultat prirodne ili umjetne oplodnje mogla postati "svjetionik lažne nade" onima koji imaju poteškoće s plodnošću.

Mary je zatim ukazala na činjenicu da je rađanje u "zrelijoj" dobi pravi trend među ženama Hollywooda. Kao dokaz navela je Hallie Berry, koja je drugo dijete rodila s 47 godina, Janet Jackson, koja je postala majka s 50 godina, Gwen Stephani, koja je trećeg sina na svijet donijela s 44 godine i Gina Davis koja je rodila blizance u toj istoj dobi.

"Nemam ništa protiv toga da žene imaju djecu kasnije u životu. Zapravo, voljela bih biti manje zabrinuta za svoj biološki sat koji je, čini se, glasniji od zvona na početku punog sata. "Vaša plodnost će se dramatično smanjiti do srednjih četrdesetih; u Australiji, "In vitro" tretman ima graničnu dob od 45 godina. Osim toga, prosječna runda tretmana košta između 8.000 i 10.000 dolara. Ovo znači da si većina žena s prosječnim prihodima ne može priuštiti runde i runde tretmana."

Mary je ukazala i na činjenicu da manje od 20 posto umjetnih oplodnji ima uspješne rezultate. 

"Mislim da Swank ima puno pravo slaviti svoju "kasnu" trudnoću, ali se nadam da će priznati da se trudnoća u kasnim četrdesetima obično događa zbog privilegije. Slavne osobe često stvaraju naše norme i ja ne želim da jedna žena vidi ovu trudnoću i pomisli da će je čeka sličan put - jer istina je da njegov uspjeh dolazi u paru s velikim znakom dolara.

Kada je američka glumica Hilary Swank, poznata po svojim ulogama u "Million dollar baby", "P.S. I love you" i brojnim drugima, 2022. godine objavila da je trudna u 48. godini, pokrenula je lavinu komentara. I pozitivnih  negativnih. O sretnoj vijesti se raspravljalo na sve strane, a novinarka Mary Madigan odlučila je svoje mišljenje podijeliti javno.
