Pušenje je odavno na zlu glasu, ponajprije zbog zdravstvenih razloga. Ali miris duhanskoga dima, koji se uvuče u odjeću i u namještaj, a ostavlja trag i na zidovima, jedan je od razloga zbog kojih neki ne dopuštaju pušenje u kući ili u stanu.

Odnedavno su znanstvenici počeli govoriti o tercijarnom dimu, "dimu bez dima", onome koji se apsorbira u prostoriji u kojoj se pušilo nakon izgaranja duhana.

Tercijarni dim ostaje utisnut na zidovima, u sjedalima automobila, sofi, tepihu i drugom namještaju. Problem je što se on ne vidi, a može sadržavati visoke doze štetnih i potencijalno štetnih tvari. Takva karakteristika čini ga podmuklijim od primarnog i sekundarnog dima koji se mogu izbjeći jer su očiti. U najnovijoj studiji, visoka prisutnost tercijarnog dima utvrđena je u domu osobe koja je prestala pušiti prije devet godina i od tada čak nije dopuštala pušenje u kući, prenosi Mondo.

Glavni istraživač u projektu, dr. Hugo Destaillats, potvrđuje da dnevna doza izloženosti tercijarnom dimu može biti vrlo visoka, jer se tvari mogu apsorbirati i kroz kožu. Koliko se to često događa, on ilustrira primjerom gipsanog praha u zidovima, koji je spužva za upijanje štetnih i potencijalno štetnih tvari tercijarnog dima.

Kako biste prostor očistili od prisutnosti tercijarnog dima, dr. Rachel Record ističe kako je najbolje riješiti se namještaja, dekoracija, tepiha i svih drugih materijala na koje se dim lako veže. Nakon toga u prostoriji se ni pod kojim uvjetima ne smije pušiti kako se dim ne bi ponovno zalijepio za nove predmete, prenosi Mondo.

Pušačima koji ne mogu bez nikotina preporučuje se zamjena cigareta boljim, manje štetnim alternativama u obliku e-cigareta ili bezdimnih uređaja koji zagrijavaju duhan i ispuštaju aerosol. On se ne lijepi za odjeću, namještaj ili zidove i nakon ispuštanja vrlo brzo nestaje, a nema ni tercijarnog dima. Dr. Destaillats potvrđuje da ove alternative oslobađaju manje štetnih i potencijalno štetnih tvari.

Pušenje je odavno na zlu glasu, ponajprije zbog zdravstvenih razloga. Ali miris duhanskoga dima, koji se uvuče u odjeću i u namještaj, a ostavlja trag i na zidovima, jedan je od razloga zbog kojih neki ne dopuštaju pušenje u kući ili u stanu.

Odnedavno su znanstvenici počeli govoriti o tercijarnom dimu, "dimu bez dima", onome koji se apsorbira u prostoriji u kojoj se pušilo nakon izgaranja duhana.

Tercijarni dim ostaje utisnut na zidovima, u sjedalima automobila, sofi, tepihu i drugom namještaju. Problem je što se on ne vidi, a može sadržavati visoke doze štetnih i potencijalno štetnih tvari. Takva karakteristika čini ga podmuklijim od primarnog i sekundarnog dima koji se mogu izbjeći jer su očiti. U najnovijoj studiji, visoka prisutnost tercijarnog dima utvrđena je u domu osobe koja je prestala pušiti prije devet godina i od tada čak nije dopuštala pušenje u kući, prenosi Mondo.

Glavni istraživač u projektu, dr. Hugo Destaillats, potvrđuje da dnevna doza izloženosti tercijarnom dimu može biti vrlo visoka, jer se tvari mogu apsorbirati i kroz kožu. Koliko se to često događa, on ilustrira primjerom gipsanog praha u zidovima, koji je spužva za upijanje štetnih i potencijalno štetnih tvari tercijarnog dima.
