Vjerojatno ne razmišljate previše o svakodnevnom tuširanju, to je samo rutina koju obavljate kako biste bili čisti i možda se opustili ili razbudili. Međutim, određene navike mogu vam ostaviti suhu kožu sklonu infekcijama. Prije nego što opet uđete u tuš, provjerite radite li neke od ovih grešaka, piše Živim.

Vaša voda je prevruća

Imate suhu kožu koja vas često svrbi? Za to bi zapravo mogla biti kriva vruća voda.

- Ako izlazi puno pare, to je znak da je voda prevruća - kaže dr. med. Melissa Piliang, dermatologinja na Klinici Cleveland. Dodaje kako ova navika osim što isušuje kožu, može potaknuti razbuktavanje ekcema. Ne morate se u potpunosti odreći vrućih tuševa, ali dr. Piliang preporučuje jedan trik kojim ćete spriječiti iritaciju kože. Pustite vodu iz tuša onoliko vruću koliko vam odgovara i neka ona ispuni tuš kabinu toplinom i parom. Nakon što se tuš kabina ugrije, smanjite temperaturu vode na ugodnu i onda uđite.

Koristite jak sapun

Možda vam se sviđa osjećaj čistoće koji dolazi od ribanja kože, ali sapuni s antibakterijskim agensima ili oštrijim sastojcima mogu uzrokovati više štete nego koristi. Taj osjećaj ribanja može zapravo skinuti sva prirodna ulja.

- Kada su ulja prisutna, djeluju kao lubrikant pa vaša ruka može glatko kliziti po koži - rekla je dr. Piliang.

Bez te barijere vaša je koža još više izložena vrućoj vodi, vjetru i ostalim stvarima koje je isušuju. Naime, triklosan, antibakterijski sastojak koji se koristi u nekim sapunima, povezan je s ozbiljnijim zdravstvenim problemima. Američka uprava za hranu i lijekove (FDA) ističe kako taj sastojak nije toksičan za ljude, ali studije na životinjama sugeriraju da može promijeniti razinu hormona. Druge laboratorijske studije povezuju tu kemikaliju s razvojem rezistencije na antibiotike.

Zbog toga dr. Piliang preporučuje izbjegavanje antibakterijskih sapuna za tuširanje te odabir proizvoda koji nemaju mirise i sadrže hidratantu kremu. Svačija je koža različita pa ćete možda morati isprobati nekoliko različitih proizvoda kako biste pronašli onaj koji je pravi za vas.

Previše se perete

Osim ako niste prekriveni prljavštinom, od recimo cjelodnevno rada vani, jedina mjesta na kojima je potrebno veće sapunanje su pazusi i prepune. Voda će zapravo očistiti sve ostalo, čak i nakon znojnog treninga, objašnjava dr. med. Robynne Chutkan, osnivačica Probavnog centra za žene u Marylandu. Koža osim što sadrži prirodna ulja, ima puno dobrih bakterija koje su ključne za zdravlje kože. Trljanje od glave do pete, čak i ako koristite blaži sapun, može ukloniti korisne bakterije koje vas štite od akni, ekcema i suhe kože.

Ne čistite britvice

Britvice mogu skupljati bakterije s vaše kože, a one se zatim mogu razmnožavati dok stoje u vlažnom tušu. Zato ih morate isprati vrućom vodom prije svake upotrebe, kaže dr. med. Sanford Vieder, iz bolnice Lakes Urgent Care u Michiganu. Preskakanje ovog koraka može potaknuti infekcije, pogotovo ako se posiječete.

- Kada koristite britvicu, očito se možete posjeći, ali britvica će također napraviti vrlo male mikroskopske posjekotine koje mogu biti ulazna vrata za bakterije ili gljivice - navodi dr. Piliang.

Uz to, britvicu biste trebali zamijeniti otprilike jednom tjedno.

- Ako koristite tupu oštricu, postoji veći rizik od posjekotina i stvaranja ulaza za bakterije - upozorava dr. Vieder.

Ne pazite tijekom tuširanja u teretani

Vaše godine života u studentskom domu možda su već dugo iza vas, ali to ne znači da biste trebali napustiti praksu nošenja japanki kada koristite zajedničku kupaonicu.

- Atletsko stopalo i bradavice mogu se pokupiti na javnim mjestima. Nošenje obuće za tuširanje ili japanki na nogama kada se tuširate i izlazite iz tuša može pomoći u izbjegavanju ovih problema - zaključila je dr. Piliang.

Vjerojatno ne razmišljate previše o svakodnevnom tuširanju, to je samo rutina koju obavljate kako biste bili čisti i možda se opustili ili razbudili. Međutim, određene navike mogu vam ostaviti suhu kožu sklonu infekcijama. Prije nego što opet uđete u tuš, provjerite radite li neke od ovih grešaka, piše Živim.

Vaša voda je prevruća

Imate suhu kožu koja vas često svrbi? Za to bi zapravo mogla biti kriva vruća voda.

- Ako izlazi puno pare, to je znak da je voda prevruća - kaže dr. med. Melissa Piliang, dermatologinja na Klinici Cleveland. Dodaje kako ova navika osim što isušuje kožu, može potaknuti razbuktavanje ekcema. Ne morate se u potpunosti odreći vrućih tuševa, ali dr. Piliang preporučuje jedan trik kojim ćete spriječiti iritaciju kože. Pustite vodu iz tuša onoliko vruću koliko vam odgovara i neka ona ispuni tuš kabinu toplinom i parom. Nakon što se tuš kabina ugrije, smanjite temperaturu vode na ugodnu i onda uđite.

Koristite jak sapun

Možda vam se sviđa osjećaj čistoće koji dolazi od ribanja kože, ali sapuni s antibakterijskim agensima ili oštrijim sastojcima mogu uzrokovati više štete nego koristi. Taj osjećaj ribanja može zapravo skinuti sva prirodna ulja.

- Kada su ulja prisutna, djeluju kao lubrikant pa vaša ruka može glatko kliziti po koži - rekla je dr. Piliang.

Bez te barijere vaša je koža još više izložena vrućoj vodi, vjetru i ostalim stvarima koje je isušuju. Naime, triklosan, antibakterijski sastojak koji se koristi u nekim sapunima, povezan je s ozbiljnijim zdravstvenim problemima. Američka uprava za hranu i lijekove (FDA) ističe kako taj sastojak nije toksičan za ljude, ali studije na životinjama sugeriraju da može promijeniti razinu hormona. Druge laboratorijske studije povezuju tu kemikaliju s razvojem rezistencije na antibiotike.

Zbog toga dr. Piliang preporučuje izbjegavanje antibakterijskih sapuna za tuširanje te odabir proizvoda koji nemaju mirise i sadrže hidratantu kremu. Svačija je koža različita pa ćete možda morati isprobati nekoliko različitih proizvoda kako biste pronašli onaj koji je pravi za vas.

Previše se perete

Osim ako niste prekriveni prljavštinom, od recimo cjelodnevno rada vani, jedina mjesta na kojima je potrebno veće sapunanje su pazusi i prepune. Voda će zapravo očistiti sve ostalo, čak i nakon znojnog treninga, objašnjava dr. med. Robynne Chutkan, osnivačica Probavnog centra za žene u Marylandu. Koža osim što sadrži prirodna ulja, ima puno dobrih bakterija koje su ključne za zdravlje kože. Trljanje od glave do pete, čak i ako koristite blaži sapun, može ukloniti korisne bakterije koje vas štite od akni, ekcema i suhe kože.

Ne čistite britvice

Britvice mogu skupljati bakterije s vaše kože, a one se zatim mogu razmnožavati dok stoje u vlažnom tušu. Zato ih morate isprati vrućom vodom prije svake upotrebe, kaže dr. med. Sanford Vieder, iz bolnice Lakes Urgent Care u Michiganu. Preskakanje ovog koraka može potaknuti infekcije, pogotovo ako se posiječete.

- Kada koristite britvicu, očito se možete posjeći, ali britvica će također napraviti vrlo male mikroskopske posjekotine koje mogu biti ulazna vrata za bakterije ili gljivice - navodi dr. Piliang.

Uz to, britvicu biste trebali zamijeniti otprilike jednom tjedno.

- Ako koristite tupu oštricu, postoji veći rizik od posjekotina i stvaranja ulaza za bakterije - upozorava dr. Vieder.

Ne pazite tijekom tuširanja u teretani

Vaše godine života u studentskom domu možda su već dugo iza vas, ali to ne znači da biste trebali napustiti praksu nošenja japanki kada koristite zajedničku kupaonicu.

- Atletsko stopalo i bradavice mogu se pokupiti na javnim mjestima. Nošenje obuće za tuširanje ili japanki na nogama kada se tuširate i izlazite iz tuša može pomoći u izbjegavanju ovih problema - zaključila je dr. Piliang.

Vjerojatno ne razmišljate previše o svakodnevnom tuširanju, to je samo rutina koju obavljate kako biste bili čisti i možda se opustili ili razbudili. Imate suhu kožu koja vas često svrbi? Za to bi zapravo mogla biti kriva vruća voda.
