Kad sol koristite kao herbicid, morate biti pažljivi. Lako može ubiti okolne biljke i utjecati na dugoročno zdravlje tla. Previše soli može s vremenom čak i sterilizirati tlo. Kemija soli: Kako sol djeluje na ubijanje korova

Kako koristiti sol kao herbicid

Sol je najučinkovitija kao herbicid kada se pomiješa s vodom. Preporučena jačina smjese slane vode ovisi o tome gdje planirate primijeniti herbicid. Ako primjenjujete sol na korov u vrtu s drugim biljkama koje ne želite ubiti, trebali biste započeti sa slabijom smjesom - poput smjese soli i vode u omjeru 1: 2.

Alternativno, ako primjenjujete sol na području gdje dugoročno zdravlje tla nije problem (poput kamena s terase, pukotina na prilazima itd.), Može se napraviti puno jača smjesa, poput 2: 1 ili 3: 1. Ova količina soli definitivno će utjecati na pH razinu tla s vremenom i može dovesti do toga da ono postane sterilno.

Otopine slane vode treba nanositi izravno na lišće korova. Izbjegavajte namakanje korijenja smjesom kako biste zaštitili okolno tlo i biljke. Slana voda se može nanositi pomoću raspršivača ili se može uliti iz posude. Može li se sol koristiti za uništavanje korova?

Ukratko, sol je učinkovit netoksični herbicid. Međutim, nije sva sol jednaka kad je u pitanju suzbijanje korova. Mora se koristiti redovita jodirana ili nejodirana kuhinjska sol. Provjerite u paketu da li koristite natrijev klorid, a ne magnezijev sulfat (Epsomove soli), kamenu sol ili morsku sol.

Kad sol koristite kao herbicid, morate biti pažljivi. Lako može ubiti okolne biljke i utjecati na dugoročno zdravlje tla. Previše soli može s vremenom čak i sterilizirati tlo. Najučinkovitije se može koristiti za tretiranje korova koji nisu okruženi biljkama do kojih vam je stalo u vrtu, poput korova koji viri kroz pukotine na asfaltu ili kolniku ili raste između kamenja na terasi.

Kemija soli: Kako sol djeluje na ubijanje korova

Sol (natrijev klorid) djeluje na uništavanje korova dehidrirajući biljke i narušavajući unutarnju ravnotežu vode biljnih stanica. Budući da je sol topljiva u vodi, najučinkovitije se primjenjuje kada se pomiješa s vodom, jer to olakšava apsorpciju korova. Natrijev klorid je vrlo toksičan za sve biljke, zbog čega pri njegovoj primjeni treba biti oprezan. Općenito, sol se najbolje koristi kao herbicid za malo vrtlarenje ili suzbijanje korova.

Kako koristiti sol kao herbicid

Sol je najučinkovitija kao herbicid kada se pomiješa s vodom. Preporučena jačina smjese slane vode ovisi o tome gdje planirate primijeniti herbicid. Ako primjenjujete sol na korov u vrtu s drugim biljkama koje ne želite ubiti, trebali biste započeti sa slabijom smjesom - poput smjese soli i vode u omjeru 1: 2.

Alternativno, ako primjenjujete sol na području gdje dugoročno zdravlje tla nije problem (poput kamena s terase, pukotina na prilazima itd.), Može se napraviti puno jača smjesa, poput 2: 1 ili 3: 1. Ova količina soli definitivno će utjecati na pH razinu tla s vremenom i može dovesti do toga da ono postane sterilno.

Otopine slane vode treba nanositi izravno na lišće korova. Izbjegavajte namakanje korijenja smjesom kako biste zaštitili okolno tlo i biljke. Slana voda se može nanositi pomoću raspršivača ili se može uliti iz posude. Ako u blizini postoje druge biljke, obilno ih zalijevajte nakon primjene herbicida na korov kako biste isprali svu slanu vodu koja je dospjela u okolno tlo.

Sol nasuprot ostalim netoksičnim herbicidima

Kao i kod smjese soli i vode, ocat se mora primjenjivati ​​pažljivo jer vremenom može promijeniti pH ravnotežu tla - utječući na rast budućih biljaka.

Vruća voda također se može koristiti do određenog stupnja učinkovitosti. Izvrsna je opcija za suočavanje s nakupinama teškog korova u vrtu, jer voda neće imati rezidualne učinke na tlo. Međutim, kao i kod većine ostalih herbicida, kipuću vodu treba vrlo pažljivo nanositi na vrt kako ne bi oštetili biljke koje ne želite ubiti.

Iznenađujuće je da je vatra još jedna metoda 'netoksičnog' suzbijanja korova koju koriste vrtlari. Požar izgara nastali korov, uzrokujući štetu na strukturnoj razini. Iako će kontrola požara trajno ukloniti jednogodišnji korov, on ne ubija korijenje tvrđih višegodišnjih korova, piše Dom & Dizajn.
