Pojava virusa Zapadnog Nila u Europi izazvala je zabrinutost i potaknula ljude da se zapitaju načine zaštite od komaraca.
Stručnjaci savjetuju izbjegavanje boravka blizu vodenih površina poput rijeka, jezera i močvara, posebno tijekom večernjih sati, kada je prisutnost komaraca najizraženija, piše klik.hr.
Također, preporučuje se korištenje sredstava za odbijanje komaraca. S obzirom na velik izbor takvih proizvoda na tržištu s različitim sastojcima, nije lako odabrati najučinkovitiji. Profesor James Logan, vodeći stručnjak za odbijanje komaraca na Londonskoj školi za higijenu i tropsku medicinu, proveo je testiranje učinkovitosti glavnih sastojaka prisutnih u poznatim brendovima sredstava za zaštitu od komaraca.
Kako bi testirao njihovu učinkovitost, nanosio je svaki od tih sastojaka pojedinačno na ruku, koju bi zatim stavio u staklenu kutiju s 50 komaraca. Njegovo zaključivanje i savjet drugima bilo je da je vrijeme nanošenja ključno.
Vrijeme nanošenja je važno
Na sredstvima za odbijanje komaraca obično piše da pružaju zaštitu od četiri do deset sati. Narukvice protiv komaraca

Pojava virusa Zapadnog Nila u Europi izazvala je zabrinutost i potaknula ljude da se zapitaju načine zaštite od komaraca.
Stručnjaci savjetuju izbjegavanje boravka blizu vodenih površina poput rijeka, jezera i močvara, posebno tijekom večernjih sati, kada je prisutnost komaraca najizraženija, piše klik.hr.

Profesor James Logan, vodeći stručnjak za odbijanje komaraca na Londonskoj školi za higijenu i tropsku medicinu, proveo je testiranje učinkovitosti glavnih sastojaka prisutnih u poznatim brendovima sredstava za zaštitu od komaraca.
Kako bi testirao njihovu učinkovitost, nanosio je svaki od tih sastojaka pojedinačno na ruku, koju bi zatim stavio u staklenu kutiju s 50 komaraca. Njegovo zaključivanje i savjet drugima bilo je da je vrijeme nanošenja ključno.
Vrijeme nanošenja je važno
Na sredstvima za odbijanje komaraca obično piše da pružaju zaštitu od četiri do deset sati. Međutim, profesor Logan ističe da tijekom odmora često se znojimo, plivamo ili mijenjamo odjeću, što može utjecati na trajanje zaštite. Uvijek je važno pažljivo pročitati upute i nanositi proizvod češće ako je potrebno.
Pravilan nanos
Bez obzira radi li se o spreju, roll-onu ili losionu, profesor Logan naglašava potrebu za temeljnim nanošenjem sredstava za odbijanje komaraca. Preporučuje da proizvod nanesete pažljivo, slično kao što nanosite kremu za sunčanje, pokrivajući sva izložena područja. Narukvice protiv komaraca
