Ludwig van Beethoven rođen je 1770. i kao što se prije tri godine obilježavalo 250 godina od njegova rođena, 2027. sigurno će se obilježiti i dvjesto godina od njegove smrti.

A kako i ne bi kada se Beethoven smatra jednim od najvećih skladatelja u povijesti. Njegova najpoznatija djela su Peta, Šesta i Deveta simfonija, Za Elizu, Patetična i Mjesečeva sonata.

Skladatelj je već u ranim 20-ima počeo gubiti sluh, a u kasnim 40-ima potpuno je oglušio. Sve to pratili su i brojni drugi zdravstveni problemi, uključujući i bolesti jetre.

Zabrinut za svoje zdravlje, Beethoven se obratio prijatelju i liječniku Johannu Adamu Schmidtu 1802. godine. Međutim, Schmidt ubrzo umire, a Beethoven nastavlja svoju borbu sljedećih 25 godina, da bi 1827. umro od bolesti koja ga je mučila sve te godine. Gotovo dva stoljeća nakon ovog događaja znanstvenici su napravili analize koje su ukazale da za sve postoji genetska, ali i virusna osnova, čime su konačno prestala nagađanja o podrijetlu Beethovenove bolesti, piše National Geographic.

"Ne možemo sa sigurnošću reći što je uzrokovalo Beethovenovu smrt, ali sada možemo barem potvrditi postojanje značajnog nasljednog rizika i infekcije virusom hepatitisa B", kaže koautor studije Johannes Krause, profesor genetike na Institutu "Max Planck".

Znanstvenici koji su radili na studiji dobili su na analizu osam pramenova kose za koje se vjeruje da pripadaju slavnom skladatelju. Nakon analize DNK i usporedbe pojedinih dijelova, istraživači su zaključili da pet niti pripada Beethovenu. Daljnje analize otkrile su da slavni skladatelj ima genetsku predispoziciju za bolesti jetre uzrokovane nasljednim faktorom koji se naziva hemokoromatoza. Kako sugeriraju istraživači, to u kombinaciji s njegovom sklonošću alkoholu i infekcijom hepatitisom B dovodi do razvoja spomenute bolesti.

"S obzirom na njegovu medicinsku povijest, vrlo je vjerojatno da se radilo o kombinaciji ova tri faktora, no buduća će istraživanja morati razjasniti u kojoj je mjeri svaki čimbenik utjecao na njegovo zdravlje", otkriva autor studije Tristan Begg, genetičar i doktorand bioloških znanosti i antropologije na Sveučilištu Cambridge u Velikoj Britaniji. Rezultati istraživanja objavljeni su u časopisu Current Biology, prenosi National Geographic.

Poslije ovih otkrića, koja se ne smiju uzeti zdravo za gotovo, zanimanje za slavnoga skladatelja neće biti veće, baš kao što ni poštovanje prema njegovoj glazbi neće biti manje, ali glazbenu i sveukupnu javnost svakako zanima od čega je umro Beethoven.

Ludwig van Beethoven rođen je 1770. i kao što se prije tri godine obilježavalo 250 godina od njegova rođena, 2027. sigurno će se obilježiti i dvjesto godina od njegove smrti.

A kako i ne bi kada se Beethoven smatra jednim od najvećih skladatelja u povijesti. Njegova najpoznatija djela su Peta, Šesta i Deveta simfonija, Za Elizu, Patetična i Mjesečeva sonata.

Skladatelj je već u ranim 20-ima počeo gubiti sluh, a u kasnim 40-ima potpuno je oglušio. Sve to pratili su i brojni drugi zdravstveni problemi, uključujući i bolesti jetre.

Zabrinut za svoje zdravlje, Beethoven se obratio prijatelju i liječniku Johannu Adamu Schmidtu 1802. godine. Međutim, Schmidt ubrzo umire, a Beethoven nastavlja svoju borbu sljedećih 25 godina, da bi 1827. umro od bolesti koja ga je mučila sve te godine. Gotovo dva stoljeća nakon ovog događaja znanstvenici su napravili analize koje su ukazale da za sve postoji genetska, ali i virusna osnova, čime su konačno prestala nagađanja o podrijetlu Beethovenove bolesti, piše National Geographic.

"Ne možemo sa sigurnošću reći što je uzrokovalo Beethovenovu smrt, ali sada možemo barem potvrditi postojanje značajnog nasljednog rizika i infekcije virusom hepatitisa B", kaže koautor studije Johannes Krause, profesor genetike na Institutu "Max Planck".

Znanstvenici koji su radili na studiji dobili su na analizu osam pramenova kose za koje se vjeruje da pripadaju slavnom skladatelju. Nakon analize DNK i usporedbe pojedinih dijelova, istraživači su zaključili da pet niti pripada Beethovenu. Daljnje analize otkrile su da slavni skladatelj ima genetsku predispoziciju za bolesti jetre uzrokovane nasljednim faktorom koji se naziva hemokoromatoza. Kako sugeriraju istraživači, to u kombinaciji s njegovom sklonošću alkoholu i infekcijom hepatitisom B dovodi do razvoja spomenute bolesti.

"S obzirom na njegovu medicinsku povijest, vrlo je vjerojatno da se radilo o kombinaciji ova tri faktora, no buduća će istraživanja morati razjasniti u kojoj je mjeri svaki čimbenik utjecao na njegovo zdravlje", otkriva autor studije Tristan Begg, genetičar i doktorand bioloških znanosti i antropologije na Sveučilištu Cambridge u Velikoj Britaniji. Rezultati istraživanja objavljeni su u časopisu Current Biology, prenosi National Geographic.

Poslije ovih otkrića, koja se ne smiju uzeti zdravo za gotovo, zanimanje za slavnoga skladatelja neće biti veće, baš kao što ni poštovanje prema njegovoj glazbi neće biti manje, ali glazbenu i sveukupnu javnost svakako zanima od čega je umro Beethoven.
