Odluka Europske radiodifuzne unije (EBU) da zabrani zastave Europske unije tijekom subotnjeg finala Eurosonga bila je dar "neprijateljima Europe" smatra potpredsjednik Europske Komisije, Margaritis Schinas.

"Zapanjujuće je ono što je EBU napravio", rekao je Schinas za POLITICO, nakon što je finale glazbenog natjecanja bilo zasjenjeno političkim kontroverzama.

Povjerenik je rekao da je odluka EBU-a da po "prvi put" ne uključi zastave, osim zemalja sudionica, bila u krivom trenutku s obzirom na europske izbore sljedećeg mjeseca i u vrijeme kada su se tisuće gruzijskih prosvjednika okupile na ulicama Tbilisija u znak podrške demokratske vrijednosti koje zastupa EU.

Glasnogovornik predsjednice Komisije, Ursule von der Leyen, kritizirao je potez EBU-a.

"Žalosno je zabraniti zastavu koja je zastava svih članica EU-a i ostalih članica Vijeća Europe, koje sudjeluju u natjecanju i često vijori uz njihove nacionalne zastave na javnim zgradama", kazao je.

"Ne mogu pronaći logično objašnjenje zašto EBU ovo radi. Manje je od mjesec dana do europskih izbora, tko dobiva zabranom zastave EU na Eurosongu? Samo euroskeptici i neprijatelji Europe", rekao je Schinas.

Glasnogovornik EBU-a rekao je da je politika zastava Eurosonga ove godine "ista kao i 2023.", s tim da je obožavateljima dopušteno ponijeti samo zastave "zemalja sudionica i zastave duginih boja". Ipak, snimke prošlogodišnjeg događaja, prenose mediji, jasno pokazuju mnoštvo zastava EU-a u publici.

Schinas je rekao da će to pitanje pokrenuti s upravom EBU-a.

"Razgovarat ću s njima. Neću dopustiti da ovo ovako prođe. Tražit ću objašnjenja i pojašnjenja", kazao je.

Odluka Europske radiodifuzne unije (EBU) da zabrani zastave Europske unije tijekom subotnjeg finala Eurosonga bila je dar "neprijateljima Europe" smatra potpredsjednik Europske Komisije, Margaritis Schinas.

"Zapanjujuće je ono što je EBU napravio", rekao je Schinas za POLITICO, nakon što je finale glazbenog natjecanja bilo zasjenjeno političkim kontroverzama.

Povjerenik je rekao da je odluka EBU-a da po "prvi put" ne uključi zastave, osim zemalja sudionica, bila u krivom trenutku s obzirom na europske izbore sljedećeg mjeseca i u vrijeme kada su se tisuće gruzijskih prosvjednika okupile na ulicama Tbilisija u znak podrške demokratske vrijednosti koje zastupa EU.

Glasnogovornik predsjednice Komisije, Ursule von der Leyen, kritizirao je potez EBU-a.

"Žalosno je zabraniti zastavu koja je zastava svih članica EU-a i ostalih članica Vijeća Europe, koje sudjeluju u natjecanju i često vijori uz njihove nacionalne zastave na javnim zgradama", kazao je.

"Ne mogu pronaći logično objašnjenje zašto EBU ovo radi. Manje je od mjesec dana do europskih izbora, tko dobiva zabranom zastave EU na Eurosongu? Samo euroskeptici i neprijatelji Europe", rekao je Schinas.

Glasnogovornik EBU-a rekao je da je politika zastava Eurosonga ove godine "ista kao i 2023.", s tim da je obožavateljima dopušteno ponijeti samo zastave "zemalja sudionica i zastave duginih boja". Ipak, snimke prošlogodišnjeg događaja, prenose mediji, jasno pokazuju mnoštvo zastava EU-a u publici.
