Posljednjih nekoliko godina nordijski božićni patuljci ili gnomovi kao da su postali "obavezna božićna dekoracija".

Mnogi od nas ih imaju u svojim domovima, neki skupljaju i čitave kolekcije, no što zapravo znamo o njma?

Ova mala simpatična "bića" potječu iz Švedske, spominju se još u 16. stoljeću, a legenda kaže: "Ako ste dobri prema njima, vratit će vam istom mjerom!". Nastali su iz skandinavskog folklora, spominju se kao "kućni patuljci", koji su živjeli u kući ili ispod nje.

Njihova "funkcija" je bila zaštita djece i životinja na farmi od nesreće i i zla, osobito noću, kao i donošenje sreće obitelji. Slatke srećonoše nazivaju se još Tomte ili Nisse. Nestašni domaći duhovi, po nordijskoj predaji, odgovorni su za zaštitu i dobrobit seoskog imanja.

Za razliku od Djeda Mraza, po predaji koriste ulazna vrata i žive u šumama skandinavskih zemalja, a pretpostavka je da ih je kreirala mašta, kako bi se ljudi osjećali manje usamljenima tijekom dugih i hladnih zimskih dana.

Krase ih duga brada i mali nosić koji viri ispod šiljaste kape. Gnomovi su u božićnim dekoracijama stekli status poput već kultnog Orašara, koji je božićni hit već godinama. Najpopularniji gnomovi su oni na kojima prevladavaju crvena, bijela te siva boja.

Dekorirati prostor s njima možete na razne načine. Možete ih objesiti na bor, vrata, implementirati u blagdanski stol, prozor ili u neki drugi kutak. Naravno, patuljak može biti jedan, a možete ih i grupirati.

Kako su i gnomovi i Orašari posljednjih godina definitivno nadmašili tradicionalne načine božićnog ukrašavanja, za mišljenje o takvim promjenama i trendovima pitali smo i splitskog svećenika, don Antu Žderića. 

"U našem društvu zadnjih godina je vidljivo da se pojavljuju novi elementi koji do sada nisu bili prisutni niti u tradiciji, niti u suvremenoj kulturi. Tako i pojava Halloweena koji se obilježava u vremenu proslava blagdana Svih svetih i Dušnog dana, kao i obilježavanje Božića ukrašavanjem i pojavom likova poput patuljaka, gnomova, orašara i sličnih.

Primjetno je da oni na neki način pokušavaju nadomjestiti elemente tradicijske kulture koja je obilježavala ova vremena, dakle vrijeme Svih svetih, došašća i božićnog vremena. No, prirodno je da stare elemente zamjenjuju novi, tako je bilo početkom 20. stoljeća i s običajem kićenja bora, koji je u Hrvatsku došao preko Austro-Ugarske.

Danas kuglice na boru simboliziraju plodove. Crkva je to blagonaklono gledala jer je povezala taj običaj s Božićem. Novi kulturološki elementi kao što su slavljenje Halloweena i pojava patuljaka, gnomova i orašara u došašću i božićnom vremenu imaju porijeklou mitologiji zapadne Europe. Ti elementi sami po sebi nisu loši, ako bismo ih mogli ukomponirati u hrvatsko društvo i kulturu. Međutim, treba gledati šire.

Orašari, gnomovi i patuljci se nameću kao nadomjestak za jaslice. U tom smislu to nije dobro. Zato s tim ukrasima treba oprezno, jer bit Božića je rođenje Isusa Krista, a ne u gnomovima ili patuljcima ili orašarima ili kićenju bora. Nije to loše ako ne zamjenjuje događaj proslave otajstva Isusa Krista, koji je zapravo temelj tog elementa proslave Božića.

Ako imamo Božić bez Isusa Krista, tj. bez Boga, onda bi to bila proslava rođendana bez slavljenika" - komentirao je don Ante Žderić za Slobodnu Dalmaciju.

Posljednjih nekoliko godina nordijski božićni patuljci ili gnomovi kao da su postali "obavezna božićna dekoracija".

Mnogi od nas ih imaju u svojim domovima, neki skupljaju i čitave kolekcije, no što zapravo znamo o njma?

Ova mala simpatična "bića" potječu iz Švedske, spominju se još u 16. stoljeću, a legenda kaže: "Ako ste dobri prema njima, vratit će vam istom mjerom!". Nastali su iz skandinavskog folklora, spominju se kao "kućni patuljci", koji su živjeli u kući ili ispod nje.

Njihova "funkcija" je bila zaštita djece i životinja na farmi od nesreće i i zla, osobito noću, kao i donošenje sreće obitelji. Slatke srećonoše nazivaju se još Tomte ili Nisse. Nestašni domaći duhovi, po nordijskoj predaji, odgovorni su za zaštitu i dobrobit seoskog imanja.

Za razliku od Djeda Mraza, po predaji koriste ulazna vrata i žive u šumama skandinavskih zemalja, a pretpostavka je da ih je kreirala mašta, kako bi se ljudi osjećali manje usamljenima tijekom dugih i hladnih zimskih dana.

Krase ih duga brada i mali nosić koji viri ispod šiljaste kape. Gnomovi su u božićnim dekoracijama stekli status poput već kultnog Orašara, koji je božićni hit već godinama. Najpopularniji gnomovi su oni na kojima prevladavaju crvena, bijela te siva boja.

Dekorirati prostor s njima možete na razne načine. Možete ih objesiti na bor, vrata, implementirati u blagdanski stol, prozor ili u neki drugi kutak. Naravno, patuljak može biti jedan, a možete ih i grupirati.

Kako su i gnomovi i Orašari posljednjih godina definitivno nadmašili tradicionalne načine božićnog ukrašavanja, za mišljenje o takvim promjenama i trendovima pitali smo i splitskog svećenika, don Antu Žderića. 

"U našem društvu zadnjih godina je vidljivo da se pojavljuju novi elementi koji do sada nisu bili prisutni niti u tradiciji, niti u suvremenoj kulturi. Tako i pojava Halloweena koji se obilježava u vremenu proslava blagdana Svih svetih i Dušnog dana, kao i obilježavanje Božića ukrašavanjem i pojavom likova poput patuljaka, gnomova, orašara i sličnih.

Primjetno je da oni na neki način pokušavaju nadomjestiti elemente tradicijske kulture koja je obilježavala ova vremena, dakle vrijeme Svih svetih, došašća i božićnog vremena. No, prirodno je da stare elemente zamjenjuju novi, tako je bilo početkom 20. stoljeća i s običajem kićenja bora, koji je u Hrvatsku došao preko Austro-Ugarske.

Danas kuglice na boru simboliziraju plodove. Crkva je to blagonaklono gledala jer je povezala taj običaj s Božićem. Novi kulturološki elementi kao što su slavljenje Halloweena i pojava patuljaka, gnomova i orašara u došašću i božićnom vremenu imaju porijeklou mitologiji zapadne Europe. Ti elementi sami po sebi nisu loši, ako bismo ih mogli ukomponirati u hrvatsko društvo i kulturu. Međutim, treba gledati šire.

Orašari, gnomovi i patuljci se nameću kao nadomjestak za jaslice. U tom smislu to nije dobro. Zato s tim ukrasima treba oprezno, jer bit Božića je rođenje Isusa Krista, a ne u gnomovima ili patuljcima ili orašarima ili kićenju bora. Nije to loše ako ne zamjenjuje događaj proslave otajstva Isusa Krista, koji je zapravo temelj tog elementa proslave Božića.

Ako imamo Božić bez Isusa Krista, tj. bez Boga, onda bi to bila proslava rođendana bez slavljenika" - komentirao je don Ante Žderić za Slobodnu Dalmaciju.
