Kako piše Health.com, glumica želi da joj se odstrane jajnici.

Kako je napisala u svojoj kolumni, utvrđeno je da je nositeljica gena BRCA1, koji jako uvećava mogućnost od odboljenja od karcinoma, bolesti koja je pokosila njenu majku Marcheline Bertrand, pa je odstranjivanjem dojki smanjila mogućnost da dobije karcinom s 87 posto na ispod 5 posto.

Iz istog razloga, piše Health, glumičini liječnici izračunali su da ima 50 posto šanse da dobije rak jajnika, a kako se ovim zahvatom izgledi snižavaju za 80 posto, Angelina ih namjerava odstraniti. Svoju je namjeru natuknula i u nedavnom intervjuu za entertainment Weekley, otkrivši da uskoro ide na još jednu ozbiljnu operaciju.

Njena odluka da se podvrgne dvostrukoj mastektomiji izazvala je brojne kontroverze. Obitelj joj je pružila punu podršku, no neki stručnjaci su naknadno ustvrdili da je zahvat bio nepotreban.

Kako je napisala u svojoj kolumni, utvrđeno je da je nositeljica gena BRCA1, koji jako uvećava mogućnost od odboljenja od karcinoma, bolesti koja je pokosila njenu majku Marcheline Bertrand, pa je odstranjivanjem dojki smanjila mogućnost da dobije karcinom s 87 posto na ispod 5 posto.

Iz istog razloga, piše Health, glumičini liječnici izračunali su da ima 50 posto šanse da dobije rak jajnika, a kako se ovim zahvatom izgledi snižavaju za 80 posto, Angelina ih namjerava odstraniti. Svoju je namjeru natuknula i u nedavnom intervjuu za entertainment Weekley, otkrivši da uskoro ide na još jednu ozbiljnu operaciju.

Njena odluka da se podvrgne dvostrukoj mastektomiji izazvala je brojne kontroverze. Obitelj joj je pružila punu podršku, no neki stručnjaci su naknadno ustvrdili da je zahvat bio nepotreban.
