Glazbeno-plesni filmovi uzeli su toliko maha posljednjih nekoliko godina da braća Wayans (“Scary Movie”), dežurni parodičari trendovskih žanrova, upravo spremaju “Dance Flick”, i to točno deset godina nakon Gibonnijeve pjesme u kojoj je svoje znanje na podiju usporedio s onim šumskog medvjeda. Hoće li se u njihovom friškom projektu na meti naći i “Kad nešto želiš”, aktualni DVD-novitet u hrvatskim videotekama, nije poznato.

No, ako će ismijavati klišeje hitova poput “Step Up 1&2”, a nedvojbeno hoće, publika bi mogla prepoznati i pokoju scenu iz “Make It Happen”. Naime, “Kad nešto želiš” svojevrsni je filmski “Frankenstein” sklopljen od poznatijih celuloidnih dijelova (npr. “Flashdance”, “Djevojke iz Coyote bara”, “8 milja”...).

Plakat mu je, ilustracije radi, identičan onome za “Step Up 2”, a priča o djevojki-sanjarki (Mary Elizabeth Winstead - “Otporan na smrt”, “Umri muški 4,0”) iz maloga grada, koja u “odjeći što uništava seksepil” dolazi u Chicago na audiciju za plesnu akademiju i završi (privremeno) na pozornici burlesknog bara, na kojoj se sukobljava sa suparnicom (Julissa Bermudez), svojevrsni je remake promašaja po imenu “Showgirls”.

Kako se iza kamere ne nalazi stari dobri provokator Paul Verhoeven, nego stanoviti Darren Grant, a Mary Elizabeth Winstead, unatoč srednjem imenu, nije Elizabeth Berkley, jasno je da film, koliko god “seksi” bio dok prikazuje već viđena plesna uvijanja i izvijanja, neće počivati na eksplicitnim scenama golotinje i seksa, premda bi one jamačno unijele dašak osvježenja i subverzije u izlizani žanrovski koncept.

Winsteadica ima seksepila, šarma i mota, ali što joj to vrijedi kad joj odmažu neinventivna režija, ritam filma koji je za “prijeki sud” i dijalozi tanji od njezina dojmljivo isklesana trbuščića. Ako je ples “ogledalo duše”, “Kad nešto želiš” mahom zrcali dušu Gibonnijevog “šumskog medvjeda”. Ne zna plesat'.

Glazbeno-plesni filmovi uzeli su toliko maha posljednjih nekoliko godina da braća Wayans (“Scary Movie”), dežurni parodičari trendovskih žanrova, upravo spremaju “Dance Flick”, i to točno deset godina nakon Gibonnijeve pjesme u kojoj je svoje znanje na podiju usporedio s onim šumskog medvjeda. Hoće li se u njihovom friškom projektu na meti naći i “Kad nešto želiš”, aktualni DVD-novitet u hrvatskim videotekama, nije poznato.

No, ako će ismijavati klišeje hitova poput “Step Up 1&2”, a nedvojbeno hoće, publika bi mogla prepoznati i pokoju scenu iz “Make It Happen”. Naime, “Kad nešto želiš” svojevrsni je filmski “Frankenstein” sklopljen od poznatijih celuloidnih dijelova (npr. “Flashdance”, “Djevojke iz Coyote bara”, “8 milja”...).

Plakat mu je, ilustracije radi, identičan onome za “Step Up 2”, a priča o djevojki-sanjarki (Mary Elizabeth Winstead - “Otporan na smrt”, “Umri muški 4,0”) iz maloga grada, koja u “odjeći što uništava seksepil” dolazi u Chicago na audiciju za plesnu akademiju i završi (privremeno) na pozornici burlesknog bara, na kojoj se sukobljava sa suparnicom (Julissa Bermudez), svojevrsni je remake promašaja po imenu “Showgirls”.

Kako se iza kamere ne nalazi stari dobri provokator Paul Verhoeven, nego stanoviti Darren Grant, a Mary Elizabeth Winstead, unatoč srednjem imenu, nije Elizabeth Berkley, jasno je da film, koliko god “seksi” bio dok prikazuje već viđena plesna uvijanja i izvijanja, neće počivati na eksplicitnim scenama golotinje i seksa, premda bi one jamačno unijele dašak osvježenja i subverzije u izlizani žanrovski koncept.

Winsteadica ima seksepila, šarma i mota, ali što joj to vrijedi kad joj odmažu neinventivna režija, ritam filma koji je za “prijeki sud” i dijalozi tanji od njezina dojmljivo isklesana trbuščića. Ako je ples “ogledalo duše”, “Kad nešto želiš” mahom zrcali dušu Gibonnijevog “šumskog medvjeda”. Ne zna plesat'.
