U ponedjeljak je u Londonu otvorena 57. godišnja izložba portreta, koju organizira ugledno Društvo portretnih kipara (The Society of Portrait Sculptors) koje djeluje pod kapom još uglednijeg Royal British Society of Sculptors, a na izložbi je i – Oliver Dragojević.

Rad mladog akademskog kipara iz Splita Duje Matetića tako je našega proslavljenog pjevača barem virtualno vratio na mjesto njegova zvjezdanog trenutka, kad je, sjećamo se, prije 11 godina održao svoj poznati koncert u Royal Albert Hallu.

Zbog epidemiološke situacije izložba nazvana "Face 2021" je, za sada, virtualne naravi te portret Olivera Dragojevića u prirodnoj veličini, napravljen od akrilne smole, nije i fizički otputovao u London, no to, dakako, nije isključeno. Kako je izložba djelomice i prodajnoga karaktera, tako je i Oliver ponuđen na otkup – u akrilu košta dvije tisuće funti, a ako bi se odlio u broncu, koštat će 3500 funti.

– Jako sam sretan što je moj rad izabran na ovom velikom međunarodnom natječaju – kazao je za Slobodnu Dalmaciju Duje Matetić, kipar i asistent na splitskoj Umjetničkoj akademiji.

Prati ih 20 tisuća ljudi

– Naime, britansko Društvo portretnih kipara je jedno od onih velikih udruga koje promiču figurativno kiparstvo, a to je nekako moja strast. Oni svake godine iz velikog broja radova izaberu samo sedamdesetak izložaka, a samo trećina su portreti kipara iz drugih zemalja, tako da smatram da je to za mene veliki uspjeh, naći se u tom uskom krugu. Istina, izložba je virtualna, poslao sam u London snimke portreta kakve su u propozicijama tražili, ali kako organizatori imaju više od 20 tisuća ljudi koji ih prate preko društvenih mreža, izložba ima veliku publiku – kaže umjetnik.

I doista, na web-stranici Društva portretnih kipara nalazi se rad splitskoga kipara, koji je opisan kao "portret pokojnog Olivera Dragojevića, proslavljenog hrvatskog pjevača i umjetnika koji je jednom nastupao i u Royal Albert Hallu".

– Na ovoj izložbi nalazi se prekrasan niz lijepih i uzbudljivih portretnih skulptura – ističe Marcus Cornish, predsjednik The Society of Portrait Sculptors.

– Unatoč pandemiji, primili smo veći broj prijava nego ikad prije, a više od pedeset posto došlo je iz zemalja izvan Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva. To nam je, među ostalim, omogućilo da steknemo širok, bogat i utemeljen uvid u portretno kiparstvo u čitavom svijetu.

U odnosu na prethodne godine, kada se izložba u potpunosti održavala u galeriji La Galleria Pall Mall u samom centru Londona, nedaleko od Trafalgar Squarea, ovogodišnja je, osim javne prezentacije dijela izložaka, dostupna i online.

– Iako sam Oliverov portret oblikovao intimistički, "za svoju dušu", bez premisa da bih ga negdje izložio, kada se otvorio natječaj za izložbu, bilo je to u veljači, odlučio sam ga prijaviti ponajviše zbog poveznice Olivera Dragojevića s Londonom, u nadi da će na jedan posthuman način kroz moje ruke ponovno otputovati na mjesto gdje je 2010. održao svoj poznati koncert – kaže Duje Matetić.

– Razumijem da možda moja generacija nije toliko vezana uz glazbu kakvu je izvodio Dragojević, ali... Zapravo, na neki način smo ipak svi vezani uz te melodije, one su dio našeg života bez obzira na to jesmo li obožavatelji ili tek slušatelji radijskog programa. On je imao karizmu, a imao je i vrlo podatno lice, lice koje me je privuklo za oblikovanje. Zadovoljan sam – dodao je mladi kipar.

Duje Matetić završio je Školu likovnih umjetnosti u Splitu te nakon toga i Umjetničku akademiju Sveučilišta u Splitu, gdje je prije četiri godine završio diplomski studij na odsjeku Kiparstvo, gdje već tri godine radi u zvanju asistenta.

Izlagao je na više skupnih i jednoj samostalnoj izložbi, autor je i sudionik većeg broja projekata, a premda vrlo mlad – ima tek 29 godina – nekoliko djela već mu je postavljeno u javni prostor. Recimo i to, rođen je 1992., one iste godine kad je Oliver Dragojević izdao album "Teško mi je putovati", a na njemu, među ostalima, i pjesmu "Neka se drugi raduju". Kako život piše najbolje priče, tako ispada da Oliveru ni posthumno, tri godine nakon smrti, ipak nije teško putovati, pogotovo ne u London, a i Duje Matetić ima se čemu radovati...

U ponedjeljak je u Londonu otvorena 57. godišnja izložba portreta, koju organizira ugledno Društvo portretnih kipara (The Society of Portrait Sculptors) koje djeluje pod kapom još uglednijeg Royal British Society of Sculptors, a na izložbi je i – Oliver Dragojević.

Rad mladog akademskog kipara iz Splita Duje Matetića tako je našega proslavljenog pjevača barem virtualno vratio na mjesto njegova zvjezdanog trenutka, kad je, sjećamo se, prije 11 godina održao svoj poznati koncert u Royal Albert Hallu.

Zbog epidemiološke situacije izložba nazvana "Face 2021" je, za sada, virtualne naravi te portret Olivera Dragojevića u prirodnoj veličini, napravljen od akrilne smole, nije i fizički otputovao u London, no to, dakako, nije isključeno. Kako je izložba djelomice i prodajnoga karaktera, tako je i Oliver ponuđen na otkup – u akrilu košta dvije tisuće funti, a ako bi se odlio u broncu, koštat će 3500 funti.

– Jako sam sretan što je moj rad izabran na ovom velikom međunarodnom natječaju – kazao je za Slobodnu Dalmaciju Duje Matetić, kipar i asistent na splitskoj Umjetničkoj akademiji.

Prati ih 20 tisuća ljudi

– Naime, britansko Društvo portretnih kipara je jedno od onih velikih udruga koje promiču figurativno kiparstvo, a to je nekako moja strast. Oni svake godine iz velikog broja radova izaberu samo sedamdesetak izložaka, a samo trećina su portreti kipara iz drugih zemalja, tako da smatram da je to za mene veliki uspjeh, naći se u tom uskom krugu. Istina, izložba je virtualna, poslao sam u London snimke portreta kakve su u propozicijama tražili, ali kako organizatori imaju više od 20 tisuća ljudi koji ih prate preko društvenih mreža, izložba ima veliku publiku – kaže umjetnik.

I doista, na web-stranici Društva portretnih kipara nalazi se rad splitskoga kipara, koji je opisan kao "portret pokojnog Olivera Dragojevića, proslavljenog hrvatskog pjevača i umjetnika koji je jednom nastupao i u Royal Albert Hallu".

– Na ovoj izložbi nalazi se prekrasan niz lijepih i uzbudljivih portretnih skulptura – ističe Marcus Cornish, predsjednik The Society of Portrait Sculptors.

– Unatoč pandemiji, primili smo veći broj prijava nego ikad prije, a više od pedeset posto došlo je iz zemalja izvan Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva. To nam je, među ostalim, omogućilo da steknemo širok, bogat i utemeljen uvid u portretno kiparstvo u čitavom svijetu.

U odnosu na prethodne godine, kada se izložba u potpunosti održavala u galeriji La Galleria Pall Mall u samom centru Londona, nedaleko od Trafalgar Squarea, ovogodišnja je, osim javne prezentacije dijela izložaka, dostupna i online.

– Iako sam Oliverov portret oblikovao intimistički, "za svoju dušu", bez premisa da bih ga negdje izložio, kada se otvorio natječaj za izložbu, bilo je to u veljači, odlučio sam ga prijaviti ponajviše zbog poveznice Olivera Dragojevića s Londonom, u nadi da će na jedan posthuman način kroz moje ruke ponovno otputovati na mjesto gdje je 2010. održao svoj poznati koncert – kaže Duje Matetić.

– Razumijem da možda moja generacija nije toliko vezana uz glazbu kakvu je izvodio Dragojević, ali... Zapravo, na neki način smo ipak svi vezani uz te melodije, one su dio našeg života bez obzira na to jesmo li obožavatelji ili tek slušatelji radijskog programa. On je imao karizmu, a imao je i vrlo podatno lice, lice koje me je privuklo za oblikovanje. Zadovoljan sam – dodao je mladi kipar.

Duje Matetić završio je Školu likovnih umjetnosti u Splitu te nakon toga i Umjetničku akademiju Sveučilišta u Splitu, gdje je prije četiri godine završio diplomski studij na odsjeku Kiparstvo, gdje već tri godine radi u zvanju asistenta.

Izlagao je na više skupnih i jednoj samostalnoj izložbi, autor je i sudionik većeg broja projekata, a premda vrlo mlad – ima tek 29 godina – nekoliko djela već mu je postavljeno u javni prostor. Recimo i to, rođen je 1992., one iste godine kad je Oliver Dragojević izdao album "Teško mi je putovati", a na njemu, među ostalima, i pjesmu "Neka se drugi raduju". Kako život piše najbolje priče, tako ispada da Oliveru ni posthumno, tri godine nakon smrti, ipak nije teško putovati, pogotovo ne u London, a i Duje Matetić ima se čemu radovati...

U ponedjeljak je u Londonu otvorena 57. godišnja izložba portreta, koju organizira ugledno Društvo portretnih kipara (The Society of Portrait Sculptors) koje djeluje pod kapom još uglednijeg Royal British Society of Sculptors, a na izložbi je i – Oliver Dragojević.

Rad mladog akademskog kipara iz Splita Duje Matetića tako je našega proslavljenog pjevača barem virtualno vratio na mjesto njegova zvjezdanog trenutka, kad je, sjećamo se, prije 11 godina održao svoj poznati koncert u Royal Albert Hallu.

Zbog epidemiološke situacije izložba nazvana "Face 2021" je, za sada, virtualne naravi te portret Olivera Dragojevića u prirodnoj veličini, napravljen od akrilne smole, nije i fizički otputovao u London, no to, dakako, nije isključeno. Kako je izložba djelomice i prodajnoga karakte...
