U Gradskoj galeriji Sikirica u Sinju otvorena je velika retrospektivna izložba naslovljena "Stipe Sikirica – blizina čovjeka i zavičaja", a u povodu 90. rođendana Stipe Sikirice. Prenoseći okupljenim Sinjanima i njihovim gostima pozdrave slavljenika, izložbu je otvorila Jelena Sikirica Čavar, kćerka Stipe Sikirice, a o izložbi, životnom i umjetničkom putu barda hrvatske likovne umjetnosti i njegovoj odluci da sav svoj umjetnički opus daruje Gradu Sinju prigodno su govorili Dragana Modrić, ravnateljica Galerije, fra Mirko Marić, predsjednik Matice Hrvatske u Sinju, gradonačelnik Miro Bulj, Stipin brat Nediljko Sikirica i potpisnik ovih redaka.

Otkako je upravo u Sinju danas daleke 1957. godine kao svoj prvi rad postavio skulpturu Djevojka na izvoru, koju Sinjani nazivaju Luca, Stipe Sikirica izradio je i u javni prostor diljem Hrvatske i izvan njenih granica u javni prostor postavio mnogobrojne skulpture.

Iako su sve te skulpture, zahvaljujući umjetnikovoj vještini, sjedinjene s prostorom i oplemenjuju ga, Sikirica je uvijek naglašavao, a to je i dokazivao svojim djelima, da su mu zavičaj, rodno selo Jabuka i triljski kraj, Sinj i cijela Dalmatinska zagora i u njoj Alka i Gospa Sinjska, bili i ostali nepresušni izvor inspiracije.

To vrelo nadopunio je prijateljevanjem s uglednicima hrvatskog kulturnog i društvenog života koji su se okupljali u njegovu ateljeu u zagrebačkoj Medulićevoj ulici, gdje umjetnik i danas najrađe zalazi. Sinj je ponosan što njegove javne prostore već desetljećima, uz spomenutu Djevojku na izvoru, ukrašavaju skulptura Alkar koja je obilježila vizuru alkarskog grada, Vratnice crkve Gospe Sinjske koje su Sikiričino remek-djelo, a tu su još Štit veliki vojvode alkarskog i alkarski zlatnici i srebrnjaci.

Izložba "Stipe Sikirica – blizina čovjeka i zavičaja" koja govori upravo o čvrstoj povezanosti umjetnika sa zavičajem, obitelji i prijateljima biti će otvorena do 1. rujna.

U Gradskoj galeriji Sikirica u Sinju otvorena je velika retrospektivna izložba naslovljena "Stipe Sikirica – blizina čovjeka i zavičaja", a u povodu 90. rođendana Stipe Sikirice. Prenoseći okupljenim Sinjanima i njihovim gostima pozdrave slavljenika, izložbu je otvorila Jelena Sikirica Čavar, kćerka Stipe Sikirice, a o izložbi, životnom i umjetničkom putu barda hrvatske likovne umjetnosti i njegovoj odluci da sav svoj umjetnički opus daruje Gradu Sinju prigodno su govorili Dragana Modrić, ravnateljica Galerije, fra Mirko Marić, predsjednik Matice Hrvatske u Sinju, gradonačelnik Miro Bulj, Stipin brat Nediljko Sikirica i potpisnik ovih redaka.

Otkako je upravo u Sinju danas daleke 1957. godine kao svoj prvi rad postavio skulpturu Djevojka na izvoru, koju Sinjani nazivaju Luca, Stipe Sikirica izradio je i u javni prostor diljem Hrvatske i izvan njenih granica u javni prostor postavio mnogobrojne skulpture.

Iako su sve te skulpture, zahvaljujući umjetnikovoj vještini, sjedinjene s prostorom i oplemenjuju ga, Sikirica je uvijek naglašavao, a to je i dokazivao svojim djelima, da su mu zavičaj, rodno selo Jabuka i triljski kraj, Sinj i cijela Dalmatinska zagora i u njoj Alka i Gospa Sinjska, bili i ostali nepresušni izvor inspiracije.

To vrelo nadopunio je prijateljevanjem s uglednicima hrvatskog kulturnog i društvenog života koji su se okupljali u njegovu ateljeu u zagrebačkoj Medulićevoj ulici, gdje umjetnik i danas najrađe zalazi. Sinj je ponosan što njegove javne prostore već desetljećima, uz spomenutu Djevojku na izvoru, ukrašavaju skulptura Alkar koja je obilježila vizuru alkarskog grada, Vratnice crkve Gospe Sinjske koje su Sikiričino remek-djelo, a tu su još Štit veliki vojvode alkarskog i alkarski zlatnici i srebrnjaci.

Izložba "Stipe Sikirica – blizina čovjeka i zavičaja" koja govori upravo o čvrstoj povezanosti umjetnika sa zavičajem, obitelji i prijateljima biti će otvorena do 1. rujna.
