Oko 70 posto leksike na otoku Visu je stranog podrijetla iz drugih mediteranskih jezika, rekao je prof. emeritus Joško Božanić  na tribini na temu "More kao put - priča o jeziku i kulturi."

Filolog Božanić je istaknuo kako je do tog podatka došao osobnim istraživanjem jezika na tom hrvatskom otoku.

Objasnio je da je govor na Visu ilustracija mediteranskog jezičnog univerzuma, koji je nastajao stoljećima tako što su stanovnici Mediterana različitih nacija plovili i trgovali međusobno, i tako je stvarana leksika koja će biti razumljiva svima - bez obzira koji im je jezik materinji.

Kao primjere takvog mediteranskog jezičnog univerzuma Božanić je spomenuo riječ "fortuna" koja se diljem Mediterana koristi sa značenjem "oluja." Naveo je kao primjer i riječ "majnat" koja znači "spustiti jedro," te riječ "cima" koja na Mediteranu znači "kraj užeta."

Božanić se zapitao - zašto naša (hrvatska) standardna leksikografija ne prihvaća tu leksiku koja je nastajala na Mediteranu i koja je odrednica Jadranske kulture?

"Riječi koje žive u nekom jeziku više od tisuću godina ne treba smatrati stranim riječima," smatra Božanić. Dodao je kako veliki jezici ne zaziru od tuđica te je naveo primjer engleskog jezika koji je prihvatio mnoštvo riječi tuđica iz engleskih kolonija.

Po njegovom tumačenju, osim leksike, važne odrednice Jadranske kulture su - brod i humor.

"Brod je sredstvo komunikacije i po dolasku na Jadran Hrvati su usvajali znanja o brodogradnji," naglasio je.

Za poseban humor na Jadranu, Božanić je kazao da taj humor funkcionira "kao iskustvo paradoksalnog."

"Nema humora bez paradoksa," poručio je, dodavši kako je smisao tog Jadranskog fenomena humora što život sagledava s humorne strane.

"Taj humor je ne samo ismijavanje drugoga nego i sebe," dodao je.

Predsjednica Udruge Prokultura, Nansi Ivanišević, je istaknula da prof. Božanić polazi od teze da je mediteranska komponenta hrvatske kulture ostala trajno periferna, iako je civilizacijski bila važna kao poveznica Hrvatske i Hrvata s mediteranskim kulturnim i civilizacijskim krugom.

"Jadran, kao zaljev Mediterana koji se usjekao najdublje u europski kontinent, ima šest tisuća kilometara dugu kontinentalnu i otočku obalu Hrvatske," kazala je Ivanišević.

Zaključuje da Božanić govori o konceptu mora kao vezi i poveznici, nasuprot konceptu izolacije i odvojenosti.

Oko 70 posto leksike na otoku Visu je stranog podrijetla iz drugih mediteranskih jezika, rekao je prof. emeritus Joško Božanić  na tribini na temu "More kao put - priča o jeziku i kulturi."

Filolog Božanić je istaknuo kako je do tog podatka došao osobnim istraživanjem jezika na tom hrvatskom otoku.

Objasnio je da je govor na Visu ilustracija mediteranskog jezičnog univerzuma, koji je nastajao stoljećima tako što su stanovnici Mediterana različitih nacija plovili i trgovali međusobno, i tako je stvarana leksika koja će biti razumljiva svima - bez obzira koji im je jezik materinji.

Kao primjere takvog mediteranskog jezičnog univerzuma Božanić je spomenuo riječ "fortuna" koja se diljem Mediterana koristi sa značenjem "oluja." Naveo je kao primjer i riječ "majnat" koja znači "spustiti jedro," te riječ "cima" koja na Mediteranu znači "kraj užeta."

Božanić se zapitao - zašto naša (hrvatska) standardna leksikografija ne prihvaća tu leksiku koja je nastajala na Mediteranu i koja je odrednica Jadranske kulture?

"Riječi koje žive u nekom jeziku više od tisuću godina ne treba smatrati stranim riječima," smatra Božanić. Dodao je kako veliki jezici ne zaziru od tuđica te je naveo primjer engleskog jezika koji je prihvatio mnoštvo riječi tuđica iz engleskih kolonija.

Po njegovom tumačenju, osim leksike, važne odrednice Jadranske kulture su - brod i humor.

"Brod je sredstvo komunikacije i po dolasku na Jadran Hrvati su usvajali znanja o brodogradnji," naglasio je.

Za poseban humor na Jadranu, Božanić je kazao da taj humor funkcionira "kao iskustvo paradoksalnog."

"Nema humora bez paradoksa," poručio je, dodavši kako je smisao tog Jadranskog fenomena humora što život sagledava s humorne strane.

"Taj humor je ne samo ismijavanje drugoga nego i sebe," dodao je.

Predsjednica Udruge Prokultura, Nansi Ivanišević, je istaknula da prof. Božanić polazi od teze da je mediteranska komponenta hrvatske kulture ostala trajno periferna, iako je civilizacijski bila važna kao poveznica Hrvatske i Hrvata s mediteranskim kulturnim i civilizacijskim krugom.

"Jadran, kao zaljev Mediterana koji se usjekao najdublje u europski kontinent, ima šest tisuća kilometara dugu kontinentalnu i otočku obalu Hrvatske," kazala je Ivanišević.

Zaključuje da Božanić govori o konceptu mora kao vezi i poveznici, nasuprot konceptu izolacije i odvojenosti.
