Udbaškim žargonom kazano, Semezdina Mehmedinovića pratim gotovo puna tri desetljeća, od 1992. godine i njegove zbirke "Sarajevo Blues". Da sam zbilja bio (i ostao) neka suvremena inačica Ilije Čvorovića, mogao sam nabiti ozbiljnu kilometražu idući stopama ovoga pisca. Ratne godine on je, doduše, proveo u Sarajevu, gdje mu je, razumljivo, radijus kretanja bio tjeskobno ograničen. No, zato je 1996. otputovao u Sjedinjene Američke Države, mijenjao tamo i gradove i adrese (potonjih ukupno trinaest), da bi se tek prošle godine, nakon skoro četvrt stoljeća odsutnosti, vratio u Sarajevo.

Čovjek za kojega bismo mogli reći da se zemljopisno dugo, cijeloga života tražio, isprve je, međutim, pronašao svoju poetičku nišu. Ili je ipak bolje reći da ju je za sebe izgradio, pošto je nijedan katalog autorskih preferencija nije zabilježio do trenutka kad je Mehmedinović počinjao svoju spisateljsku karijeru. Radi se o autoru koji veći dio svoga života piše (ili je uputnije reći – dopisuje) istu knjigu, čije pojedine dijelove ili nastavke objavljuje manje-više redovitom dinamikom kao zasebna izdanja. U najkraćem, taj se kompozitni libar bavi samo jednom temom: životom koji je presjekao i raspolutio rat, izbacivši piščevu egzistenciju (kao i stotine tisuća drugih) s tračnica rutine i očekivanja, promijenivši joj i smjer i sadržaj.

SVEŽANROVSKA OTVORENOST

Pritom, pisca Mehmedinovića ni najmanje ne intrigira ono što građanina Mehmedinovića, pretpostavljam, itekako zanima. Autor se, naime, ne bavi ni geopolitikom, ni ideologijom, ne piše ni o vojnim formacijama, ni o strukturama političke moći. Zaokupljen je vlastitim svijetom koji je vanjski okružio, stisnuo i nagnječio, toliko snažno da je morao uteći čim je uzmak prestao biti kukavička, a postao herojska gesta. Njegova rahla memoaristika koja jest autobiografska, ali teško da je dokumentarna, jer je, vrlo vjerojatno, makar malo i autofikcijska, stekla je brojnu i vrlo odanu publiku koja uživa u začudnoj kombinaciji poetskog i proznog diskursa, odnosno autorovoj otvorenosti za sve književne vrste i žanrove.

"Ovo vrijeme sada" povratnička je Mehmedinovićeva knjiga koja se bavi njegovim predratnim, ratnim i poratnim, dakle, američkim životom, ali i iskustvom vraćanja na staro, u ambijent koji se promijenio puno više od pisca. Opet se radi o zbirci tekstova/poglavlja koja su zaokružene kratke proze, ali i eseji, putopisni fragmenti te poetska rinfuza začinjena maestralnim autorovim crtežima. Radi se, dakle, o štivu koje nije niti umjesno niti pametno uspoređivati s ičim drugim osim s ranijim autorovim radovima.

ZIPOVANJE DRAME

Junaci ili barem epizodisti ovih zapisa dolaze s različitih strana. Ima, naravno, potpuno anonimna svijeta, ali još i više slavne čeljade, od onih čija je reputacija ograničena i lokalna, pa sve do globalno poznate gospode kao što je, recimo, Gabriel García Márquez. Svaki od tih ljudi/likova upleten je u složenu pripovjednu mustru, odnosno ulančan u mala sinkronijska čuda koja zapis u isti mah uzdižu u visine i spuštaju na zemlju, svodeći ga na ljudsku mjeru. Premda je svaki autorov redak duboko osoban, njegov svijet otvoreno je polje koje nitko ne može osvojiti, ali ga slobodno može posvojiti.

I u ovoj knjizi Mehmedinović je neodoljivo melankoličan (kao, na primjer, u priči o susretu sa starom poznanicom: "Toliko smo se promijenili nas dvoje da u prvi mah nismo prepoznali jedno drugo? Ili se naprosto, naše sjećanje umorilo."), nenametljivo pronicljiv ("Sjedinjene Američke Države postale su upravo onakve kakve su bile države iz kojih se nekada bježalo u Sjedinjene Američke Države.") i iznova osvaja umijećem zipovanja drame u malo riječi ("Majka je stara i bolesna, plaćamo ženu da o njoj brine i da joj pravi društvo. Tiha žena. A danas saznajem, njen je čovjek za ratni zločin ležao deset godina. Nije mi drago zbog toga, uznemiren sam, ali gledam je dok pored otvorenog prozora maše rukama, tjera pčelu iz sobe, i kaže: 'Iš, iš, nema kafe za tebe!'").

Jasno vam je, dakle, kako pripadam sve većemu krugu čitatelja koji vrijeme ne mjere samo po Greenwichu, nego i po Mehmedinoviću, dijeleći ga na razdoblje prije i poslije izlaska neke njegove knjige te nestrpljivo odbrojavajući do publiciranja svake sljedeće. Ako vas do sada nisam uspio uvjeriti da i sami postanete njegova odana publika, dopustite mi još jedan, konačni pokušaj: kako ne voljeti pisca kojemu kiša, kad pada ukoso, pada u kurzivu, i koji mašta o nabavi kera kojemu bi nadjenuo ime Keruak?

Udbaškim žargonom kazano, Semezdina Mehmedinovića pratim gotovo puna tri desetljeća, od 1992. godine i njegove zbirke "Sarajevo Blues". Da sam zbilja bio (i ostao) neka suvremena inačica Ilije Čvorovića, mogao sam nabiti ozbiljnu kilometražu idući stopama ovoga pisca. Ratne godine on je, doduše, proveo u Sarajevu, gdje mu je, razumljivo, radijus kretanja bio tjeskobno ograničen. No, zato je 1996. otputovao u Sjedinjene Američke Države, mijenjao tamo i gradove i adrese (potonjih ukupno trinaest), da bi se tek prošle godine, nakon skoro četvrt stoljeća odsutnosti, vratio u Sarajevo.

Čovjek za kojega bismo mogli reći da se zemljopisno dugo, cijeloga života tražio, isprve je, međutim, pronašao svoju poetičku nišu. Ili je ipak bolje reći da ju je za sebe izgradio, pošto je nijedan katalog autorskih preferencija nije zabilježio do trenutka kad je Mehmedinović počinjao svoju spisateljsku karijeru. Radi se o autoru koji veći dio svoga života piše (ili je uputnije reći – dopisuje) istu knjigu, čije pojedine dijelove ili nastavke objavljuje manje-više redovitom dinamikom kao zasebna izdanja. U najkraćem, taj se kompozitni libar bavi samo jednom temom: životom koji je presjekao i raspolutio rat, izbacivši piščevu egzistenciju (kao i stotine tisuća drugih) s tračnica rutine i očekivanja, promijenivši joj i smjer i sadržaj.

SVEŽANROVSKA OTVORENOST

Pritom, pisca Mehmedinovića ni najmanje ne intrigira ono što građanina Mehmedinovića, pretpostavljam, itekako zanima. Autor se, naime, ne bavi ni geopolitikom, ni ideologijom, ne piše ni o vojnim formacijama, ni o strukturama političke moći. Zaokupljen je vlastitim svijetom koji je vanjski okružio, stisnuo i nagnječio, toliko snažno da je morao uteći čim je uzmak prestao biti kukavička, a postao herojska gesta. Njegova rahla memoaristika koja jest autobiografska, ali teško da je dokumentarna, jer je, vrlo vjerojatno, makar malo i autofikcijska, stekla je brojnu i vrlo odanu publiku koja uživa u začudnoj kombinaciji poetskog i proznog diskursa, odnosno autorovoj otvorenosti za sve književne vrste i žanrove.

"Ovo vrijeme sada" povratnička je Mehmedinovićeva knjiga koja se bavi njegovim predratnim, ratnim i poratnim, dakle, američkim životom, ali i iskustvom vraćanja na staro, u ambijent koji se promijenio puno više od pisca. Opet se radi o zbirci tekstova/poglavlja koja su zaokružene kratke proze, ali i eseji, putopisni fragmenti te poetska rinfuza začinjena maestralnim autorovim crtežima. Radi se, dakle, o štivu koje nije niti umjesno niti pametno uspoređivati s ičim drugim osim s ranijim autorovim radovima.

ZIPOVANJE DRAME

Junaci ili barem epizodisti ovih zapisa dolaze s različitih strana. Ima, naravno, potpuno anonimna svijeta, ali još i više slavne čeljade, od onih čija je reputacija ograničena i lokalna, pa sve do globalno poznate gospode kao što je, recimo, Gabriel García Márquez. Svaki od tih ljudi/likova upleten je u složenu pripovjednu mustru, odnosno ulančan u mala sinkronijska čuda koja zapis u isti mah uzdižu u visine i spuštaju na zemlju, svodeći ga na ljudsku mjeru. Premda je svaki autorov redak duboko osoban, njegov svijet otvoreno je polje koje nitko ne može osvojiti, ali ga slobodno može posvojiti.

I u ovoj knjizi Mehmedinović je neodoljivo melankoličan (kao, na primjer, u priči o susretu sa starom poznanicom: "Toliko smo se promijenili nas dvoje da u prvi mah nismo prepoznali jedno drugo? Ili se naprosto, naše sjećanje umorilo."), nenametljivo pronicljiv ("Sjedinjene Američke Države postale su upravo onakve kakve su bile države iz kojih se nekada bježalo u Sjedinjene Američke Države.") i iznova osvaja umijećem zipovanja drame u malo riječi ("Majka je stara i bolesna, plaćamo ženu da o njoj brine i da joj pravi društvo. Tiha žena. A danas saznajem, njen je čovjek za ratni zločin ležao deset godina. Nije mi drago zbog toga, uznemiren sam, ali gledam je dok pored otvorenog prozora maše rukama, tjera pčelu iz sobe, i kaže: 'Iš, iš, nema kafe za tebe!'").

Jasno vam je, dakle, kako pripadam sve većemu krugu čitatelja koji vrijeme ne mjere samo po Greenwichu, nego i po Mehmedinoviću, dijeleći ga na razdoblje prije i poslije izlaska neke njegove knjige te nestrpljivo odbrojavajući do publiciranja svake sljedeće. Ako vas do sada nisam uspio uvjeriti da i sami postanete njegova odana publika, dopustite mi još jedan, konačni pokušaj: kako ne voljeti pisca kojemu kiša, kad pada ukoso, pada u kurzivu, i koji mašta o nabavi kera kojemu bi nadjenuo ime Keruak?

Udbaškim žargonom kazano, Semezdina Mehmedinovića pratim gotovo puna tri desetljeća, od 1992. godine i njegove zbirke "Sarajevo Blues". Da sam zbilja bio (i ostao) neka suvremena inačica Ilije Čvorovića, mogao sam nabiti ozbiljnu kilometražu idući stopama ovoga pisca. Ratne godine on je, doduše, proveo u Sarajevu, gdje mu je, razumljivo, radijus kretanja bio tjeskobno ograničen. No, zato je 1996. otputovao u Sjedinjene Američke Države, mijenjao tamo i gradove i adrese (potonjih ukupno trinaest), da bi se tek prošle godine, nakon skoro četvrt stoljeća odsutnosti, vratio u Sarajevo.
