Renta li neki neupućeni gledatelj "Nule i jedinice" ("Zeroes and Ones") u hrvatskoj "online" videoteci na konto akcijskog plakata filma, ajme se njemu. S Vatikanom u plamenu i vojnicima ispred njega, "Nule i jedinice" sugeriraju akcijsko-ratni triler s Ethanom Hawkeom u glavnoj ulozi, nekakvu inačicu "Anđela i demona" ili "Inferna", ali film je sušta suprotnost tome – eksperimentalni art.

Ovo je film pandemijsko-karantenskog toka svijesti njegovog redatelja Abela Ferrare ("Okorjeli poručnik"), moguće nastao nakon što je kultni filmaš za vrijeme "lockdowna" gledao niz akcijskih trilera, uključujući i one videotečne s lošim CGI eksplozijama koje je režiser ovdje preuzeo.

Čini se da je Ferrara zaspao usred jednog od njih i usnuo priču "Zeroes and Ones". Tko zna, možda je Ferrara imao viziju filma i kad je "zakljucao" ispred potpisnika ovih redaka tijekom intervjua u Veneciji 2005. godine. Šalu na stranu, Ferrara je otprilike dotad, do 2005., snimao žanrovske filmove, ako već ne akcije, primjerice "Ms. 45", "Fear City", "Cat Chaser", "King Of New York", "Body Snatchers", "The Funeral"..., ali u novom mileniju se okrenuo artističkim ekshibicijama u odnosu na osamdesete i devedesete.

"Nule i jedinice" su djelo novog Ferrare (npr. "Tommaso" i "Siberia", oba s Willemom Dafoeom), a ne starog iz "Bad Lieutenant" perioda. Film je teško prohodan i dokučiv za filmofile upoznate s Ferrarinim suradnjama s Dafoeom, kamoli slučajne namjernike u potrazi za brzinskim akcijsko-trilerskim fiksom, što "Zeroes and Ones" nije i to je jasno odmah u startu, kad se Hawke obraća gledateljima kao Hawke, ne jedan od dvojice likova iz filma (glumi braću).

U tom svojevrsnom prologu, Hawke hvali Ferraru i predstavlja film, naizgled gerilski snimljen na vrhuncu "lockdowna" u Rimu. "Želim vam nešto reći o novom filmu koji sam snimao s Ferrarom. Abelov sam obožavatelj otkako sam se zaljubio u filmove. On je jedinstven i ekstraordinaran filmaš, zna s kamerom i glumcima.

Ovo što je nedavno snimao s Dafoeom me duboko nadahnulo. Zahvalan sam što sam dobio scenarij, posebno jer govori o ovom trenutku, ali ne na neki očiti, didaktički način. Glumim vojno lice pa ne možete biti sigurni jesam li pozitivac ili negativac. Tumačim i vlastitog brata koji je revolucionar. Dva lika različitih gledišta. Jedva čekam da svijet vidi Abelov odgovor na divlju godinu koju smo svi prošli", najavljuje Hawke.

Divlja (koronska) godina otisnuta je u "Nulama i jedinicama": u prvim kadrovima vidimo ljude s maskama, dezinficiranja i prazne ulice Rima, vjerojatni preslik Ferrarine izolirane duše, kojima tumara Hawkeov vojnik. Ferrara tu režira najbolju scenu filma (ne)dvosmislenih konotacija kad Hawke odlaže pravi pištolj dok mu je pištolj za mjerenje temperature uperen u čelo i postaje otprilike jasno što redatelj želi reći o pandemiji i američkom imperijalizmu ("oslobodite se obmanjujućih misli da ste velika nacija").

Međutim, najveći dio filma otpada na (ne)povezane misli izgovorene u "voiceoveru", tipa "Isus je bio tek još jedan vojnik, još jedna žrtva tri tisuće godina dugog rata, ali na čijoj strani?", najviše u trenutku kad rastrojeni Hawke viče "Ne možete me ubiti" i "Ovaj stroj ubija fašiste", testirajući strpljenje i najstrpljivijeg filmofila. Srećom, film traje jedva 80 minuta s uključenim Hawkeovim završnim obraćanjem publici u formi epiloga.

"Pa, film je gotov... Upravo sam ga odgledao kao i vi. Kad mi je Abel dao scenarij (scenarij zapravo nije pravi naziv za ono što mi je poslao), doista nisam razumio ni riječ u njemu. Svidio mi se, ali nisam razumio što se zbiva. Imao sam osjećaj da je netko nešto naumio i htio sam biti dio toga, ali nisam razumio što je htio reći. Sada, nakon gledanja filma, mislim da osjećam da je ono što smo snimali istina... Ovo je dio filma, a sad je gotov", zaključio je Hawke i podigao "Zeroes and Ones" iznad nule i jedinice na dvije i pol zvjezdice.

Renta li neki neupućeni gledatelj "Nule i jedinice" ("Zeroes and Ones") u hrvatskoj "online" videoteci na konto akcijskog plakata filma, ajme se njemu. S Vatikanom u plamenu i vojnicima ispred njega, "Nule i jedinice" sugeriraju akcijsko-ratni triler s Ethanom Hawkeom u glavnoj ulozi, nekakvu inačicu "Anđela i demona" ili "Inferna", ali film je sušta suprotnost tome – eksperimentalni art.

Ovo je film pandemijsko-karantenskog toka svijesti njegovog redatelja Abela Ferrare ("Okorjeli poručnik"), moguće nastao nakon što je kultni filmaš za vrijeme "lockdowna" gledao niz akcijskih trilera, uključujući i one videotečne s lošim CGI eksplozijama koje je režiser ovdje preuzeo.

Čini se da je Ferrara zaspao usred jednog od njih i usnuo priču "Zeroes and Ones". Tko zna, možda je Ferrara imao viziju filma i kad je "zakljucao" ispred potpisnika ovih redaka tijekom intervjua u Veneciji 2005. godine. Šalu na stranu, Ferrara je otprilike dotad, do 2005., snimao žanrovske filmove, ako već ne akcije, primjerice "Ms. 45", "Fear City", "Cat Chaser", "King Of New York", "Body Snatchers", "The Funeral"..., ali u novom mileniju se okrenuo artističkim ekshibicijama u odnosu na osamdesete i devedesete.

"Nule i jedinice" su djelo novog Ferrare (npr. "Tommaso" i "Siberia", oba s Willemom Dafoeom), a ne starog iz "Bad Lieutenant" perioda. Film je teško prohodan i dokučiv za filmofile upoznate s Ferrarinim suradnjama s Dafoeom, kamoli slučajne namjernike u potrazi za brzinskim akcijsko-trilerskim fiksom, što "Zeroes and Ones" nije i to je jasno odmah u startu, kad se Hawke obraća gledateljima kao Hawke, ne jedan od dvojice likova iz filma (glumi braću).

U tom svojevrsnom prologu, Hawke hvali Ferraru i predstavlja film, naizgled gerilski snimljen na vrhuncu "lockdowna" u Rimu. "Želim vam nešto reći o novom filmu koji sam snimao s Ferrarom. Abelov sam obožavatelj otkako sam se zaljubio u filmove. On je jedinstven i ekstraordinaran filmaš, zna s kamerom i glumcima.

Ovo što je nedavno snimao s Dafoeom me duboko nadahnulo. Zahvalan sam što sam dobio scenarij, posebno jer govori o ovom trenutku, ali ne na neki očiti, didaktički način. Glumim vojno lice pa ne možete biti sigurni jesam li pozitivac ili negativac. Tumačim i vlastitog brata koji je revolucionar. Dva lika različitih gledišta. Jedva čekam da svijet vidi Abelov odgovor na divlju godinu koju smo svi prošli", najavljuje Hawke.

Divlja (koronska) godina otisnuta je u "Nulama i jedinicama": u prvim kadrovima vidimo ljude s maskama, dezinficiranja i prazne ulice Rima, vjerojatni preslik Ferrarine izolirane duše, kojima tumara Hawkeov vojnik. Ferrara tu režira najbolju scenu filma (ne)dvosmislenih konotacija kad Hawke odlaže pravi pištolj dok mu je pištolj za mjerenje temperature uperen u čelo i postaje otprilike jasno što redatelj želi reći o pandemiji i američkom imperijalizmu ("oslobodite se obmanjujućih misli da ste velika nacija").

Međutim, najveći dio filma otpada na (ne)povezane misli izgovorene u "voiceoveru", tipa "Isus je bio tek još jedan vojnik, još jedna žrtva tri tisuće godina dugog rata, ali na čijoj strani?", najviše u trenutku kad rastrojeni Hawke viče "Ne možete me ubiti" i "Ovaj stroj ubija fašiste", testirajući strpljenje i najstrpljivijeg filmofila. Srećom, film traje jedva 80 minuta s uključenim Hawkeovim završnim obraćanjem publici u formi epiloga.

"Pa, film je gotov... Upravo sam ga odgledao kao i vi. Kad mi je Abel dao scenarij (scenarij zapravo nije pravi naziv za ono što mi je poslao), doista nisam razumio ni riječ u njemu. Svidio mi se, ali nisam razumio što se zbiva. Imao sam osjećaj da je netko nešto naumio i htio sam biti dio toga, ali nisam razumio što je htio reći. Sada, nakon gledanja filma, mislim da osjećam da je ono što smo snimali istina... Ovo je dio filma, a sad je gotov", zaključio je Hawke i podigao "Zeroes and Ones" iznad nule i jedinice na dvije i pol zvjezdice.

Hawke uskoro u hororu

Ethana Hawkea uskoro ćemo, od 23. lipnja, gledati u rijetkoj ulozi negativca u horor trileru "Crni telefon" redatelja Scotta Derricksona.
