Notre-Dame je u plamenu! Vijest o vatri na znamenitoj pariškoj katedrali, “najposjećenijem spomeniku na svijetu”, proširila se poput požara u kasnopopodnevnim/predvečernjim satima Uskrsnog ponedjeljka, 15. travnja 2019. godine. Svijet je u nevjerici gledao apokaliptične snimke dima i vatre u samom srcu Pariza.

Požar je prekrio potkrovlje i prijetio zahvatiti cijelo zdanje. Bila je to bolna slika, posebice ljudima koji su vidjeli Notre-Dame uživo i divili se monumentalnoj građevini staroj preko 800 godina. Zvonar crkve Notre-Dame grlio je svoju katedralu i(li) plakao gledajući je kako gori u nizu prigodnih “meme” slika.

Iz sjećanja su isplivali i drugi filmovi u kojima se katedrala pojavljivala, ne samo igrani i animirani “The Hunchback Of Notre-Dame”, nego i oni neugodnog apokaliptično-vizionarskog prizvuka. Kadar asteroida kako uništava Pariz bio je uhvaćen upravo s Notre-Damea u akcijsko-katastrofičnom blockbusteru “Armagedon” s Bruceom Willisom iz 1998., prije nego što je plimni val destrukcije zbrisao i samu katedralu s lica zemlje.

A u romantičnoj drami “Prije sumraka” iz 2004. ljubavnici Jesse i Celine (Ethan Hawke, Julie Delpy) plovili su po Seini, gledali katedralu i razgovarali o njoj, da bi ona u jednom trenutku rekla: “Notre-Dame će nestati jednog dana.” Petnaest godina poslije Notre-Dame je zamalo nestao.

Francuska nacionalna tragedija vapila je za filmom i dobila ga je 2022. – zvučno naslovljeni i prilično brzo realizirani “Notre-Dame u plamenu” (“Notre-Dame brûle”). Ilustracije radi, filmovi o američkoj nacionalnoj tragediji 11. rujna 2001., “World Trade Center” i “Let 93”, snimljeni su pet godina nakon terorističkog napada i rušenja blizanačkih nebodera WTC-a, a “Notre-Dame u plamenu” prikazuje se u (hrvatskim) kinima točno tri godine nakon nesretnog događaja.

Veteranski francuski redatelj Jean-Jacques Annaud, poznat po “Imenu ruže”, “Sedam godina u Tibetu” i “Neprijatelju pred vratima”, vjerno slijedi visokobudžetni hollywoodski model projekta snimljenog prema istinitim katastrofičnim događajima i stvara pošten, uredan komad repertoarskog filma.

Tako, “Notre-Dame u plamenu” je drugi uzastopni komercijalni francuski film na hollywoodski način nakon “Eiffela”, povijesne melodrame o izgradnji pariškog tornja, a režiran je kao spoj klasičnog “disaster” blockbustera, moderne dokudrame i vatrogasnog spektakla (“Samo za hrabre”, “Vatrene kacige”).

Nakon uvodnog natpisa “Sve je istina, koliko god nevjerojatno izgledalo”, ovlaš upoznajemo likove koji će biti važni u priči, od novog pripadnika osoblja Notre-Damea i starog zaštitara do upravitelja katedrale koji se nalazi u Versaillesu, redom u tumačenju nepoznatih glumaca kako bi film bio “dokumentarističkiji”.

Plamena tragedija bilda se od samog početka filma, koji se otvara kadrom paljenja šibice i pripaljivanja cigarete, doduše daleko od katedrale. No, iako je u katedrali zabranjeno pušenje, jedan od radnika na skelama zapalit će cigaretu koja će zamalo izazvati požar, na kraju uzrokovan kratkim spojem na električnim instalacijama.

Alarm za požar aktiviran je usred mise na Uskrsni ponedjeljak, ali otpisan je kao lažni, unatoč tome što lampica treperi, jer “nadzorni sustav zeza godinama”, pa su ljudi evakuirani iz katedrale vraćeni natrag, da bi opet bili evakuirani. Jer da uzbuna nije gotova, jasno je kad jedna prolaznica pošalje “selfie” fotku ispred katedrale prijateljici i ova je pita: “Zar su izabrali novog papu? Zašto dim izlazi iz krova?”

Mnogi nisu mogli vjerovati da se Notre-Dame zapalio, zato je reakcija i intervencija na konačnu detekciju požara bila usporena, a dodatno ju je usporavao prometni kolaps u centru Pariza koji je priječio vatrogasce da brže dođu na teren, no i kad su došli, bili su isprva limitiranih tehničkih sredstava (crijeva, mlaz).

Od tog trenutka gledamo vatrogasce u akciji u skučenim hodnicima katedrale, pri čemu će nekima ovo biti prvi požar i doživjet će, blago rečeno, vatreno krštenje, a istovremeno pratimo odiseju upravitelja od Versaillesa do Notre-Damea kako bi spasio umjetnine pod ključem koje samo on može otključati. Imamo i nepotrebne digresije, u vidu starice koja zove dispečersku službu i vatrogasce zbog toga što joj je mačka odlutala na krov zgrade.

Ipak, Annaud za svoje godine (r. 1943.) solidno vodi priču i rekreira zbivanja pomoću stvarnih snimki vatrogasaca, policije i građana s obližnjih mostova te specijalnih efekata u studiju, gdje je Notre-Dame rekonstruiran, a dio je snimljen i na drugim katedralama.

Kamera se ne libi zaći ravno u vatru i prikazati učinke vrućine koja topi olovo s krova i baca užareni ugljen na glave vatrogasaca kojima “Notre-Dame brûle” odaje počast, kao i samoj katedrali, ranjenoj, ali neuništivoj. Annaud pored akcije i drame pronalazi i simboliku kad, primjerice, vodorige nijemo promatraju požar i jedna od njih počne rigati olovo. Najsimboličniji prizor filma je prizor kipa Gospe, poprskanog vodom, sa sivom, pepeljavom suzom na licu.

Notre-Dame je u plamenu! Vijest o vatri na znamenitoj pariškoj katedrali, “najposjećenijem spomeniku na svijetu”, proširila se poput požara u kasnopopodnevnim/predvečernjim satima Uskrsnog ponedjeljka, 15. travnja 2019. godine. Svijet je u nevjerici gledao apokaliptične snimke dima i vatre u samom srcu Pariza.

Požar je prekrio potkrovlje i prijetio zahvatiti cijelo zdanje. Bila je to bolna slika, posebice ljudima koji su vidjeli Notre-Dame uživo i divili se monumentalnoj građevini staroj preko 800 godina. Zvonar crkve Notre-Dame grlio je svoju katedralu i(li) plakao gledajući je kako gori u nizu prigodnih “meme” slika.

Iz sjećanja su isplivali i drugi filmovi u kojima se katedrala pojavljivala, ne samo igrani i animirani “The Hunchback Of Notre-Dame”, nego i oni neugodnog apokaliptično-vizionarskog prizvuka. Kadar asteroida kako uništava Pariz bio je uhvaćen upravo s Notre-Damea u akcijsko-katastrofičnom blockbusteru “Armagedon” s Bruceom Willisom iz 1998., prije nego što je plimni val destrukcije zbrisao i samu katedralu s lica zemlje.

A u romantičnoj drami “Prije sumraka” iz 2004. ljubavnici Jesse i Celine (Ethan Hawke, Julie Delpy) plovili su po Seini, gledali katedralu i razgovarali o njoj, da bi ona u jednom trenutku rekla: “Notre-Dame će nestati jednog dana.” Petnaest godina poslije Notre-Dame je zamalo nestao.

Francuska nacionalna tragedija vapila je za filmom i dobila ga je 2022. – zvučno naslovljeni i prilično brzo realizirani “Notre-Dame u plamenu” (“Notre-Dame brûle”). Ilustracije radi, filmovi o američkoj nacionalnoj tragediji 11. rujna 2001., “World Trade Center” i “Let 93”, snimljeni su pet godina nakon terorističkog napada i rušenja blizanačkih nebodera WTC-a, a “Notre-Dame u plamenu” prikazuje se u (hrvatskim) kinima točno tri godine nakon nesretnog događaja.

Veteranski francuski redatelj Jean-Jacques Annaud, poznat po “Imenu ruže”, “Sedam godina u Tibetu” i “Neprijatelju pred vratima”, vjerno slijedi visokobudžetni hollywoodski model projekta snimljenog prema istinitim katastrofičnim događajima i stvara pošten, uredan komad repertoarskog filma.

Tako, “Notre-Dame u plamenu” je drugi uzastopni komercijalni francuski film na hollywoodski način nakon “Eiffela”, povijesne melodrame o izgradnji pariškog tornja, a režiran je kao spoj klasičnog “disaster” blockbustera, moderne dokudrame i vatrogasnog spektakla (“Samo za hrabre”, “Vatrene kacige”).

Nakon uvodnog natpisa “Sve je istina, koliko god nevjerojatno izgledalo”, ovlaš upoznajemo likove koji će biti važni u priči, od novog pripadnika osoblja Notre-Damea i starog zaštitara do upravitelja katedrale koji se nalazi u Versaillesu, redom u tumačenju nepoznatih glumaca kako bi film bio “dokumentarističkiji”.

Plamena tragedija bilda se od samog početka filma, koji se otvara kadrom paljenja šibice i pripaljivanja cigarete, doduše daleko od katedrale. No, iako je u katedrali zabranjeno pušenje, jedan od radnika na skelama zapalit će cigaretu koja će zamalo izazvati požar, na kraju uzrokovan kratkim spojem na električnim instalacijama.

Alarm za požar aktiviran je usred mise na Uskrsni ponedjeljak, ali otpisan je kao lažni, unatoč tome što lampica treperi, jer “nadzorni sustav zeza godinama”, pa su ljudi evakuirani iz katedrale vraćeni natrag, da bi opet bili evakuirani. Jer da uzbuna nije gotova, jasno je kad jedna prolaznica pošalje “selfie” fotku ispred katedrale prijateljici i ova je pita: “Zar su izabrali novog papu? Zašto dim izlazi iz krova?”

Mnogi nisu mogli vjerovati da se Notre-Dame zapalio, zato je reakcija i intervencija na konačnu detekciju požara bila usporena, a dodatno ju je usporavao prometni kolaps u centru Pariza koji je priječio vatrogasce da brže dođu na teren, no i kad su došli, bili su isprva limitiranih tehničkih sredstava (crijeva, mlaz).

Od tog trenutka gledamo vatrogasce u akciji u skučenim hodnicima katedrale, pri čemu će nekima ovo biti prvi požar i doživjet će, blago rečeno, vatreno krštenje, a istovremeno pratimo odiseju upravitelja od Versaillesa do Notre-Damea kako bi spasio umjetnine pod ključem koje samo on može otključati. Imamo i nepotrebne digresije, u vidu starice koja zove dispečersku službu i vatrogasce zbog toga što joj je mačka odlutala na krov zgrade.

Ipak, Annaud za svoje godine (r. 1943.) solidno vodi priču i rekreira zbivanja pomoću stvarnih snimki vatrogasaca, policije i građana s obližnjih mostova te specijalnih efekata u studiju, gdje je Notre-Dame rekonstruiran, a dio je snimljen i na drugim katedralama.

Kamera se ne libi zaći ravno u vatru i prikazati učinke vrućine koja topi olovo s krova i baca užareni ugljen na glave vatrogasaca kojima “Notre-Dame brûle” odaje počast, kao i samoj katedrali, ranjenoj, ali neuništivoj. Annaud pored akcije i drame pronalazi i simboliku kad, primjerice, vodorige nijemo promatraju požar i jedna od njih počne rigati olovo. Najsimboličniji prizor filma je prizor kipa Gospe, poprskanog vodom, sa sivom, pepeljavom suzom na licu.
