O kaosu kao neprijatelju napretka i neusmjerenoj energiji govori Chris Pine u ulozi Franka, osnivača naizgled idilične, utopijske zajednice u stilu pedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća i jednog od glavnih likova misterioznog trilera “Ne brini, draga” (“Don’t Worry Darling”).

“Kaos” i “neusmjerena energija” precizno oslikavaju kontroverzni film o kojem “svijet ne prestaje brujati”. Produkcija je bila kaotična i puna glasina sa seta ambicioznog redateljskog drugijenca glumice Olivije Wilde, nakon njezina odličnog tinejdžersko-komičnog debija “Booksmart”.

Glavnu mušku ulogu u “Ne brini, draga” trebao je igrati Shia LaBeouf, ali Wilde mu je uručila otkaz zbog nesuglasica i zamijenila ga popularnim mladim pjevačem Harryjem Stylesom (glumio u “Dunkirku”). Wilde se na kraju zaljubila u Stylesa i razvela od kolege Jasona Sudeikisa. Šuškalo se da je Wilde bila u zavadi s glavnom glumicom Florence Pugh, koja sa Stylesom ima nekoliko strasnih scena seksa u filmu. I, konačno, na premijeri u Veneciji činilo se da je Styles pljucnuo Pinea.

Medijske spekulacije i fabrikacije samo su povećale gledateljsku znatiželju i interes za filmom, koji će zasigurno zasjesti na čelno mjesto gledanosti nakon prvog vikenda prikazivanja. Sad kad je “Don’t Worry Darling” krenuo u kina, možda bi mogao zasjeniti napise koji su napravili veliku distrakciju od njegove kakvoće, tj. energija bi se mogla usmjeriti na sami film, da se o njemu počne govoriti jednom kad ga se pogleda, posebno jer je stvoren da bude provokativan i potiče rasprave.

Pa opet, fabrikacije i distrakcije sastavni su dio scenarija Katie Silberman, koja je za Wilde napisala i “Booksmart”, nastalog prema priči dvojca Carey Van Dyke-Shane Van Dyke (“The Silence”). Zajednica pod direkcijom Franka i njegove supruge Shelley (Gemma Chan; “Vječnici”), zvana “projekt Victory” i ambijentirana usred kalifornijske pustinje, samo je površinski savršena kao iz nekog retro-šik časopisa ili filma, “suncem okupani raj”.

Svakog jutra žene kao Alice (Pugh) ljube muževe prije njihova odlaska na posao van gradića za tajnovitu korporaciju. Prije nego se muževi vrate, one s osmijehom na licu sređuju kuću okruženu besprijekornom tratinom, kuhaju ručak, malo šopingiraju, te pijuckaju i ogovaraju sa susjedama poput Bunny (Wilde).

Takva je svakodnevica Alice i njezina supruga Jacka (Styles). Kad se Jack vrati s posla, on često zadovolji suprugu na kuhinjskom stolu, a navečer tulumare s pićem u ruci u društvu prijatelja. Sve je divno i krasno dok nekog dana jedna od žena, Margaret (KiKi Layne), na domjenku ne bubne “Zašto smo tu? Ne bismo smjeli biti tu. Nije mi dobro, ništa nije dobro...”, podsjećajući na lik LaKeitha Stanfielda u filmu “Get Out!”.

Ubrzo simptome nalik Margaret počne iskazivati i Alice. Javljaju joj se flešbekovi, čudni snovi, vizije, halucinacije. Aliceina paranoja raste i ona počinje propitivati repetitivnu, rutiniranu stvarnost oko sebe, naročito kad vidi pad aviona što nitko drugi nije vidio, posvjedoči Margaretinu samoubojstvu koje se zataškava i otkrije da svi muževi i žene imaju vrlo slične priče o tome kako su se upoznali. Nešto tu ne štima i tama vreba ispod sunčane površine, ali pitanje je što se događa.

Za točne odgovore treba pričekati, ako sva pitanja gledatelja na kraju uopće budu odgovorena. Wilde dotad umješno gradi misterij, pronalazi “ljepotu u kontroli” i “gracioznost u simetriji”, potvrđujući da nije pogriješila kad je zakoračila iza kamere, napose u impresionističkim “crno-bijelo u boji” scenama dočaravanja pukotina u Aliceinoj psihi, njezinih nelagodnih košmara, starih i novih sjećanja ili prizora kad je zidovi stvarnosti doslovno i simbolično počnu pritiskati.

Redateljica čini Aliceinu paranoju, tjeskobu i klaustrofobiju vrlo opipljivom uz pomoć izvrsne Pugh, snimatelja Matthewa Libatiquea i skladatelja Johna Powella. Ljubitelji paranoidnih filmova devedesetih o s(t)imuliranoj zbilji i (ne)stvarnosti svijeta oko nas prepoznat će utjecaje “Potpunog sjećanja”, “Igre”, “Trumanova showa”, “Grada tame” i “Matrixa”, kao i “Pleasantvillea”, “Stepfordskih supruga” i spomenutog “Bježi”, pa i “Festivala straha”, također s Pugh u glavnoj ulozi.

Da bude u rangu svih njih, “Ne brini, draga” bi trebao biti kohezivniji i zaokruženiji film u oblikovanju (iskrivljene) verzije stvarnosti i monitoringa, tj. imati originalniji, manje podgrijani preokret u posljednjem činu. Ipak, preokret je prilagođen aktualnom feminističkom trenutku i serviran pravodobno da se osloni na #MeToo i pamfletski progovori o rodnoj neravnopravnosti, seksizmu, ulozi žena u društvu i ženskoj emancipaciji u patrijarhatu. To je Wildeičina najveća pobjeda. Victory.

O kaosu kao neprijatelju napretka i neusmjerenoj energiji govori Chris Pine u ulozi Franka, osnivača naizgled idilične, utopijske zajednice u stilu pedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća i jednog od glavnih likova misterioznog trilera “Ne brini, draga” (“Don’t Worry Darling”).

“Kaos” i “neusmjerena energija” precizno oslikavaju kontroverzni film o kojem “svijet ne prestaje brujati”. Produkcija je bila kaotična i puna glasina sa seta ambicioznog redateljskog drugijenca glumice Olivije Wilde, nakon njezina odličnog tinejdžersko-komičnog debija “Booksmart”.

Glavnu mušku ulogu u “Ne brini, draga” trebao je igrati Shia LaBeouf, ali Wilde mu je uručila otkaz zbog nesuglasica i zamijenila ga popularnim mladim pjevačem Harryjem Stylesom (glumio u “Dunkirku”). Wilde se na kraju zaljubila u Stylesa i razvela od kolege Jasona Sudeikisa. Šuškalo se da je Wilde bila u zavadi s glavnom glumicom Florence Pugh, koja sa Stylesom ima nekoliko strasnih scena seksa u filmu. I, konačno, na premijeri u Veneciji činilo se da je Styles pljucnuo Pinea.

Medijske spekulacije i fabrikacije samo su povećale gledateljsku znatiželju i interes za filmom, koji će zasigurno zasjesti na čelno mjesto gledanosti nakon prvog vikenda prikazivanja. Sad kad je “Don’t Worry Darling” krenuo u kina, možda bi mogao zasjeniti napise koji su napravili veliku distrakciju od njegove kakvoće, tj. energija bi se mogla usmjeriti na sami film, da se o njemu počne govoriti jednom kad ga se pogleda, posebno jer je stvoren da bude provokativan i potiče rasprave.

Pa opet, fabrikacije i distrakcije sastavni su dio scenarija Katie Silberman, koja je za Wilde napisala i “Booksmart”, nastalog prema priči dvojca Carey Van Dyke-Shane Van Dyke (“The Silence”). Zajednica pod direkcijom Franka i njegove supruge Shelley (Gemma Chan; “Vječnici”), zvana “projekt Victory” i ambijentirana usred kalifornijske pustinje, samo je površinski savršena kao iz nekog retro-šik časopisa ili filma, “suncem okupani raj”.

Svakog jutra žene kao Alice (Pugh) ljube muževe prije njihova odlaska na posao van gradića za tajnovitu korporaciju. Prije nego se muževi vrate, one s osmijehom na licu sređuju kuću okruženu besprijekornom tratinom, kuhaju ručak, malo šopingiraju, te pijuckaju i ogovaraju sa susjedama poput Bunny (Wilde).

Takva je svakodnevica Alice i njezina supruga Jacka (Styles). Kad se Jack vrati s posla, on često zadovolji suprugu na kuhinjskom stolu, a navečer tulumare s pićem u ruci u društvu prijatelja. Sve je divno i krasno dok nekog dana jedna od žena, Margaret (KiKi Layne), na domjenku ne bubne “Zašto smo tu? Ne bismo smjeli biti tu. Nije mi dobro, ništa nije dobro...”, podsjećajući na lik LaKeitha Stanfielda u filmu “Get Out!”.

Ubrzo simptome nalik Margaret počne iskazivati i Alice. Javljaju joj se flešbekovi, čudni snovi, vizije, halucinacije. Aliceina paranoja raste i ona počinje propitivati repetitivnu, rutiniranu stvarnost oko sebe, naročito kad vidi pad aviona što nitko drugi nije vidio, posvjedoči Margaretinu samoubojstvu koje se zataškava i otkrije da svi muževi i žene imaju vrlo slične priče o tome kako su se upoznali. Nešto tu ne štima i tama vreba ispod sunčane površine, ali pitanje je što se događa.

Za točne odgovore treba pričekati, ako sva pitanja gledatelja na kraju uopće budu odgovorena. Wilde dotad umješno gradi misterij, pronalazi “ljepotu u kontroli” i “gracioznost u simetriji”, potvrđujući da nije pogriješila kad je zakoračila iza kamere, napose u impresionističkim “crno-bijelo u boji” scenama dočaravanja pukotina u Aliceinoj psihi, njezinih nelagodnih košmara, starih i novih sjećanja ili prizora kad je zidovi stvarnosti doslovno i simbolično počnu pritiskati.

Redateljica čini Aliceinu paranoju, tjeskobu i klaustrofobiju vrlo opipljivom uz pomoć izvrsne Pugh, snimatelja Matthewa Libatiquea i skladatelja Johna Powella. Ljubitelji paranoidnih filmova devedesetih o s(t)imuliranoj zbilji i (ne)stvarnosti svijeta oko nas prepoznat će utjecaje “Potpunog sjećanja”, “Igre”, “Trumanova showa”, “Grada tame” i “Matrixa”, kao i “Pleasantvillea”, “Stepfordskih supruga” i spomenutog “Bježi”, pa i “Festivala straha”, također s Pugh u glavnoj ulozi.

Da bude u rangu svih njih, “Ne brini, draga” bi trebao biti kohezivniji i zaokruženiji film u oblikovanju (iskrivljene) verzije stvarnosti i monitoringa, tj. imati originalniji, manje podgrijani preokret u posljednjem činu. Ipak, preokret je prilagođen aktualnom feminističkom trenutku i serviran pravodobno da se osloni na #MeToo i pamfletski progovori o rodnoj neravnopravnosti, seksizmu, ulozi žena u društvu i ženskoj emancipaciji u patrijarhatu. To je Wildeičina najveća pobjeda. Victory.

‘Ne brini, draga‘: Briga stepfordskih supruga

O kaosu kao neprijatelju napretka i neusmjerenoj energiji govori Chris Pine u ulozi Franka, osnivača naizgled idilične, utopijske zajednice u stilu pedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća i jednog od glavnih likova misterioznog trilera “Ne brini, draga” (“Don’t Worry Darling”).

“Kaos” i “neusmjerena energija” precizno oslikavaju kontroverzni film o kojem “svijet ne prestaje brujati”. Produkcija je bila kaotična i puna glasina sa seta ambicioznog redateljskog drugijenca glumice Olivije Wilde, nakon njezina odličnog tinejdžersko-komičnog debija “Booksmart”.

Glavnu mušku ulogu u “Ne brini, draga” trebao je igrati Shia LaBeouf, ali Wilde mu je uručila otkaz zbog nesuglasica i zamijenila ga popularnim mladim pjevačem Harryjem Stylesom (glumio u “Dunkirku”)....
