U četvrtak je u Galeriji umjetnina u Splitu otvorena izložba splitske umjetnice Tanje Deman – "Horizont". Eksperimentalni filmski esej, snimljen na najudaljenijem izoliranom otoku Jadrana, "Horizont" je intimna priča o moru u trenutku ekološke krize. Kroz ženski monolog, film snimljen na otvorenom moru promatra praiskonski morski pejzaž i slojevite ekološke promjene mora koje ga okružuje.
Kustos izložbe je Branko Franceschi, koji u popratnom eseju, među ostalim, navodi:
"Tanja Deman se u svim svojim dosadašnjim, mahom fotografskim radovima, bavila ekološkim temama. U neprekidnom trvenju između čovjeka i prirode, on se pokazuje kao potpuno suvišan, čak smiješan u svojim antropocentričnim manifestacijama, ali zato ništa manje opasan u svom djelovanju. Ipak, Deman je optimist. Na završetku 'Horizonata' vraćamo se kadrovima čistog ushita prema fiktivnom beskraju prirodnih elemenata, zapravo, jedinom zoru beskraja koji nam je dan bez podizanja pogleda prema nebeskom svodu.
Njen postupak zasniva se u jednakoj mjeri na estetskoj figuri sraza veličanstvene, vječne prirode s prolaznom ljudskom jedinkom kakvu poznajemo još od veličanstvenih pejzažnih kompozicija razdoblja romantizma, na krupnom dokumentarnom kadru svojstvenom angažiranoj reportažnoj retorici i konačno na sublimnim nadrealnim sekvencama interijera kojima sugerira opće stanje duha.
VISOKO POSTAVLJENA LJESTVICA
Svi koji poznaju produkcijsku logiku filmske umjetnosti znaju koliko je po rezultat nezahvalno biti ograničen raspoloživim vremenom snimanja na izabranoj lokaciji. Kod autora koji kao Tanja Deman imaju visoko postavljenu ljestvicu estetske sofistikacije, rješenje je u precizno postavljenoj etičkoj komponenti rada. U svim ovim pogledima 'Horizont' je ispunio naša očekivanja, oči ljepotom, srca nadom, razum sviješću o dragocjenosti ravnoteže svijeta čije granice nisu dovoljno udaljene da ih zaobiđe naš bahati nemar. Nema dalje, nema još, nema druge prilike. Dosegnuli smo kraj."
Tanja Deman je vizualna umjetnica koja radi u mediju fotografije, filma i instalacija u javnom prostoru. Rođena je u Splitu, gdje živi i radi. Diplomirala je na ALU-u u Zagrebu. Njezini radovi su izloženi, među ostalim, na 15. Venecijanskom bijenalu arhitekture, u Kunstmuseum Bonn, Muzeju suvremene umjetnosti Zagreb, Muzeju moderne i suvremene umjetnosti Rijeka, Fotogalerie Wien, Beč, The Central House of Artists, Moskva, MUNTREF Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, Buenos Aires, TENT, Rotterdam, Unseen, Amsterdam, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Galerie Reflex, Amsterdam, Museum of African Design, Johannesburg.

U četvrtak je u Galeriji umjetnina u Splitu otvorena izložba splitske umjetnice Tanje Deman – "Horizont". Eksperimentalni filmski esej, snimljen na najudaljenijem izoliranom otoku Jadrana, "Horizont" je intimna priča o moru u trenutku ekološke krize. Kroz ženski monolog, film snimljen na otvorenom moru promatra praiskonski morski pejzaž i slojevite ekološke promjene mora koje ga okružuje.
Kustos izložbe je Branko Franceschi, koji u popratnom eseju, među ostalim, navodi:
"Tanja Deman se u svim svojim dosadašnjim, mahom fotografskim radovima, bavila ekološkim temama. U neprekidnom trvenju između čovjeka i prirode, on se pokazuje kao potpuno suvišan, čak smiješan u svojim antropocentričnim manifestacijama, ali zato ništa manje opasan u svom djelovanju. Ipak, Deman je optimist. Na završetku 'Horizonata' vraćamo se kadrovima čistog ushita prema fiktivnom beskraju prirodnih elemenata, zapravo, jedinom zoru beskraja koji nam je dan bez podizanja pogleda prema nebeskom svodu.
Njen postupak zasniva se u jednakoj mjeri na estetskoj figuri sraza veličanstvene, vječne prirode s prolaznom ljudskom jedinkom kakvu poznajemo još od veličanstvenih pejzažnih kompozicija razdoblja romantizma, na krupnom dokumentarnom kadru svojstvenom angažiranoj reportažnoj retorici i konačno na sublimnim nadrealnim sekvencama interijera kojima sugerira opće stanje duha.
VISOKO POSTAVLJENA LJESTVICA
Svi koji poznaju produkcijsku logiku filmske umjetnosti znaju koliko je po rezultat nezahvalno biti ograničen raspoloživim vremenom snimanja na izabranoj lokaciji. Kod autora koji kao Tanja Deman imaju visoko postavljenu ljestvicu estetske sofistikacije, rješenje je u precizno postavljenoj etičkoj komponenti rada. U svim ovim pogledima 'Horizont' je ispunio naša očekivanja, oči ljepotom, srca nadom, razum sviješću o dragocjenosti ravnoteže svijeta čije granice nisu dovoljno udaljene da ih zaobiđe naš bahati nemar. Nema dalje, nema još, nema druge prilike. Dosegnuli smo kraj."
Tanja Deman je vizualna umjetnica koja radi u mediju fotografije, filma i instalacija u javnom prostoru. Rođena je u Splitu, gdje živi i radi. Diplomirala je na ALU-u u Zagrebu. Njezini radovi su izloženi, među ostalim, na 15. Venecijanskom bijenalu arhitekture, u Kunstmuseum Bonn, Muzeju suvremene umjetnosti Zagreb, Muzeju moderne i suvremene umjetnosti Rijeka, Fotogalerie Wien, Beč, The Central House of Artists, Moskva, MUNTREF Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, Buenos Aires, TENT, Rotterdam, Unseen, Amsterdam, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Galerie Reflex, Amsterdam, Museum of African Design, Johannesburg.
