Nastavlja se samoinicirana deglamurizacija mlade glumice Belle Thorne, donedavne zvijezde Disney Channela. Tako, Bella se maksimalno odmiče od nevinih uloga u "family friendly" komedijama tipa "Obiteljski kaos" s Adamom Sandlerom i Drew Barrymore ili "nicholasparkovskim" romansama "Ponoćno sunce" sa Schwarzeneggerovim sinom Patrickom.

Ona sve češće glumi u hororima ili trilerima kao što su "Amityville: Buđenje", "The Babysitter" ili "Još si tu", te mračnim nezavisnim filmovima poput "Nacije ubojica". Njezin najnoviji pokušaj deglamurizacije i bijega od svog nekadašnjeg "Disney" imidža zove se "Djevojka" ("Girl"), a odnedavno se nalazi u ponudi hrvatskog "online" videotržišta.

"Djevojka" je niskobudžetni nezavisni film redatelja i scenarista Chada Fausta, kombinacija osvetničkog trilera i "misery porn" drame kao stvorena da Thorne nastavi širiti glumačke horizonte i dokazivati se da nije samo još jedno lijepo lice u nizu.

Mala je šansa da će netko njezinu ulogu zamijeniti za onu oskarovske nominentice Jennifer Lawrence u "Zimskoj kosti", još manje će netko reći da je i "Girl" kalibar "Winter's Bone".

Međutim, Bella je iznenađujuće okej, a i film je neloš za jedno neobvezatno gledanje, koliko god zna biti "deja vu", s nizom klišeja karakterističnih za ovakav tip teških, namjerno "neuglednih", "poružnjenih", rubno grotesknih nezavisnjaka. Breme "Djevojke" Thorne nosi na svojim leđima, kao što njezin lik nosi obiteljsko breme, s naglaskom na nasilnog oca koji ju je (na)učio bacati sjekiru kad je bila mala kao da je njegov sin, a ne kćer, "tatina djevojčica".

Neimenovani glavnik lik znan samo kao Girl, dakle Djevojka, dolazi u "trošni" rodni gradić, grad duhova, smješten bogu iza nogu ("Signali nas zaobilaze, mi smo u mračnoj zoni"), da se napokon suoči s ocem. Po dolasku će se nemalo iznenaditi kad otkrije da je on mrtav, k tome da je umro nasilnom smrću, što u njoj budi kovitlac emocija, bijes, prkos, nekakvu perverznu grižnju savjesti i osvetničke porive.

"Ja sam ti ovo htjela učiniti", proškrguće za sebe Djevojka koja upoznaje žitelje njezinog rodnog mjesta, šerifa u tumačenju uvijek dobrog, ali nažalost sve izobličenijeg Mickeyja Rourkea i njegovog brata nazvanog Šarmer (glumi ga redatelj Faust), inače braće njezine majke koja "razbijaju ovaj grad godinama", a svatko od njih bi mogao biti odgovoran za smrt oca i nikome nije drago što je ona tu.

"Kloni se braće ako se misliš zadržavati", jasna je poruka Djevojci, tretiranoj poput došljaka u nekom vesternu, žanru s kojim "Girl" malčice kao da koketira, mijenjajući spol glavnom junaku i lišavajući ga ljepote vizualnom grubošću u tamnoj, "bezbojnoj" fotografiji snimatelja Kristofera Bonnella.

No, Djevojka želi tvrdoglavo dobiti odgovore na pitanja što vise u zraku iznad gradića (tko joj je i zašto ubio oca? zbog novca, možda?), pa makar otkrića preokrenula njezinu spoznaju o familiji, jer slutimo i da hoće. "Twist" je neminovan, izveden na temu da nikoga zapravo ne poznaješ dobro, čak ni bližnje svoje, a do njega redatelj dolazi preko trilerske igre mačke i miša u kojoj ne nedostaje brutalne akcije nadomak hororskog ekstrema.

To podrazumijeva da je junakinja puna masnica, okrvavljena od udaraca ili čak ranjena od met(a)ka, ali ona za promjenu nije toliko erotizirana "objektificirana", kao klasična (super)heroina akcijskih hitova u kožnom lateksu-dekolteiranoj/prozirnoj opravi opravi ili filmova strave i užasa (svaka druga "kraljica vriska"), okrećući leđa kameri i muškom promatraču, samom redatelju, u momentu kad presvlači majicu.

Spoznaja o tome da je Djevojka naučila bacati sjekiru dođe kao "Čehovljeno pravilo" kad se sjekira u trećem činu nađe u njezinoj ruci, no junakinja nije akcijska (super)heroina i ona će krvariti koliko god da čvrsta pa i mišićava bila. Thorne uspijeva, iznenađujuće solidno i prigušeno energično, istovremeno biti neustrašiva i ranjiva u dosad najboljoj ili najzrelijoj izvedbi karijere sporogorećeg, ali tinjajućeg feminizma. Djevojko, bit ćeš žena/glumica uskoro.

Thorne kao alienka iz susjedstva

Od svih filmova Belle Thorne u najavi, najzanimljivijim se čini SF triler "Exo"  o mladiću koji je uvjeren da je njegova susjeda izvanzemaljka. Bella je susjeda, mladić je Jack Kilmer, Valov sin, a film režira Cedric Nicolas-Troyan ("Kate").

Nastavlja se samoinicirana deglamurizacija mlade glumice Belle Thorne, donedavne zvijezde Disney Channela. Tako, Bella se maksimalno odmiče od nevinih uloga u "family friendly" komedijama tipa "Obiteljski kaos" s Adamom Sandlerom i Drew Barrymore ili "nicholasparkovskim" romansama "Ponoćno sunce" sa Schwarzeneggerovim sinom Patrickom.

Ona sve češće glumi u hororima ili trilerima kao što su "Amityville: Buđenje", "The Babysitter" ili "Još si tu", te mračnim nezavisnim filmovima poput "Nacije ubojica". Njezin najnoviji pokušaj deglamurizacije i bijega od svog nekadašnjeg "Disney" imidža zove se "Djevojka" ("Girl"), a odnedavno se nalazi u ponudi hrvatskog "online" videotržišta.

"Djevojka" je niskobudžetni nezavisni film redatelja i scenarista Chada Fausta, kombinacija osvetničkog trilera i "misery porn" drame kao stvorena da Thorne nastavi širiti glumačke horizonte i dokazivati se da nije samo još jedno lijepo lice u nizu.

Mala je šansa da će netko njezinu ulogu zamijeniti za onu oskarovske nominentice Jennifer Lawrence u "Zimskoj kosti", još manje će netko reći da je i "Girl" kalibar "Winter's Bone".

Međutim, Bella je iznenađujuće okej, a i film je neloš za jedno neobvezatno gledanje, koliko god zna biti "deja vu", s nizom klišeja karakterističnih za ovakav tip teških, namjerno "neuglednih", "poružnjenih", rubno grotesknih nezavisnjaka. Breme "Djevojke" Thorne nosi na svojim leđima, kao što njezin lik nosi obiteljsko breme, s naglaskom na nasilnog oca koji ju je (na)učio bacati sjekiru kad je bila mala kao da je njegov sin, a ne kćer, "tatina djevojčica".

Neimenovani glavnik lik znan samo kao Girl, dakle Djevojka, dolazi u "trošni" rodni gradić, grad duhova, smješten bogu iza nogu ("Signali nas zaobilaze, mi smo u mračnoj zoni"), da se napokon suoči s ocem. Po dolasku će se nemalo iznenaditi kad otkrije da je on mrtav, k tome da je umro nasilnom smrću, što u njoj budi kovitlac emocija, bijes, prkos, nekakvu perverznu grižnju savjesti i osvetničke porive.

"Ja sam ti ovo htjela učiniti", proškrguće za sebe Djevojka koja upoznaje žitelje njezinog rodnog mjesta, šerifa u tumačenju uvijek dobrog, ali nažalost sve izobličenijeg Mickeyja Rourkea i njegovog brata nazvanog Šarmer (glumi ga redatelj Faust), inače braće njezine majke koja "razbijaju ovaj grad godinama", a svatko od njih bi mogao biti odgovoran za smrt oca i nikome nije drago što je ona tu.

"Kloni se braće ako se misliš zadržavati", jasna je poruka Djevojci, tretiranoj poput došljaka u nekom vesternu, žanru s kojim "Girl" malčice kao da koketira, mijenjajući spol glavnom junaku i lišavajući ga ljepote vizualnom grubošću u tamnoj, "bezbojnoj" fotografiji snimatelja Kristofera Bonnella.

No, Djevojka želi tvrdoglavo dobiti odgovore na pitanja što vise u zraku iznad gradića (tko joj je i zašto ubio oca? zbog novca, možda?), pa makar otkrića preokrenula njezinu spoznaju o familiji, jer slutimo i da hoće. "Twist" je neminovan, izveden na temu da nikoga zapravo ne poznaješ dobro, čak ni bližnje svoje, a do njega redatelj dolazi preko trilerske igre mačke i miša u kojoj ne nedostaje brutalne akcije nadomak hororskog ekstrema.

To podrazumijeva da je junakinja puna masnica, okrvavljena od udaraca ili čak ranjena od met(a)ka, ali ona za promjenu nije toliko erotizirana "objektificirana", kao klasična (super)heroina akcijskih hitova u kožnom lateksu-dekolteiranoj/prozirnoj opravi opravi ili filmova strave i užasa (svaka druga "kraljica vriska"), okrećući leđa kameri i muškom promatraču, samom redatelju, u momentu kad presvlači majicu.

Spoznaja o tome da je Djevojka naučila bacati sjekiru dođe kao "Čehovljeno pravilo" kad se sjekira u trećem činu nađe u njezinoj ruci, no junakinja nije akcijska (super)heroina i ona će krvariti koliko god da čvrsta pa i mišićava bila. Thorne uspijeva, iznenađujuće solidno i prigušeno energično, istovremeno biti neustrašiva i ranjiva u dosad najboljoj ili najzrelijoj izvedbi karijere sporogorećeg, ali tinjajućeg feminizma. Djevojko, bit ćeš žena/glumica uskoro.

Thorne kao alienka iz susjedstva

Od svih filmova Belle Thorne u najavi, najzanimljivijim se čini SF triler "Exo"  o mladiću koji je uvjeren da je njegova susjeda izvanzemaljka. Bella je susjeda, mladić je Jack Kilmer, Valov sin, a film režira Cedric Nicolas-Troyan ("Kate").
