Jer, vesela mlada dama s pomalo iritantnim glasom napravila je već sedam takvih putopisa. Za prvi, “WOW Croatia”, dobila je Emmyja, što je podatak zbog kojeg se ovdje pada na dupe. Bez razloga, jer nije riječ o glavnom, nacionalnom Emmyju (kojeg je Bourdain dobio), nego regionalnoj nagradi za jugozapadnu pacifičku regiju SAD-a koja obuhvaća, preciznosti radi, San Diego, Bakersfield, Palm Springs, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbaru i Santa Mariju u Kaliforniji te Las Vegas u Nevadi.

Colburn je emisiju snimila za tamošnju Wealth TV iz San Diega, bezveznu kabelsku televizijicu s 10 milijuna gledatelja po SAD-u i Karibima, što je za američke razmjere gledanost lokalnog programa. Po Lijepoj našoj putovala je u organizaciji Hrvatske turističke zajednice, pa je zato dobila i njezinu Zlatnu penkalu.

Na istu foru kasnije se vratila da napravi putopisni serijal “Čudesna Hrvatska” (“Wonders of Croatia”) koji se ovih dana prikazuje na HTV-u. I sad, kad malo proguglate po internetu, vidjet ćete da njezine emisije i Emmy za onu prvu nisu vijest nikome osim lokalnim novinama iz Fallbrooka, gradića s tridesetak tisuća stanovnika, u kojem je završila srednju školu, te glasilima američkih Hrvata. I, naravno, središnjem Dnevniku HTV-a u kojem je gostovala kod Nađvinskog, a ranije i kod Rotima u "Paralelama".

Zašto sve ovo pričam? Pa i ne bih, da prvo nisam pogledao ta njezina jadno snimljena i montirana hrvatska čudesa, neinventivno posložen niz šetnji s lokalnim vodičima po gradovima i otocima, s hrpom općih mjesta iz bedekera, baš po ukusu HTZ-a. No, u Splitu se, recimo, ni u jednom kadru ne vide Riva i Marjan, barem usput, a kad uplovi u Stari Grad Ashley će, ispravno navodeći ime mjesta, reći da “ova nekoć mala rimska luka danas privlači bogate i slavne”, iako u kadru nakon montažnog reza gledamo jahte iz Hvara. Potom veli da je “ovo bilo i ostalo središte grada” te prikazuje, naravno, hvarsku Pjacu, a sve kao Stari Grad. Naprosto nije “ubrala” da se i mjesto u koje je stigla iz Starog Grada zove Hvar, kao i otok, pa je mislila da je još u drevnom Farosu.

Ukupno nije puno griješila, imala je dobre vodiče, no sve to skupa užasno je dosadno nama koji sve to već znamo. Amerikance pak nema što oduševiti osim njima egzotičnih krajolika, ljudi i običaja. A ta djevojka Ashley mora sve probati gdje god da dođe - igrati balun s hajdukovcima, picigin na Bačvicama, praviti sir na Pagu, jahati magarca u zaleđu Šibenika ili učiti jedriti s trogirskim skiperom, što je mogla i doma. Kao i jedriti na dasci, nije zato morala dolaziti u Bol na Braču. K tome obavezno mora obići gotovo svaku crkvu na putu i voli se snimati kako se prijavljuje na recepciji hotela.



E, kad sam vidio da su te njezine reportaže inferiornije mnogima iz domaće radinosti, počela mi je ići na živce ta naša medijska fascinacija ovom gospođicom te sam morao ozbiljnije proučiti tko je njoj, zaboga, dao Emmy?!
Toliko je jakih domaćih dokumentaraca iz vanjske produkcije koje nećemo automatski vidjeti na HTV-u, niti će njihovi autori gostovati u Dnevniku.

Istodobno, taj HTV se diči ostavštinom jednog Saletta, a Stipe Božić i Joško Bojić su prema Colburnovoj i njezinom snimatelju akademici. Goran Milić bi u usporedbi s njom morao već imati deset Emmyja, onih glavnih. Dakle, čemu skakutanje oko probitačne početnice iz Pacific Southwesta? Ali ne, naš provincijski refleks živahnije reagira na bučnu Ashley “iz Jamerike”, s pokrajinskim Emmyjem u jednoj od devedesetak kategorija, na čijoj je dodjeli u San Diegu bilo oko - 350 ljudi.

Divna stvar taj internet - na njemu doznaš puno više nego na televiziji, naročito ako je to HTV ili Wealth TV.

Jer, vesela mlada dama s pomalo iritantnim glasom napravila je već sedam takvih putopisa. Za prvi, “WOW Croatia”, dobila je Emmyja, što je podatak zbog kojeg se ovdje pada na dupe. Bez razloga, jer nije riječ o glavnom, nacionalnom Emmyju (kojeg je Bourdain dobio), nego regionalnoj nagradi za jugozapadnu pacifičku regiju SAD-a koja obuhvaća, preciznosti radi, San Diego, Bakersfield, Palm Springs, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbaru i Santa Mariju u Kaliforniji te Las Vegas u Nevadi.

Colburn je emisiju snimila za tamošnju Wealth TV iz San Diega, bezveznu kabelsku televizijicu s 10 milijuna gledatelja po SAD-u i Karibima, što je za američke razmjere gledanost lokalnog programa. Po Lijepoj našoj putovala je u organizaciji Hrvatske turističke zajednice, pa je zato dobila i njezinu Zlatnu penkalu.

Na istu foru kasnije se vratila da napravi putopisni serijal “Čudesna Hrvatska” (“Wonders of Croatia”) koji se ovih dana prikazuje na HTV-u. I sad, kad malo proguglate po internetu, vidjet ćete da njezine emisije i Emmy za onu prvu nisu vijest nikome osim lokalnim novinama iz Fallbrooka, gradića s tridesetak tisuća stanovnika, u kojem je završila srednju školu, te glasilima američkih Hrvata. I, naravno, središnjem Dnevniku HTV-a u kojem je gostovala kod Nađvinskog, a ranije i kod Rotima u "Paralelama".

Zašto sve ovo pričam? Pa i ne bih, da prvo nisam pogledao ta njezina jadno snimljena i montirana hrvatska čudesa, neinventivno posložen niz šetnji s lokalnim vodičima po gradovima i otocima, s hrpom općih mjesta iz bedekera, baš po ukusu HTZ-a. No, u Splitu se, recimo, ni u jednom kadru ne vide Riva i Marjan, barem usput, a kad uplovi u Stari Grad Ashley će, ispravno navodeći ime mjesta, reći da “ova nekoć mala rimska luka danas privlači bogate i slavne”, iako u kadru nakon montažnog reza gledamo jahte iz Hvara. Potom veli da je “ovo bilo i ostalo središte grada” te prikazuje, naravno, hvarsku Pjacu, a sve kao Stari Grad. Naprosto nije “ubrala” da se i mjesto u koje je stigla iz Starog Grada zove Hvar, kao i otok, pa je mislila da je još u drevnom Farosu.

Ukupno nije puno griješila, imala je dobre vodiče, no sve to skupa užasno je dosadno nama koji sve to već znamo. Amerikance pak nema što oduševiti osim njima egzotičnih krajolika, ljudi i običaja. A ta djevojka Ashley mora sve probati gdje god da dođe - igrati balun s hajdukovcima, picigin na Bačvicama, praviti sir na Pagu, jahati magarca u zaleđu Šibenika ili učiti jedriti s trogirskim skiperom, što je mogla i doma. Kao i jedriti na dasci, nije zato morala dolaziti u Bol na Braču. K tome obavezno mora obići gotovo svaku crkvu na putu i voli se snimati kako se prijavljuje na recepciji hotela.



E, kad sam vidio da su te njezine reportaže inferiornije mnogima iz domaće radinosti, počela mi je ići na živce ta naša medijska fascinacija ovom gospođicom te sam morao ozbiljnije proučiti tko je njoj, zaboga, dao Emmy?!
Toliko je jakih domaćih dokumentaraca iz vanjske produkcije koje nećemo automatski vidjeti na HTV-u, niti će njihovi autori gostovati u Dnevniku.

Istodobno, taj HTV se diči ostavštinom jednog Saletta, a Stipe Božić i Joško Bojić su prema Colburnovoj i njezinom snimatelju akademici. Goran Milić bi u usporedbi s njom morao već imati deset Emmyja, onih glavnih. Dakle, čemu skakutanje oko probitačne početnice iz Pacific Southwesta? Ali ne, naš provincijski refleks živahnije reagira na bučnu Ashley “iz Jamerike”, s pokrajinskim Emmyjem u jednoj od devedesetak kategorija, na čijoj je dodjeli u San Diegu bilo oko - 350 ljudi.

Divna stvar taj internet - na njemu doznaš puno više nego na televiziji, naročito ako je to HTV ili Wealth TV.
