Etimologija imena mjesta Ravča kod Vrgorca još uvijek nije precizno definirana, no jedno od mogućih objašnjenja glasi da ime sela dolazi od zastarjele riječi "rab" (sluga).
S obzirom na to da je tadašnji makarski Kaptol imao dosta zemlje koju su stanovnici Ravče obrađivali, riječ "rab" u ovom bi slučaju označavala seljaka-najamnika. Danas nitko u selu ne živi isključivo od obrađivanja zemlje, no većina mještana bavi se nekom vrstom poljoprivrede, a rijetki i stočarstvom.
– Ne bih da ne moram. Penzija nikakva, radit više ne mogu koliko san moga pa san nabavio nešto koza – kaže nam jedan šezdesetogodišnjak.
Dodaje da u selu ima više prezimena negoli ih je bilo nekoć, no ljudi je manje. Mlađoj populaciji najviše nedostaju vršnjaci s kojima bi se igrali.
– Meni je sve super, imamo šumu, igralište i bućalište kraj crkve. Ljeti bude više djece, pa nas se skupi pet-šest.
Ja sam zadnji učenik u našoj školi i kad dogodine krenem u peti razred, škola će se zatvorit. Imamo i stariju sestru, ona radi u Austriji da zaradi za auto. Ja ne bi nikud selio odavde – kaže Teo Jović.
– Idemo često i na more, u Makarsku ili Ploče. Nedostaju nam druga djeca, ali ponekad se družimo s onima iz okolnih sela – dodaje njegova sestra Lana.

– Nedostaje nam grobnih parcela. Moja pokojna svekrva je u tuđem grobu, molili smo da nam se dodijeli mjesto, rekli smo i da ćemo sami napraviti grob, no sve se svede na predizborna obećanja.
Gospodarska zona još nije u potpunosti zaživjela, pokušala sam i tamo naći posao, ali smjene su ubitačne. Kad imate četvero djece, ne možete raditi do dva u noći.
Iako je pozitivno to što je cesta popravljena i postavljen novi sloj asfalta, kad autom izlazimo na cestu, zadnji kraj udara u beton jer pristupni put nije saniran. Obećali su taj dio nasuti, ali još čekamo – govori Milena.
Iz "Gradske čistoće" u Vrgorcu, koja upravlja posljednjim počivalištem u Ravči, kažu da trenutno ima desetak zainteresiranih za novu grobnicu, te da će se svakome odobriti izgradnja. Parcela na kojoj se planira proširenje groblja nalazi se zapadno od postojećega groblja i u vlasništvu je crkve svetog Mihovila.
Jedno od novijih prezimena u Ravči je i Klepo, a obitelj se u Vrgorsku krajinu doselila iz Jablanice (BiH) prije 35 godina.
– Otac je često dolazio poslom na ove prostore i tražio je mjesto gdje bi mogao kupiti zemlju. Splet okolnosti učinio je da to bude Ravča.
Ovdje sam išao u osnovnu školu, a srednju kamenoklesarsku završio sam na Braču jer se obiteljski bavimo klesarstvom. Prometna povezanost Ravče s drugim mjestima je odlična, a i Jablanica je blizu. U gospodarskoj zoni će, vjerujem, biti svega, ali trenutno nam najviše fali dućan – kaže Senid Klepo.

Direktorica poslovne zone Ravča Milka Beus objasnila nam je trenutnu situaciju.
– Zbog pandemije, koja je znatno usporila i prolongirala razvoj industrijske zone, Grad Vrgorac izašao je ususret investitorima te im je produžio rokove za izgradnju. Situacija se stabilizirala te dobivamo mnogo upita od raznih investitora, no trenutno nemamo nijednu slobodnu parcelu.
Druga faza izgradnje je u tijeku, ali zbog neriješenih imovinskopravnih odnosa ide sporo. Ovlašteni procjenitelji bili su na terenu i formirali su cijenu, no ta cijena ne odgovara vlasnicima zemljišta. Hoće li i kako država utjecati na to, još ne znamo, teško je procijeniti što je od državnog interesa. Nažalost, zbog toga smo propustili EU-ove fondove, koji su nam mogli riješiti kompletnu infrastrukturu – ističe Beus.

Etimologija imena mjesta Ravča kod Vrgorca još uvijek nije precizno definirana, no jedno od mogućih objašnjenja glasi da ime sela dolazi od zastarjele riječi "rab" (sluga).
S obzirom na to da je tadašnji makarski Kaptol imao dosta zemlje koju su stanovnici Ravče obrađivali, riječ "rab" u ovom bi slučaju označavala seljaka-najamnika. Danas nitko u selu ne živi isključivo od obrađivanja zemlje, no većina mještana bavi se nekom vrstom poljoprivrede, a rijetki i stočarstvom.
– Ne bih da ne moram. Penzija nikakva, radit više ne mogu koliko san moga pa san nabavio nešto koza – kaže nam jedan šezdesetogodišnjak.
Dodaje da u selu ima više prezimena negoli ih je bilo nekoć, no ljudi je manje. Mlađoj populaciji najviše nedostaju vršnjaci s kojima bi se igrali.
– Meni je sve super, imamo šumu, igralište i bućalište kraj crkve. Ljeti bude više djece, pa nas se skupi pet-šest.
Ja sam zadnji učenik u našoj školi i kad dogodine krenem u peti razred, škola će se zatvorit. Imamo i stariju sestru, ona radi u Austriji da zaradi za auto. Ja ne bi nikud selio odavde – kaže Teo Jović.
– Idemo često i na more, u Makarsku ili Ploče. Nedostaju nam druga djeca, ali ponekad se družimo s onima iz okolnih sela – dodaje njegova sestra Lana.

– Nedostaje nam grobnih parcela. Moja pokojna svekrva je u tuđem grobu, molili smo da nam se dodijeli mjesto, rekli smo i da ćemo sami napraviti grob, no sve se svede na predizborna obećanja.
Gospodarska zona još nije u potpunosti zaživjela, pokušala sam i tamo naći posao, ali smjene su ubitačne. Kad imate četvero djece, ne možete raditi do dva u noći.
Iako je pozitivno to što je cesta popravljena i postavljen novi sloj asfalta, kad autom izlazimo na cestu, zadnji kraj udara u beton jer pristupni put nije saniran. Obećali su taj dio nasuti, ali još čekamo – govori Milena.
Iz "Gradske čistoće" u Vrgorcu, koja upravlja posljednjim počivalištem u Ravči, kažu da trenutno ima desetak zainteresiranih za novu grobnicu, te da će se svakome odobriti izgradnja. Parcela na kojoj se planira proširenje groblja nalazi se zapadno od postojećega groblja i u vlasništvu je crkve svetog Mihovila.
Jedno od novijih prezimena u Ravči je i Klepo, a obitelj se u Vrgorsku krajinu doselila iz Jablanice (BiH) prije 35 godina.
– Otac je često dolazio poslom na ove prostore i tražio je mjesto gdje bi mogao kupiti zemlju. Splet okolnosti učinio je da to bude Ravča.
Ovdje sam išao u osnovnu školu, a srednju kamenoklesarsku završio sam na Braču jer se obiteljski bavimo klesarstvom. Prometna povezanost Ravče s drugim mjestima je odlična, a i Jablanica je blizu. U gospodarskoj zoni će, vjerujem, biti svega, ali trenutno nam najviše fali dućan – kaže Senid Klepo.

Direktorica poslovne zone Ravča Milka Beus objasnila nam je trenutnu situaciju.
– Zbog pandemije, koja je znatno usporila i prolongirala razvoj industrijske zone, Grad Vrgorac izašao je ususret investitorima te im je produžio rokove za izgradnju. Situacija se stabilizirala te dobivamo mnogo upita od raznih investitora, no trenutno nemamo nijednu slobodnu parcelu.
Druga faza izgradnje je u tijeku, ali zbog neriješenih imovinskopravnih odnosa ide sporo. Ovlašteni procjenitelji bili su na terenu i formirali su cijenu, no ta cijena ne odgovara vlasnicima zemljišta. Hoće li i kako država utjecati na to, još ne znamo, teško je procijeniti što je od državnog interesa. Nažalost, zbog toga smo propustili EU-ove fondove, koji su nam mogli riješiti kompletnu infrastrukturu – ističe Beus.
